I think Sanders perfectly fits the bill to balance the ticket.

Booker is more of an establishment Democrat where Sanders is king of the outsider progressives. He's frequently attacked for some inconsistencies and grandstanding/charisma gaffes, whereas Bernie is probably one of the best speakers in modern politics.

Probably doesn't win back the rust belt completely, but with Booker/Sanders I could see Michigan and Pennsylvania flipping back blue.
