I don't have CNN or any news channel, so I'm going to have to wing it entirely through the Internet and what you guys tell me from the news sources.  This means I won't be able to watch all the analysis.  Could I ask a couple of you to watch CNN and a couple to tune to the other two stations, please?  I'll have CNN.com on, but that's about it.

BTW, we are just a little over 80 minutes from Vermont closing.

Do you think Texas will officially be the state to give McCain the nomination (i.e. the 1191 needed delegates)?  According to CNN.com, he only needs 144 delegates to clinch it and there aren't enough in Ohio and Vermont to make that up, so it would have to be Texas, I guess.

It feels weird to have voted in the Oklahoma primary on February 5 and being down in Texas, though not voting, for their primary on March 4.

Vermont is WTA for McCain, so he gets all 17 delegates, and according to CNN.com is sitting at 1,064 delegates with only 127 needed to clinch the nomination.

Are we going to get results out of Texas now or are we going to wait until El Paso is closed?

Poor Huckabee. I still like him as a person.

So do I, he's a great, great guy and I do wish him the best as he thinks about a 2012 run.

I guess really the only thing that we can take out of the Democratic races tonight, is "Bring On Pennsylvania!!"

By the way, what are we going to do in the 6 weeks separating Mississippi (March 11) and Pennsylvania (April 22).  We might go nuts as political junkies not having new numbers coming in, but it might give the non-political junkies a nice break.

Is this number right on CNN?  Cuyahoga early voting Clinton 50-48???

If so, Ohio is over.

I never really counted Ohio as a strong Obama state.  I always had a feeling it would go for Clinton.  Texas I was unsure about all the way, and still am to some degree, though I'm having more and more confidence that it will go to Obama.

Just returned from the caucus: Obama won 2-1 or so and I waited in line for 2 hours. Quick updates anyone?

Hey, Lief, where are you at in Texas?

Austin, so the 2-1 victory wasn't very surprising, but fun nonetheless.

I'm in east-central Dallas County, although since I just moved down here last Friday officially, I wasn't able to vote Sad

Yeah, too bad, too.  I was really hoping this would put a huge dent in Clinton's hopes for the nomination and bring Obama in a safe position to focus more on John McCain.

The question is, does Hillary get a net gain of delegates.
Almost assuredly no.
