I have decided how to treat the CL final.

It is of paramount importance that Chelsea do not qualify for the Champions Leage, so if they manage to lose out in the league and depend on the CL final, I will be forced to root for Bayern.

Failing that, it would be very sweet to see Bayern come second in everything this year, so if they lose the German cup final they should lose the CL final as well.

And if both of these hopes are squashed before the final, I'll boycott it and call for lifelong bans of anyone who dares participate in this travesty. Tongue

Cologne relegated, Hertha somehow manage to hit the playoffs ranks after all (who against? That'll be decided tomorrow. Düsseldorf, Pauli and Paderborn all being fighting hard to escape promotion). Oh yeah, Hanover clinch the last Europa League position.

Düsseldorf will be the lucky sods.

boooooooo Sad

Premier League results were basically perfect though.
Pauli "coolness" and "leftism" has a real history but today is 99.6% clever (and successful) marketing shtick.

Eh. Still better than D'doof.

Dortmund has...what?...one or two starters on the national side, right? That's all I recognize. If so, great result. I can only hope Chelsea win the Champions League to depress Bayern/Germany heading into the Euros. Smiley
It looks as if Chelsea will likely be out of Europe entirely unless they win this game.

Therefore they must not win it. Let's at least hope Bayern wins in a way that can't be used to spin the game as legendary in any way or form. Their last CL win may serve as a model.

hahahahaha united tears are delicious

Also calling it "soccer" and using the acronym "EPL" when you don't want to type out Barclay's Premier League is perfectly fine, Tweed. Only snobby pedants would argue otherwise.
You would, of course, need to have had something ugly done to your brain to be even able to memorise the first word of that.

Meanwhile, this is real determination:

Playoff for the last second division slot, and yeah the away goal rule applies.

Guangzhou Evergrande is one of the world's elite clubs.

Is that really their motto? Dear lord...
More of a "mission statement" in my mind.

Lol, after Luiz' foul against Robben, Ribery screamed and shouted and demanded a yellow (and got it). Radio comment: "Ribery thinks he's the only one who's allowed to beat up Robben".

Barca got a penalty right around the same time in the semifinal, which Cech also saved.

Without sounding like a whinger, I have to say that Craig Thompson is a disgrace to Scottish football, to think we are sending him to the Euros is actually worrying. A obese, blind 80 year old who didn't know the rules of the game would have done better then him. Without his shocking bias we could have been in that game, but we had lost as soon as Suso dived. Deary me.

He's talking about the Scottish cup final, btw. And seems to be a Hibs man. I approve of that. Smiley

Bayern simply isn't allowed to win this. That's the only explanation for all of this.
Maybe tptb have decided that Chelsea must play CL, and have informed - not the referee, that would be too blatant - but the Bayern players of the fact. Grin

I think it's time to start the 2012-13 thread after today's relevance-surgically-removed friendlies.

Apparently, Ron Zieler made history yesterday as the first ever German goalkeeper sent off in an international match.
There's a first time for everything, I suppose.
