72 hours of debate time.

There have been different plans to redraw the map of Atlasia's regions. I wrote this bill because I am attached to the Northeast. By adopting this, the assembly will affirm our will to keep the regional boundaries intact and people who want to change it should get their hands off it.

Even if I agreed with the intent here, the text, for me, is reason enough not to pass it.  You should definitely consider fixing it.

I think the CARCA map would only remove DE, for what it's worth. I'll try to get an amendment to ths to fancy it up later.

I have tried to improve the text. I hope this version is better.

I think this resolution is a bad idea. We should try to preserve the North, but we also should not actively try to hinder the game. If every region passes a bill like this, it makes any change harder. If players want less regions, then what makes the North special enough to be immune to change?

I represent people of the Northeast. It is a survival position.

I'm extending debate time 24 hours to start a vote after US Thanksgiving so people are not absent.

The people survive regardless. This isn't going to kill them.

Indeed - we do get a free move after the change, don't we?

We are at final vote lasting 48 hours or until all representatives have voted.

The final version of the bill is below.

NAY

While I am somewhat skeptical towards consolidation, the fact is if we consolidate we can't give a special exemption for the Northeast. Actually, a common complaint I see with the three region maps is that Northeast isn't changed enough, when compared to other regions. The reason for that is because the location of the Northeast doesn't allow you to change it much without making the map look ridiculous.

The result of the vote is 2 Ayes and 2 Nays.
One representative is acting Governor so not eligible to vote.

There is no majority in support of the bill. The bill has failed to pass in the assembly.
