Yep. Don't like his politics? Fine. I don't like them very much either. But at least he's freaking engaging with people, even if it's through the most 21st century way imaginable.

My opinion of him changed after watching Street Fight. I have a lot more respect for him now, and I would highly suggest that his haters watch it.

Even though he is not my first choice, I do think he'd make a decent president and if he wins the nomination I'll work my heart out for him.

Fmr Clinton campaign Press Sec. Brian Fallon has some high praise for Chris Murphy:

Brian Fallon‏ @brianefallon
This should be model for other lawmakers: Murphy invests personal warchest to aid grassroots movement in home state

This kind of Booker hate is just irrational.

Yeah, people to chill about Cory. People act as if he's the worst senator to come out of New Jersey when he's the best since Bill Bradley.

Martin O'Malley probably just lost himself a lot of voters: Bernie wouldn't have won

Murphy spoke before the Council on Foreign Relations tonight, and offered his own proposals for ramping up funding for the State Department and foreign aid:

Agreed. Although Im not happy about his recent drug vote ties I would feel compelled to support him as I like that he can be bipartisan.

Here’s my summary of early primary state visits so far in calendar year 2017:

Iowa: 2 visits by O’Malley, 1 by Feingold, 1 upcoming visit by Klobuchar
New Hampshire: 1 upcoming visit by Kasich, 1 upcoming visit by Biden
Nevada: 1 upcoming visit by Sanders
South Carolina: 1 visit by O’Malley

Also, Booker did an interview with the NH TV station WMUR from his office in DC.

Am I forgetting anything?

As mentioned earlier in the thread, when he’s not making trips to Iowa and South Carolina to lay the groundwork for his 2020 campaign, O’Malley has been at Boston College this spring semester, teaching a course there.  Looks like he’ll be returning to Maryland in the fall to teach undergraduates at the University of Maryland:

If any of you in the DC area are free on a late afternoon on a Thursday this fall, you should pop into this class to ask Prof. O’Malley about his 2020 plans.

While on the subject of presidential trips, Booker was in Florida last weekend fundraising and campaigning for Bill Nelson, Indiana the week before for Donnelly, Ohio for Brown, and Montana for Tester.

With Klobuchar heading back to Iowa, a reminder that she visited there in both 2013 and 2014 (prompting speculation about her 2016 intentions), and went back multiple times in 2015/2016 to campaign for Clinton in the caucuses.  (She also went to New Hampshire, to campaign for Clinton in the primary there, and then again in the fall for the general election.)  Here's a pic of her with Jamie Lee Curtis at an event in Iowa from January 2016:

http://bloximages.chicago2.vip.townnews.com/iowastatedaily.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/4/45/445cbfb6-c307-11e5-a8fe-cb0d8df4f6e7/56a581805f2e2.image.jpg

So this'll be at least the fifth year in a row that she's visited the state at least once.

She also spoke to the Iowa delegation at the DNC in 2012, and then again in 2016.  When Harkin introduced her to the Iowa delegation at the DNC last year, he called her "Iowa's third Senator":

Cool.  You should also ask him if "Love" should have a permanent seat on the UN Security Council:

Updated list of upcoming 2020-related events:

Apr. 18: Warren’s book comes out, and she begins her book tour
Apr. 23: O’Malley visits New Hampshire
Apr. 25: Kasich’s book comes out, and he begins his book tour (including Apr. 27 stop in NH)
Apr. 30: Biden speaks at McIntyre-Shaheen fundraising dinner in New Hampshire
May 7: Klobuchar speaks at Polk County (Iowa) Dem. fundraising dinner
May 16: Center for American Progress’s “Ideas Conference” in DC, which will include speeches by Booker, Bullock, Garcetti, Gillibrand, Harris, Murphy, and Warren (and probably others too)
May 30: Franken’s book comes out, and he begins his book tour
June 9-11: “People’s Summit” in Chicago, which will include speeches by Sanders and Gabbard, among others.

Btw, speaking of the Ideas Conference, looks like there’s going to be some sort of “after party” that evening:

http://interact.americanprogress.org/invitation/2017/ProgressiveParty/index.html

If you’re under 30 years old, you can potentially get in at a discounted rate of just $350.  Tongue  But you might see one or more of the 2020 candidates while there.

Meanwhile, in Kasich’s latest comments, he seems to be pretty down on the GOP:
