Atlas always provided some in-depth views on political history that really helped refined the simplified fairy tale you get taught in everything short of an advanced college course (of which I was only fortunate enough to take one, about the Civil War and Reconstruction and the true political coalitions behind both), and for that I am truly thankful.  Gems like Mechaman (spelling?) are truly missed.  Even the tsunami of shltstain partisans of the last 5 years or so doesn't take away from that.  So, to answer your question, I guess kind of!
