The knowledge that Wonkish has never heard of Kafka, or, apparently, Willy Brandt, is very telling.

Why are we getting so animated over these silly labels?  Just asking.

Are you trying to give off the notion that you are actually smarter than me? Because that would be quite hilarious.

I tried to put a stop to this emotionally charged issue a while back apparently it didn't take.

I'm done with you talking 'at me' and not answering a question because your either incompetent or scared $hitless to answer anybody else's questions.

Bought a mirror lately, doll?

That's really not an excuse if you are holding forth on socialist politics in the 1960s from a position of appointed authority.

Doubt Obama has much of an economic philosophy or anything like that.

Why are we getting so animated over these silly labels?  Just asking.

Because they are being used inaccurately for the purposes of political gain.  'Socialist' has negative connotations in the States, obviously, and the only reason Wonk or anyone else would have to specially define it so as to allow Obama to be one is to deflect an honest discussion about what his policies truly entail.

Simply put, it is the height of hackery to accuse Obama of being a socialist, and this debate is so 'animated' because for the last three years people have been throwing this baseless accusation around to the point that when one of them gets called out on their BS, they are unable to handle it.

Thanks! As long as you answer and participate I'll answer your questions.

To answer your question I've read a lot of history covering a lot of different periods and areas of the world, but things like names, specific dates, and very fine details tend to fall out of memory after a while. I have read a good chunk about post WWII Europe(a subject that you have to do on your own because US history programs don't cover it), but that doesn't mean I could name off all of the prime ministers, presidents, or chancellors over that period. I'm sure you have experienced similar things.

Right now it may not seem related, but there is a point I'm getting to...
Would you define the class action lawyer industry as a private industry that seeks to redistribute capital from offender to victim?

Link you've already demonstrated your complete lack of knowledge of most things and you are practically 100% reliant on Google so I wouldn't talk if I were you.

That would be a ridiculous assertion to make. It seeks to redistribute capital to itself.

But in the case of me that is just simply not true. If it were up to me I would never call Obama a socialist to another person because it would completely detract from any chance of having a meaningful conversation about anything of substance.

But since I was asked I answered honestly!

I love how Republicans think backing up your opinion with well researched facts is considered a bad thing.  I guess that explains all the false and insane garbage that is being spewed at the Republican debates.

Nothing wrong with backing up your opinion the problem is that you knowledge at all before you do Google searches and you've admitted it!

And I care about what Bachmann says, why?
