If I were king, I'd order the charges be dropped in return for Menendez immediately resigning.

We don't have kings, but that would be a fair verdict.

And if Menendez was looking at being acquitted, it was only because the legal threshold for bribery in our nation is a sick, sad joke.


Everyone has the right to the best defense they can afford.  "Both sides do it" implies that there is something wrong with Abbe Lowell defending Menendez and Kusher.
