The GOP is losing it

They've been open for a while. He's just refused to call the special elections because he knows the environment is not favorable for his party.

This is the kind of horse manure we've been dealing with for years now in local WI politics.

Why the hell are they even doing this when it's almost certain that the WI Supreme Court will overturn that decision?

This is a judge Scott Walker himself appointed who defied him. It makes sense that he thinks state state Supreme Court will do the same.

State Supreme Court will probably give him a stay and then delay their decision to the point where they'll say its unnecessary.

Also I love the fact that righties in Wisconsin are blaming this on a Dane County judge, even though Walker appointed the particular judge in question.

It's hilarious:

It's not like it needed clarification to begin with, but it's situations like this that show just how hypocritical and hollow conservative claims of 'activist judges' are. They say it's  just about following the constitution/law, but the reality is, their expectations of judges is no different than any other partisan. They have goals that don't always align with the constitution and any judge that goes against those goals they will label an activist, regardless if its true or not.

At some point, Republicans need to get it through their heads that their judicial picks are just as much 'activists' as anyone else. This hypocrisy could also be avoided very easily if they could find a way to understand that they don't need to attack judges every time they get an unfavorable ruling. Just accept the outcome with some dignity and move on.

Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina; what other states want to have the worst state legislatures in the country?

I mean, it's not like the environment will be any better for Wisconsin Republicans come November. Maybe having Walker on the ballot would help turnout, but that's still no guarantee they'll keep these seats.

I have to imagine that Jones won this with a healthy margin and that Clinton didn't do that bad.
