Obama's rally in Philly on Friday was the biggest of his campaign - 30,000 people in attendance. And to think that I was considering going down...

I will go see him here if he comes to the Triangle area. I'm hoping he holds a rally in the Dean Dome. I want to faint and feel the power of change in my life!

Am I right in thinking that Philly and its suburban counties tend to report earlier than the rest of the state?

Dave

Ya, Pennsylvania runs up positively frightening large Dem majorities on general election night, before things start to erode back down.

Yep. I remember during the 2004 election, Kerry jumped out with a 61-38% lead and the networks quickly called it, but then it came back down to a 51-49 tally.

Probably not till 9:30 or so. I think they waited a while to call it in Ohio as they thought all the obama territory hadn't been counted. I expect obama to run up a big lead as Philly is counted first. Olbermann will be giddy when he sees barack jump out to a 60-40 lead early on.

These Drudge early numbers always favor Obama. It's actually not good that he's 4% behind this early. Wasn't he tied in Ohio with her early on?

Foxnews has Obama doing a bit worse among highly educated voters, but a little better among gun owners than expected.

That sounds like awfully bad news for Obama...

How so?  It doesn't sound especially worse than Ohio, and Ohio was hardly a mega-landslide.

No, but if Clinton wins by 10-15% again in Pennsylvania, it will be yet another opportunity blown by Obama to seal the deal.

I would've thought Obama would jump out to a big lead early. He isn't winning Philly by as big a margin as I thought.

Why is Obama blatantly lying about McCain and his record? He isn't even trying to tell the truth. He's taking so much of his words out of context that it's almost pathetic. I can't wait till he gets into a debate with McCain.

My One and True God shall smite you.

(I can say that because I have a Republican avatar now)

So you've joined God's Own Party (GOP)? If so, welcome! If you are joking, the one True God will smite you!

Don't worry.  The day that I register with a political party is the day I die.  Or move to a state that makes me do that, I guess.  But death sounds so much more intense.

It is a purdy avatar, though.

At least if you die while being a Republican, you'll go to Heaven.

...and I heard you get good deals on really nice cars...

These cars eminate the prestige of the glorious Republican party- (If you don't have one- you're not a Republican- you're just bitter)

....or am I just  an out of touch elitist (who does it on an tight budget, mind you)?

Nice! My father has the Cadillac and I have the Mercedes second from the bottom (the C class style).

Uh, excuse me, that is very very insulting. I am a Christian, and God has no party. Not a Democrat, not a Republican. Please take your comment back.

I am a Christian too, but I have a sense of humor.
