Seems like an administration of traitors and sell outs.

And voters who (still) willingly support said administration of traitors and sell outs.

This should be their biggest signal yet to jump ship and stop supporting this filth of a president.

If they were alive during Watergate they would have supported Nixon until the end too. No amount of evidence will ever penetrate that, especially when their news sources (Fox, Breitbart, others) are telling them it's all fake news and made up lies.

Sounds like the Papadopolous guilty plea is more significant than Manafort as the charge directly relates to contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia

Also looks like Mueller got someone to flip.

Nixon still had a 28% approval right before the end.

Plead guilty too:

Also:

Was he one of Manafort's allies or just a Trump campaign aide? (Just wondering to see how far Manafort's influence extended throughout the campaign)

He was a foreign policy advisor to Trump.

Ok thanks

Many of the charges were based on activities that took place before their work on Trump's campaign.  https://usat.ly/2if2AkJ  #PaulManafort

"From 2006 to 2017". Last time I checked, that timeline spans the Trump campaign.

Exactly. Mueller knows what he's doing. He's not going to go in on someone significant without a concrete case. Need witnesses for that and he seems to be trying to get them, if he doesn't already have them.

Who’s Rick Gates?

But seriously, I’m happy justice is being served.

Was essentially the deputy campaign chair when Manafort was the chair. Stayed on after Manafort was pushed out. Was on Trump's inauguration committee and currently works for one of the Trump outside PACs.

Ah ok

Thanks!

Safe bet that it links to this as well http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/investigators-follow-flow-money-trump-wealthy-donors-russian/story?id=50100024

Huh.

Also, was the charge of conspiracy against the US money-based or based on something else? Do we know yet?

Yes. On page 23 of the indictment, the conspiracy against the US charge is based off of defrauding the govt including DoJ and DoT.

Thank you!

Former Trump advisor George Papadolulos has also been charged and has pleaded guilty.

Regarding false statements to the FBI that are related to Russian interference.

Former Trump advisor George Papadolulos has also been charged and has pleaded guilty.

This may be even more significant. Papadolulos apparently pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about whether he was in contact with Russian government officials during the Trump Campaign.

The Papadopoulos indictment looks to be more related to collusion.  Read page 2 and the first part of 3 covering the false statements that he's accused of making to the FBI.

Good luck pardoning someone for conspiracy against the United States.

The first charge against Paul Manafort and Rick Gates — “conspiracy against the United States” — sounds dramatic, but it has a relatively straightforward explanation. It means that Manafort and Gates agreed to commit the illegal acts outlined in the rest of the indictment — i.e., violating foreign lobbying laws and misrepresenting their activities to the Department of Justice.

Conspiracy is a separate crime from the other offenses that Manafort and Gates are being charged with, and people can be convicted of conspiracy even if they don’t actually go on to commit the relevant offenses. There are dozens of conspiracy statutes on the books that involve specific illegal activities (which is why the second charge against Manafort and Gates is conspiracy to launder money). Members of the conspiracy can also be held liable for the illegal actions of other conspiracy members, which means that conspiracy charges can be used to turn defendants against each other.

The punishment for conspiracy against the United States is a fine or imprisonment for up to five years. The most common conspiracies involve fraud or drug trafficking — examples of people who have been convicted of various kinds of federal conspiracies include one of the men who planned 9/11 and several Enron executives.

George Papadopoulos, a Trump adviser, has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI on information directly relating to Russian intervention.

This day keeps getting better!

The Papadopolous indictment is more devastating as it relates directly to Trump-Russia collusion.
