Why is Florida considered winner-take-all? Republican National Committee's rules state no contest can be winner-take-all until to April 1, 2012

And yet Florida's delegates were granted as WTA in OTL, which led to speculation Gingrich would challenge certification (I believe this failed to happen, as Romney got the 50 delegates in the convention). I'll be keeping it as it happened in real life, but if players want to add extra flavor to the hunt for delegates they can sue and challenge certification (should be fun to simulate it via dice roll).

Apparently South Carolina was also winner-take all here, because Fletcher won by 16, and yet he won every delegate...unless he won every Congressional District by sizable margins, but even then, Christie, Jones or Paul should have picked up at least one delegate.

I judged him to win all districts, some of them by a narrow margin. Other than that, I'm not exactly knowledgeable on congressional districts, so if someone wants to present evidence as to a given district that would have likely not voted for Fletcher, I'm all ears.

(not to sound defensive, but there's a limit to my not extensive knowledge on US politics)

Any District along the coast likely would be closer than one further inland, and would support a candidate with views closer to Christie's than Fletcher's.

The 1st in particular, with Charleston at the center, would be most likely to go for Christie.

I admit to having no clue who would win in the 6th district, a Democratic stronghold, but I think Fletcher would win by varying margins everywhere else.

I think it will be best just to leave the delegates as Lumine has awarded them- the 2012 race was a relative cesspit in terms of delegates (IIRC there were at least 5-6 states that had weird conventions/changes, meaning the winner didn't get enough delegates)

So I'm happy for Fletcher to get the 25 delegates, on the understanding we're not going to have a battle over every delegate.

I also can't see the point in having it's own turn for Florida; mainly because that would probably mean we'd have to wait 7 days to get the result from Florida.

I think he gave them all to me because Romney won 26% of the vote IRL and only got 2 delegates. Christie got 21% of the vote.

Give it time...a lot of us are procrastinators.

Also, is there a debate this turn?

I don't especially want Biden debating against himself again, but at the same time, a warning of when the next debate/debates are would be nice.

I have to rule out hosting debates myself. If players want to introduce debates of their own each turn I will be happy to accept them and grade the performances, but that is an area I will have to fully outsource.

Evening, gentlemen! I'm sorry, but I won't be accepting further late entries into the game barring too many players dropping out.

I'm still willing to do the GOP debate (especially as Florida is a very important state), but maybe we should skip the Democrats, as DKrol, as Hillary, said he won't do it if you don't do the questions, Lumine.

Also, I know I sent a list of endorsements to choose from for Biden yesterday...have you read them?

Please do, I'd be grateful if you could host that debate. And yes, I'll reply to endorsements later today.

You two can join another game, as it's too late to join this one, I believe

You'd probably be helping me win South Carolina, tbh.

Vote Splitting between me and Biden?

I would also think about my chances in both Iowa and New Hampshire if I continued to Campaign on my ideas

Having two people split the ABC vote would be a massive boost, especially in a hostile contest.

You'd probably have done a respectable third in Iowa but found only minimal success in New Hampshire.
