Yeah, well, I've retaken the test...

 1.  Liberal Quakers (100%)
2.  Unitarian Universalism (95%)
3.  Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (88%)
4.  Neo-Pagan (82%)
5.  Theravada Buddhism (81%)
6.  Mahayana Buddhism (80%)
7.  Taoism (79%)
8.  New Age (74%)
9.  Secular Humanism (71%)
10.  Bahá'í Faith (69%)
11.  Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (67%)
12.  Jainism (64%)
13.  New Thought (63%)
14.  Orthodox Quaker (59%)
15.  Reform Judaism (59%)
16.  Scientology (58%)
17.  Hinduism (58%)
18.  Sikhism (55%)
19.  Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (42%)
20.  Nontheist (41%)
21.  Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (37%)
22.  Jehovah's Witness (30%)
23.  Seventh Day Adventist (30%)
24.  Islam (25%)
25.  Orthodox Judaism (25%)
26.  Eastern Orthodox (14%)
27.  Roman Catholic (14%)

Feeling a little on the pantheist side today, obviously. Plus I'm very surprised at the Mainline Protestant result. No worse torture than a Lutheran sermon has ever been invented, in my experience. Last time I took the test, Islam got a percentage about twice that high, above 80% of the Christian groups listed. No. 1 & 2 are the same as always.

And I'd just like to point out this bit from the bottom of the page:

And Mormom's and Jehovah's Witnesses are better than most other Christians.

If that's the same test as the one on SelectSmart, and it certainly looks that way from the first few questions, then I'm supposed to be a Liberal Quaker.

They recommended Orthodox Judaism and Islam to me.

Anyway, how often is someone going to start threads like this?

I'm Catholic, and they suggested Liberal Protestantism, Jehovah's Witness (NEVER!), or Catholicism.

I don't profess to have a belief in God, though I am of Episcopal ancestry, and I imagine I still associate with that church on a cultural level.

But of course!  What other religious background could one such as yourself have?

I wonder, considering that Opebo recently posted a map of people in the U.S. named Cabot and Lowell in the "How common is your last name?" thread... Wink

A liberal Protestant.  I am not particularly bound to any sect, and am actually considering Roman Catholicism.

I would be happy to answer any questions that you might have.

On the test my No. 1 was 'Mainline to Conservative Christian Protestant' which I suppose is pretty much what I would consider myself to be. I'm not sure yet which denomination is my favorite; I'm currently a member of the United Methodist church but I think it's a bit too bureaucratic, the Baptist church looks pretty good except for being a bit too legalist, and I don't know enough about the other denominations to make an informed decision.
