No, they will just endorse the democratic nominee as always, whether that's Cuomo or someone else. While they make the appearance of being a political party, at the end of the day they are nothing more than an "issue" line for the democratic party that rose out of the state's electoral fusion system. If they go away from being that by nominating their own candidate to run against the democratic nominee, they will lose all of their "support" almost instantly.

They'd have to be bold or courageous to do that, so no, probably not. They don't really have a history of challenging powerful Democrats.

Have they seriously challenged ANY democrat in recent cycles?
