All the usual caveats about Zogby apply, but I still thought this was kind of interesting:

national poll, taken in the days following announcement of E. Edwards' cancer:

http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1267

Dems:
Clinton 32
Obama 22
Edwards 13
everyone else at 2 or less

This is not significantly different from what other polls have shown, pre-cancer.

GOP:
Giuliani 27
McCain 13
F. Thompson 9
Romney 9
everyone else at 3 or less

With the exception of Fred Thompson, the poll only includes candidates who have either declared their candidacy or set up exploratory committees.  So no Gore, Gingrich, or Hagel.  I think this may be an all time low for McCain in a national poll.  Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but is this the first national primary poll to include Thompson?  While I'm kind of bullish about how well he could do if he were to run, I didn't expect him to do this well this early on, as I didn't think his name recognition was that high.  This also comes a few days after that ARG poll that showed Thompson in third place in Iowa.

In fact, I posture to say that the question is not who is going to win in '08, but rather, is Hillary RE electable in '12.

Ummm....I think you're getting a little carried away here.

Obahma, Edwards, etc supporters will have no problem voting for Clinton.

I'm going to have to disagree there.

George Washington is rolling in his grave.

How would you know?

February numbers in paratheses

Clinton 32 (33)
Obama 22 (25)
Edwards 13 (12)
Biden 2 (2)
Richardson 2 (5)
Kucinch 1 (0)
Someone else 4 (3)
Unsure 24 (20)

The main change is Richardson losing support.
