afleitch hates Christianity and emo. Mineral combined those two things to the extreme.

I wouldn't describe Mineral as Christianity in the extreme -- it's certainly there, but in a lot of the songs you can just take out a broader, existential type theme.

Maybe but what I what I always found interesting is that their most Christian songs are basically emo angst in a theological context. Basically "I can't stand this world or my life, I just want to be in heaven."

No, the music band.
And zinc is metal, not mineral. The corresponding mineral is sphalerite.

And zinc is metal, not mineral. The corresponding mineral is sphalerite.

The International Mineralogical Association approved the following definition in 1995:

"A mineral is an element or chemical compound that is normally crystalline and that has been formed as a result of geological processes."

I don't know if you'd like Mineral jmfcst. They don't scream but they use a lot of distortion and Chris always sang in a weird way so the lyrics weren't very clear. Plus in true emo fashion they were quite obscure and it was difficult to tell in all cases they were about Jesus. Of course they weren't really a Christian band anyway.

I'm not sure which I dislike more.

You're an old Torie. Hence you don't know who Mineral were and can't appreciate them.
