You're looking... old for forty. Not bad, just old. Makes me scared of what the next eight years have in store for me. Tongue

Bernard, I am old for 40.  I'm old for 45, I think.  I think you have much less to worry about over the next eight years than I do! Smiley

AW:  anvikshiki is a phonetic spelling of the Sanskrit word अन्विक्षिकी.  It means roughly "philosophy" or "critical investigation," though its etymology can be broken down as a nominalized form of the following string of verbs: "seeking" (anvi) "to master" (kSi) "to investigate" (ci-mutated to ki).

One classical political text (Arthashastra) calls "anvikshiki" one of the four sciences, along with Vedic study, economics and politics.  The school of Hindu logic (Nyaya) identified "anvikshiki" with logical argumentation.

I'm not a master of anything, and I'm only logical on (very rare) good days, but I've always thought it was a cool word.

Found some really interesting slides at my Grandmother's house and we had them converted to DVD for preservation.

My late Grandfather (1932-2010) in Korea, circa 1952/1953:

An Italian Thanksgiving, late 1950s:

My father (bottom left, looking like me) with my Grandfather, circa 1971/1972:

Another of my father, my grandfather and my uncle, around 1971 or so:

I took that picture of my father in 1971 at age of 16, and then a picture of me from 2005 at the age of 16, and clearly the resemblance is strong. Still out of place though, given it's 30-40 years apart. (The baby boomer's having kids two generations later Tongue)

Those pictures are really well preserved.  There's something to be said about vintage photos like that that seem as if they were shot yesterday.

I'm not sure it's Kosher to post pics and real first names of people that aren't you without their consent.  Maybe edit in a fake first name?

To be fair though, I can't believe most straight men's taste in women when they like some brainless blonde bitch with big boobs and fake lips.

I prefer flat-chested ones myself, but that's just me.

This just continues to feed into the thought...
