We really shouldn't have a gangbang on any specific poster.  Especially when he's older.

He's old enough to be the father or even grandfather of most of the posters on here. It's a shame how they constantly go after him.

We really shouldn't have a gangbang on any specific poster.  Especially when he's older.

Sure, I always give him extra deference on account of his age, but let's not pretend he doesn't bring the scrutiny and criticism upon himself. For example, I've never been anything but patient and cordial to him, and have repeatedly bent over backwards to defend him to people who are (understandably) sick of his sh**t, and this is how he thanks me:
He's better than AltorBotox, ProudModerate2, and 136 or 142.  He's probably better than Harry.  He's definitely better than the departed ag.  I agree that this is a very low bar.  He's at Landslide Lyndon levels.

(Note that I had not participated on the thread in question, nor did it have anything to do with me, nor had we recently been sparring, which could have led to him making an emotional comment that he didn't really mean.)

Maybe he inadvertently misattributed someone else's rude comment to me or something, but it's very, very difficult to continue to try to see the best in someone who is so consistently unpleasant and rude. And there's a lot of people around here (recently TSA, but several others too) who get it worse from him unjustifiably than I do.

The people who are "sick of his [expletive]" are the very people causing the trouble. They harass him (and others), denigrate him, and have nothing but unkind things to say. They are unable to find any common ground with him, and treat him as if he were an inbred racist, a white supremacist, or an evangelical fanatic. They are unable to acknowledge when he is right, and when they are wrong. He has every right to fight back against people such as these.

Yeah, that's just not an accurate description of his interactions with others here. He is far less kind to people than they are to him. People bend over backwards to try to congratulate him when he says something atypically non-terrible (check out his recommendations if you don't believe me), and people try to see the good in him MUCH more often than he tries to see the good in others.

I know you want to stick up for a fellow blue avatar, it's natural, but sometimes we all have to look at people on our side for what they really are.

I'm not blind to his faults. Fuzzy Bear does have the habit of making snide comments, which in some instances, does not help the situation. And I have disagreed with some of his policy/political stances as well. However, that doesn't change the fact that most of his detractors don't seem to be interested in engaging with him on a more substantive basis. People like ProudModerate2 and LandslideLyndon, in particular, find joy in denigrating him, and are unwilling to acknowledge when he might be right on something.

God, theoretically, is all powerful and can manifest himself in any form or situation imaginable. If you’re able to accept that Fuzzy is a Christian, you certainly shouldn’t be surprised. Call it bizarre all you want (those aren’t fighting words btw - it’s a free country and you’re free to not follow any faith too) but Fuzzy is EXTREMELY representative of a huge demographic of the country. Saying he’s unique among right-wingers isn’t the case.

I happen to think Fuzzy as the personification of the forgotten man and the silent majority of this country. I think he’s a good and Godly man, the kind who’d give the shirt off his back to help someone. You can disagree. But Fuzzy is, to me at least, one of the best posters because of this. He’s got his fingers dipped in the current that carried Trump to office. To lose that kind of insight on a forum like this would be a tragedy.
You're definitely right that he's representative of millions of Americans, but I don't know how in the world you get the "he'd give you the shirt off his back guy" vibe out of him. Fuzzy is constantly making rude, mean-spirited personal attacks on people here. And he's SO repetitive about it.

Like, Reaganfan (for example) has posted worse stuff on here overall on the racist/Trumpist scale, but Reaganfan doesn't generally attack individual posters specifically. Fuzzy stands in total contrast to that - just a total belligerent prick in the way he interacts with people. In fact, he himself has acknowledged it, that he gives people attitude on purpose as an arguing tactic. Fuzzy might actually be a nice guy in real life, but his forum persona would laugh and scowl at someone in distress. He's as far away from a "give you the shirt off his back guy" as this forum has.

I wonder if you would apply the same standard to ProudModerate2 or Landslide Lyndon. Those two are especially egregious with their insults and attacks against others.

What kind of clown question is that? Obviously I would never allow a person's politics to determine whether or the poster is a nice or nasty. I've called out people on my side lots of times when they cross the line.

It is not a "clown question". It is a reasonable one, given how you continue to treat "right-leaning" posters with a measure of opprobrium, even when "calling out" people on your side. For example, in the thread you mentioned, you bashed "right-wing" stereotypes about liberals.

I view people doing this to me as committing slander and libel.  Nothing happens to them; their posts aren't even moderated.  (I was told to report posts, and I have, and I fail to see any effect.)  I'm not going to let people slander or libel me, though.  I will push back on that.  Please tell me why I should not.

Cut the bullsh**t Fuzzy. You went and cried to PIT and succesfully got 2 of my posts deleted ... because I said that you don't believe Jews and other non-Christians can go to Heaven. That's neither slander nor libel, because you've said over and over that you do believe that. (Or you could correct me right now if you don't.)

Quit playing the persecuted victim. There are tangible examples of moderators who DO stretch the TOS to do you what you want them to do.

Another example of what I was talking about earlier, of your inability to restrain yourself from attacks on Fuzzy Bear and other posters of his kind.

A. There are no "others." I am excessively polite to literally everyone else on the forum. Not sure why you had to throw a little exaggeration into there, but perhaps you confused me with someone else.

B. Nothing I said was an "attack" on Fuzzy. Attacks are personal in nature and not relevant to the topic. All I did was provide a disproving counterexample of Fuzzy's oft-posted, oft-debunked narrative that he's treated unfairly here.

C. I'm much, much, much more polite to Fuzzy than he is to me or dozens of other posters here, and even you will agree (if you do an unbiased, good-faith look into the facts) that Fuzzy's "I AM SO PURRRRSECUTED!!" shtick is annoying and objectively false, and if people didn't call him out on it, posters and lurkers who didn't look into it would believe what he's saying is true.

If telling someone to "cut the [expletive]" and to "stop playing the persecuted victim" is being "excessively polite", than your worldview must be an entirely distorted one.

Haven't you left the forum because we were too mean to you?

How very mean. You don't deserve to be here and the Devil is going to get you.

I decided to come back and try my luck again, in spite of the antics of individuals such as this one. I'm scrupulously adhering to my ignore list this time, and the only reason why I am responding here is because LandslideLyndon's post was quoted. The reason why I left was because I was frustrated with dealing with people on here, and I didn't think that it was worth it for me to contribute here any further. But this time around, I will not let others get to me as before.

Then do your job and delete Harry's post for a personal attack.  I've had posts less harsh than that be deleted.

It's highly unlikely that he will do so, because as you can just see, he engaged in an attack of his own upon me. Part of the reason I left this website for a time is because some of the moderators on here (Kalwejt, Gustaf, TexasGurl) are not above engaging in attacks of their own upon individual posters, violating the very Terms of Service which they are supposed to enforce!

Oh look who came crawling back

Yes, I'm back. And I will not let users such as yourself get to me this time.

"such as myself" I never once attacked you on this site.

You just did so just now. As I said, I shall not flinch this time.
