It's easy enough to make the case the other direction. Since everything belongs to God (the Psalmist says "The Earth is the Lord and all it holds") then, in fact, "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and render unto God the things that are God's" becomes "Give nothing to Caesar and everything to God" coded in such an obscure way that the Romans don't pick up on the message.That's a tricky interpretation considering the context of the whole passage:
