I like him. He was a genuinely nice guy, restored the respectability of the presidency, and actually came out in support of same-sex marriage later in life.

This is the closest thing I found to that statement.

"Asked specifically whether gay couples should get the same Social Security, tax and other federal benefits as married couples, he replied, "I don't see why they shouldn't. I think that's a proper goal."

Quite overrated.

With that said, considering the monsters who came before him and after him he isn't so bad.  So, by relative terms I would be compelled to vote FF.

Freedom fighter.  Decent, though not great, President.  I wasn't born yet in 1976 but probably would have voted for him in a heartbeat over Jimmy Carter.
