Even in that survey, only 84% of whites approved. If the question was asked in the privacy of a voting booth, I guarantee you it would not be that high.

Yeah, this would be like Republicans saying "Maxine Waters will lose" in 2010.

Moore is still likely to win, but it's important to realize that he represents Cruzism. Trumpism (Strange) couldn't even get through the primary.

Uh no. Moore was the Trump candidate, even if he didn't have the support of Trump himself. Trumpism is still alive and well in Republican primaries.

Luther Strange did not and does not represent Trumpism.

Trump himself is a unique blend of issues (illegal immigration, anti-elitism, relatively political independence) that I don't think will be easily replicated by a local candidate or represented by "Trumpism".

Moore will probably end up winning here. No more polls since the 10+ Moore leads show there's probably not much commotion for Jones.

Alabama's primary could be a Cruz vs Jeb contest, rather than having Trump be either of the candidates.

IMO Moore wins by 8 or 9.  Jones will have the best Dem performance in Huntsville in the modern era, but it won't be enough.

Trump is the most elitist anti-working class president in history. He won't do anything to save jobs. He will also try to privatize Medicare and Social Security, which he campaigned on opposing. He will also hurt the coal mining industry by cutting a program that helps coal miners.

You have gone full Alt-Left ERM64man. I think his tax plan should be helpful to the middle class; it raises the standard deduction, eliminates loopholes, simplifies it to make it easy to fill out, and cuts corporate tax rates so money is repatriated and companies can invest in jobs. If they get taxes done by the end of the year, it'll help Trump. I don't think he'll attack Medicare and SS, and he's doing good stuff for the coal miners. Just get a socialist avatar already, you troll.

I'd be surprised if he did anything at all anymore.

Wow, allegations of Moore having relations with teenage girls decades ago when he was in his 30s are about to come out. He went to Breitbart to pre-spin.

Here's the Washington Post's story

If Trump would have known about this before the primary, Moore would have totally gotten his endorsement!

I knew something scandalous from Moore's past would surface. I hope he wins now more than ever so that it proves how deplorable the voters are.

Tortuous logic

And did anyone really think Roy Moore was not an utter scumbag?

Don't worry, you'll certainly get your wish considering it's Alabama. lol

I wonder if this might make it closer than expected though.

Alabama would rather elect a corrupt sexual predator then a generic Democrat.

Not even a generic Democrat. A civil rights attorney that fought the KKK (granted, this is probably a negative in Alabama.)

This is quite the bombshell. Let's see if Republicans are in the mood of electing a child abuser. We might see a D+1 in the senate from Alabama, of all places.

Wow!  I had given Jones no more than a 10% chance of an upset, but this could change everything.
