I think it's disgusting that millennials get so much hate these days. It really needs to end, what purpose does it serve?

They are the worst generation ever (until the next comes of age undoubtedly), so it's completely justified.

Hopefully it shames some of them into changing.

Millennials getting bashed by boomers is always a joke, but that doesn't mean that millennials as a whole seem to have issues with entitlement.

In the abstract?  Inevitable, just as Millennials will trash whatever future generation holds their current age range.

It's not "bashing" when it's true.

One must remember that (1) Boomers destroyed America; and (2) every subsequent generation has had to deal with the social fallout for that, that said, this does not excuse Millennials for the way they appear to have wholeheartedly embraced the disgusting trappings of modernity. This is not political; it simply stands that many strands of youth culture with regards to fashion and fads are God-awful. Social media, when not used sarcasticakkt, is garbage. Politically, a number appear denationalized or, conversely, to have embraced some sort of faux-patriotism handed down to them that consists mainly of drinking domestics while shouting "Lock 'er up, boyz!" I will nevertheless grant them that they (1) appear to live more "sustainable" lives than those of their materialistic forebears; and (2) have helped call into being some great postmodern television shows. I suspect Z will be even worse.

Utter garbage. If we members of other generations were judged by the same standards by which I have seen millennials judged, every generation would be judged by its absolute worst members.

The Greatest Generation would be defined by Adolf Hitler, not the heroes who fought in World War II.
The Boomers would be defined by the hippies who spit on veterans coming back from the war, or the selfish lying thieves who caused the housing crash.
Gen X would be defined by someone like the Fort Hood shooter, not Elon Musk or someone like that.

People should be judged as individuals only, not as groups. The year I was born doesn't define who I am... sheesh.

If you're gonna attack millennials, you need to attack us on the right things. I wrote about this in another post, but a lot of the social indicators that many social conservatives like to point to to prove the moral fabric of society is deteriorating just isn't true. In fact millennials have reversed a lot of those negative societal indicators.

Massive generalization obviously, but boomers had it so good and many will absolutely refuse to admit it. Tell me more about our generational sense of entitlement when we routinely take on thousands of dollars in debt just to obtain college degrees that will hopefully marginally increase our odds of finding employment in a hyper-competitive economy, person who lived during a time when one could literally not even finish high school, much less college, and still find a decent, well-paying job with relative ease.

Every generation that isn't my generation is the worst generation. Therefore, Millennials are the best generation.

Utterly lame. Not only does it follow literally millennia of similar "what about those kids today" criticism, it's more unjust than most considering how bad the baby boomers have screwed up and what the millennials have to "look forward to" in this country.

This (Millennial), although I'm the first to concede that I still don't really agree with or "identify" with a lot of the allegedly-characteristic trappings and hobbyhorses of Millennial culture.

There's far more differentiation between subcultures than between generations in many cases, so definitely HA.

In ten years, Millenials will be bashing the next generation just as well. And after twenty years, said generation will bitch about those who followed them.

Oh, I completely agree. Every single generation has been worse than the one before it since the beginning of time.
