Apparently the CNN reporter just impliedly complained about being up in the middle of the night.

"Why couldn't they have killed this cop during prime time?" - The media

Pretty disgusting.  Especially considering that they jumped into the story an hour or so late.  They should just show a live silent feed with the scanner over it and shut the hell up on the commentary.

Unfortunately, baseless speculation is better for their ratings.

Reminds me of the night bin Laden was killed and Geraldo Rivera started speculating that that's what the press conference was going to be about... because apparently Geraldo didn't learn the first time about live speculation.

But who shoots around at a campus at NIGHT ?

That would point more to an arrest attempt for the Boston suspects, who could have studied there and lived there and tried to flee.
