I honestly hope 'Tmth's Stormfront Thugs' becomes a forum meme, if only because I never said anything of the sort.

No, but what you did say was almost as mystifying, insofar as it neglected that the latest rounds of offsite recruiting occurred because of the directives of a JCP president.

I'm not accusing the RPP of wanting to overflow the forum with some Stormfront thugs, but I'm generally opposed to the concept of off-site recruitment and long term policies to encourage it, no matter who proposes it.

Which is fine, but you said that an RPP administration would likely lead to offsite recruitment, which is misleading in two ways. One is that it would merely be the result of continuing the policies of the previous administration. The other is that it implies that any RPP candidate would support continuing offsite recruitment, which is (since the issue has never been polled, to my knowledge) an unfounded supposition. To my knowledge, only one member was recruited to join the RPP from offsite prior to the foundation of the PTFNMR.

Getting a leftist as a VP is hardly going to appeal the right! Roll Eyes
Tell that to your running mate.

Why?  You seem to assume Taoisigh has some strange type of power over the right wing.  I doubt it.

But if you could not find a running mate to form a ticket, then you could not split the right-wing vote. Therefore, a left-wing partisan would have a vested interest in you being able to find a running mate.

Yet it would work better with a right wing partisan; I gave the right the same chance.  I really was not looking for a left/right running mate.  I was looking for someone who agreed with me on the issues.

But a right-wing partisan would not be motivated by a desire to split the right. Besides, the candidate on the top of the ticket matters much more than the one on the bottom of the ticket in terms of voters' preferences. I doubt that a majority of the people who will be voting in the upcoming election will even be aware of your plan to resign a few weeks after taking office.

Well, if I were attempting to split the right, why would I choose a left wing candidate, since I matter a lot more than Taoisigh (according to you).

As to the majority not knowing, we're talking about "zombie voters," right?

I'm not saying that you intend to do so. I am talking about the motivations of the running mate, & pointing out that many left-wingers would like to see this ticket go far in hopes that it would help elect a left-wing President, along the lines of the 1912 Presidential election.

Some people would define them as zombies, whereas others wouldn't. Generally, I mean those people who pay a limited amount of attention to Atlasia. Even those who pay a great deal of attention to Atlasia may not know, really. I didn't know what Oakvale's position on offsite recruiting was until I researched it after reading Taoisigh/belgiansocialist's original post in this topic.
