It doesn't matter, she needs to come close in an early primary state, like NV or SC and now Bernie is kneck and kneck with Biden in SC and NV

South Carolina would be ground territory to start fleshing her challengers away. Just mentioned Bernie tone-deaf racial comments or Biden's past bill votes and she'll start to gain ground with the constituency that will put our nominee against Trump.

This will come. People are still acting like the votes are cast tomorrow.

Harris had been polling 5% ever since the Biden surge.  So, its not like she has been close since, she was the frontrunner in March, in these poll.

Bernie has been in second in most of these polls and had a bump before Biden made the announcement.

Californians are looking at other candidates. The only superdelegate to go out of his way to support Harris was Newsom. Rendell is supporting Biden

The trouble with that contention is that Harris' success with black Democrats is so far confined mostly to donors and party actors.

At the grassroots she's doing better among loyal white liberals, presumably including the woman responsible for the frightening rictus on that Twitter account. There's not much indication of wider appeal among black Democrats yet, let alone among the more marginal black voters - younger, poorer, and less likely to vote in primaries - who turned out for Obama in both of his generals. And there's very little reason to believe that she holds anything like Obama's potential among any other group of swing voters or marginal non-voters.

The problem is Gavin Newsom, who won a landslide election victory in the state of California, due to his success in SF, on SSM, not LA county.  People of Latino and Black origin, especially, blacks, who are unfamiliar with SSM and are looking for a trailblazer, in California, who can wipe out poverty. So, far, unlike Jerry Brown, who was recognized by Black and Latino politicians, Newsom has failed like Trump, end poverty. Someone on the left will challenge Gavin Newsom in 2022, he isn't assured reelection. He was the biggest endorser of Harris campaign.

There is no evidence Harris energizes black voters. Assuming blacks will only be motivated to vote by another black candidate is borderline racist.

What? Biden doesn't energize black voters? C'mon, he was Veep to Obama.

Unfortunately, for Kamala Harris, SF elites are viewed as elitist, just like Nancy Pelosi. Obama was able to break the color barrier, due to him being a male. However, just like Condi Rice, when black females are viewed as not as progressive as they should be towards, minorities, they don't win higher office. Bullock probably will get the Veep slot, not Harris.

Whatever deceptive math tricks help you sleep at night....those ratios are well within the margin of error. A three or four percentage points in has a significant impact on any one person's ratio when discussing a primary electorate.

It's also not how you win a primary. Donald Trump certainly had the worst in that metric for the entirety of the primary season (with perhaps a brief stretch for Ted Cruz).

Harris beat expectations, before Biden jumped in. When, he gotten into the race, the attention went back to Sanders and Biden.  Now, Harris is in third place.

Her phenomenal favorable ratings are consistent across all pollsters, but whatever will “help you sleep at night”! Smiley

A Biden presidency would bold well for the country in the long run.  Environmentalists have blocked Pacific Continental Shelf, oil drilling. Biden and Tim Ryan won't be tied to those interest groups and will allow more oil drilling.  Gas prices are too high and needs to be brought down.

The problem for Harris is IA, its a WWC state and she has the same problem as Hilary did in IA, if she can't break through in IA or NH, Biden will win SC and the nomination.  Harris needs to win SC.

If Harris is the nominee I'm changing my registration to Republican and voting for Trump.

Harris need a strong 3rd place showing in IA and NH behind 1. Biden and 2.) Sanders in order to be competetive and needless to say, so far, she's not.  Biden will be the nominee of our party.

All Harris had to do is show plight of the poor by touring more homeless areas and going on local CA TV talking about. Feinstein has said nothing and Newsom isnt as bad Feinstein. SF homelessness has dominated news in California

She'll be his running mate.

I don't know why you keep saying that, she has no interest in being Veep. She clearly says she will return to Senate if she isnt the nominee

But you said Harris would lose to Trump. Why do you want the two frontrunners to be thuse you called 'least electable'? Would you go to Bernie?

The polls showed a complete landslide for Biden, even winning TX, NC and AZ, 400 vote landslide. I didn't commission the polls..

This gaffe will hurt Biden

The problem for Bernie and Harris is they have two rivals that stand in their way to the nomination.  This is why Biden wasnt worried about comments, he knows the left is split among Harris and Bernie, the electable ones, and Warren and Booker

Kamala had a strong debate at CNN town hall before Biden announced. BETO was the one that missed out, having skipped the debate, it set the tone for Biden. Other than Harris, Beto, was the only other one that could beat Biden

If her polls continue to rise and Booker gets stuck at 3%, he needs to support Harris, this will get black leadership, to do more to support Harris.

There are 0 Dem govs and 3 black senators. Jesse Jackson Jr was primed to run for Prez one day, if Blago appointed him, but FBI charged him. Mfume could have been Senator, Ben Cardin, who has been a disappointment,  beat him.

Her peformance proved that Dems see Biden as another Trump, who divides the country. In an election that the Kremlin doesnt get involved in, normal trends will return, and WI, PA and MI will comeback home to Dems

We dont need another Trump in Oval Office, Biden reminds Dems, females and minorities,  that he is one, by saying he wants to compromise with a segregationist

Shut up.

Harris and Warren have cut into Biden's lead in IA and NH. If Biden doesnt win either state, Clyburn will help Harris win SC. Beto will probably help Harris in TX over Biden and then you got Cali and Newsom

Making proposals that encourages black homeowners will help Harris. Blacks are rebuilding their credit after 2008 crash.
