AFAIK, all the balls are in the Court's court. They can either:
1. Make some regulations, or ask with help to make regulations.
2. Admit, or not, the nominations I had made.

Peter - I'll PM the other court members about their admittance.  Naturally, as a Justice, I would prefer not to see myself on this list until, if and when, I return to being a private citizen (regardless of what that actually means).

Discussions about regulations I suspect will probably have to wait a while.  I don't exactly speak for the Court here, but I speak for myself - this weekend and next week will be quite busy for me - and we will need to circulate and release the opinions for the two cases presently in front of us.

However, if you or Brandon H want to draft something, I'll be happy to look at it or circulate it (or you can send it to BM to circulate).

Lewis Trondheim

Colin Wixted
Torie

I am simply awaiting the BrandonH/Peter discussion to finish out before I address his nomination.  Naturally, I took myself off the approval list.

Given the amount of criminal trials we've had recently, I've been reminding myself to bump up this thread.

Now doing so.

I checked through the RowanBrandon trial thread, and it appears like Al is now a member of the Supreme Court Bar (and I approve).

I approve of Purple State's admittance.

I'm fine with Badger too.  He's made a number of cogent arguments in the past, imo.

btw, all names have been added to the Wiki, because as far as I know, only majority approval is needed.

I also want to formally approve TCash101, even though he hasn't been around for a while.

I'm going to kindly assume the Court had the courtesy and professionalism to PM Ben with its reasons for denial and steps deemed necessary for later admission, similar to RL. Otherwise such a terse "because we said so" decision would seem a grossly arbitrary misuse of the Court's statutorily granted discretion.

All questions that have been asked have been answered by me.  Basically, we decided there had to be some minimum standards for admittance to the Bar in terms of demonstrated intellectual acuity and legal understanding.  Maybe we'll write something down in the future.  And certainly, ben can resubmit an application if he wants (or a continuing application, I guess).
