I have only seen a few famous people in my life time. The latest one was Kevin Bacon. I saw him on a beach in Anguilla. My Dad though has met and knows some rather famous people:

John Snow
Alan Greenspan
Donald Rumsfeld
Peter Fitzgerald, former Republican Senator from Illinois
Most of the heads of the Central Banks of Europe, I personally don't know there names.
Jim McGreevey, personal friend of my cousins wife, met him at my cousins wedding

and a few others.
