The both sides argument is not going to apply here. This is a one sided mess.

Bannon wants Trump to start throwing some punches...

Yeah, because Trump is so obviously good at getting Congress to do what he wants...

It's not like they have another reconciliation shot. If they want to defund Mueller, they'll need to do it in face of a filibuster threat.

Bannon is being reckless.

Mueller and his team will bury them if they go this route.

If Trump pushed to get Mueller's funding cut, couldn't that beef up the obstruction of justice case?

Not sure about the funding, but witholding documents would beef up the obstruction case.

I would say "beef up" would be a pretty big understatement there. There's some theoretical plausible deniability for firing Comey (although it's harder to say that given Trump's public comments about why he fired him) but if he screws with the Mueller investigation I'd say that's blatant obstruction.

“Don’t think this is a coincidence,” Hannity said. “Last week right here on this program, we had stunning revelation after revelation, day after day, about Hillary Clinton, Uranium One, the fake news dossier.”
Mueller had to act because Hannity was exposing him!
HAHA he's lost his mind!

So when are you just going to flat-out admit that you've blown Trump for financial favors?

No way the mods don't delete this, but I've never been accused of having self-control in the presence of obnoxious twats.

There's a song in Into the Woods that fits with the current situation. It's called the Last Midnight.

Agony is also on topic, especially since it applies to both pro- and anti-Trumpers for now.

“Schadenfreude” from Avenue Q is far more appropriate than either, though. Wink

If Trump is even talking to someone who is advising him to cut Mueller's funding it's bad for his obstruction of justice defence.

There's a rumor that Papadapolous wore a wire for 6 months during the Trump campaign, maybe he's their canary if it's true.

Can we not go full Sean Hannity here? Why in the world would he wear a wire on the campaign, which was a full year before his arrest?

Yeah, if anything, he would've worn a wire after July. But how much access did he have to the White House in the past 5 months? Not like this administration keeps detailed record logs.

I dont know what @ahugecat is posting since I have them on ignore, but its kind of ruining the thread.

It's a good thing that we have moderators capable of ensuring that discussion is kept civil and topical

oh wait
I don't have him on ignore. I find his defenses amusing at-best.

People like Santander, Sprouts, hugecat, etc. that are capable of derailing interesting threads on a whim are just the worst

On most forums posters that do that sort of thing are banned quickly, but since the admin of this site only bothers to post here when his name is put in capital letters at the beginning of a thread, it's not really surprising that the standards here have eroded

LOL, Santender's daily goal seems to be to get someone to dish him out an insult that's worthy of being his new signature.

Yeah, it just doesn't add up that he would wear a wire during the campaign and then plead guilty to lying to the FBI 3 months after trump wins the election.  This just came out of the fever swamps of the internet. (same place as Hillary Pedophilia ring)

I LOVED Olbermann when he was on ESPN. His snarky sense of humor was fun, and didn't do much damage. When he moved to politics, he just turned into a destructive liberal-minded personality assassin. (Exactly what Glenn Beck was for the right).  MSNBC has some less vindictive minded people now.
