Now, I've noted that American leftists occasionally make good points.

I've even found myself in agreement with some points made by the French.

But, now I find a French leftist who really got it right (pardon the pun)

This is from a longish article in the LA Times:

Eric Aeschman, writing Thursday in the left wing French newspaper Liberation, expressed nostalgia for "the good old days when bankers jumped out of windows."  He condemned the bailout as "extortion."

Nationalize the banks and throw the bastards out of the windows.

Haha, just kidding.  But the State has to 'bail out' capitalism if we're going to have capitalism - it doesn't 'work' otherwise, isn't tenable.  The answer is to bail everyone out from the bottom up - Keynesianism.

That comment makes little or no sense, Opebo. Your dream of massive redistribution won't bring the surcease you seek, from the torment of  your detachment from the world of work.

Bankers should certainly be figuratively defenestrated. Still conflicted on whether or not we need to literally throw them from windows.

At this rate many of them will take the initiative themselves.
