Victimless Crimes Act

1. All penalties for current crimes that do not have a clear victim and perpetrator are to be abolished.

2. All Northeast citizens currently in prison and serving sentences for victimless crimes are to be released immediatly.

This is an EXTREMELY broad measure with inevitable unforseen consequences. Xahar's comment re: this likely allowing drunk driving (outside the minority of times the driver actually hits and cripples/kills someone) is spot on.

Maybe it'd be better to review repealing arguably victimless crimes on a statute by statute basis instead?

Exactly, let's not paint with this broad of a brush.  Wanna legalize prostitution?  Then do it by itself....etc. etc.

That seems like a good idea.

As said above, that is much too broad.  I'd prefer individual bills to repeal laws against victimless crimes.

Me and Dallasfan are working on some changes to the bill, so please do not be afraid that this will be the final result.

This is very good idea and I support the abolition of victimless crimes. No victims, no crimes.

But there are cases, like widely discussed drunk driving (not only), we should not consider the situation, when no one get hurt but people's health and life were put at the risk, as "victimless".

There are difference between harmless action by nature and considering a situation, when you put someone life in danger, nothing happened this time, but... well. You all see my point.

I am going to withdraw the Victimless Crimes Act from the table for the moment, not only because I think the issue needs to be reworked, but also because I feel other more important issues need to be dealth with.

Cheesy

You, my friend, just inspired federal legislation (assuming we don't already have such a program).

(Runs to drawing board).

The Prisoner Diet Reform Act

Northeast Prisons will not be permitted to feed prisoners meat, and will keep prisoners on a strict vegetarian diet.
