Having received the authority from the House of Commons and the House of Lords to begin these negotiations, Prime Minister May is ready to begin the negotiating process for enacting Article 50 and withdrawing from the European Union. These are, we feel, the most pressing issues in these negotiations and our stances on them:

1) The Free Movement of People:
The British voters made it clear that they want the United Kingdom to have borders again. We cannot, under any circumstance, continue to have the free exchange of peoples once we leave the EU. We do not, however, envision a move towards isolationism. We still believe that the people of Europe have contributions to make to British society, but we want them to be treated as they would if they were visiting the United States, or Canada, and that involves checking in at border control, having a passport stamped, and being deemed an appropriate and safe person for entry.

2) The Single Market and Fees to the EU:
We look first to the example of Norway on this matter. The Norwegians contributes about £140 per head for their access to the Single Market, compared to the £220 per head that the UK pays at the moment. We feel that paying £140 per head, as Norway does, would be inappropriate for the United Kingdom. We want to begin negotiations on a grand UK-EU Free Trade agreement that will benefit both sides, without having to pay into the EU budget, since we will no longer be members of the EU.

3) Regulations
The British people made it clear that they do not want to be choked under the burden of EU regulations any longer. We are looking for a complete detangling of British society from EU regulations, propagated out of Brussels. This is not to say we are going entirely laissez-faire, we will not have children working in mills and sausages containing who knows what, but the regulations will come from Westminster.

We feel that these three points are the most important to both the Government and the British people. We look forward to negotiating our exit with you over the next two years.
