Just being Frank Murphy's home state would be enough to make it a FS.  But being the UAW's heartland in addition to it makes it an epic FS.

I actually have a friend going to college in Michigan right now (Flint, to be exact). Hopefully, I'll get to see him again soon.

Anyways, while several of the state's large urban areas have race relation problems (i.e. Detroit, Flint, and St. Joseph/Benton Harbor). It still has a lot going for it. Ann Arbor and the northern L.P. look great.

Plus, there's the beautiful Upper Peninsula:

Although the Motor City doesn't make cars like it used to, Michigan is still the home of Motown, great scenery, and Cathcon, so FS.

Generally good. Detroit and the other big cities such as Flint and Ann Arbor bring the opinion down significantly, but I've always had a soft spot for the Upper Midwest as the people are friendly and its beautiful during the Fall and Winter, despite the cold weather. So FS
