he might go for the Governorship though, which he has an infinitely better chance at.

Massachusetts is probably the most educated state in the nation.  I don't think they want a governor who can't spell "you're".

This is, effectively, his announcement that he's running for governor as planned. It was one or the other.

So, losing a Senate race that could have been a rare Republican Massachusetts win, and then running for Governor... hey Scotty, if you win the Gubernatorial race, can I call you Mitt Romney Jr?

The Herald claims through their sources that he's leaving politics entirely for the private sector. Dunno if that's true or not.

That private sector is probably faux news.

I'm genuinely surprised.

What's the Dem's bench for gov in Mass? Seems like a lot can happen in 2 years.

Less stout since Lt. Gov. Tim Murray and Attorney Gen. Martha Coakley declined to run.

I'd like to see Newton Mayor Setti Warren or or Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll run.

I never expected him to run in the special to be honest, not surprising.. gives him a break and his donors a break. Gov race will be much easier and he probably wins it.

he might go for the Governorship though, which he has an infinitely better chance at.
