People actually thought Rendell could be a candidate for national office?

But for a PA political scandal, he might have been VP this time.

#1 KEY THING to look out for in Mark Warner's speech-

will he focus it around an endorsement of Obama, or will he focus it around a separate raise d'etre that he himself embodies, as Obama did with Kerry in 2004?

The clues that have leaked so far suggest the latter. This is the key to his national ambitions.

Sebelius is actually unleashing some decent attacks on McCain... too bad she sounds like a robot.

Yes, Sebelius' speech would've been great on paper.  Sadly, she didn't say "But not John McCain," in the right tone of voice.  That made all the difference.

I've never heard Warner speak.  (And I regret passing up the opportunity to go to some events he was at)   How is he?

...four more...?

Crap.  That was stupid.  I should repeat it.

Casey, so far, has the best line of the convention, which has been kinda dull.

"That's not a maverick, that's a sidekick"

Yes, "Four more...that's all." Twice. Brilliant.

Bob Casey has an annoying whiney voice that undercuts his claim on from-the-gut populism.

The first half of that speech was horrible. It was filled with vague, glittering generalities.

The best part was when he talked about McCain's voting record and the sidekick line. However, he could have spent more time elaborating on his points but didn't.

He reminds me of the kid who's forced to give this speech in front of his class by his dad. I wonder if Rendell is looking at him up there thinking what a clown.
