I'd love to have Priti as the next Tory leader, but for very diffrent reasons than her right-wing fans.

Ok, another thought, is no-one faintly horrified by the prospect of the UK government relying on the support of the DUP in the midst of an ongoing constitutional crisis? The potential implications of this are huge.

Here goes Farron chance to become Clegg 2.0. Btw, DUP sounds hilariously in Polish (dupa is Polish for an ass).

But yeah, I'm very concerned.

Amazing how there are two parliaments that are hung where DUP is critical, the UK parliament and the Northern Ireland assembly, but they aren't negotiating today because it's a Sunday. Quite a coalition partner for Theresa "Strong and Stable" May.

Heh, if the UK parliament had to follow Northern Irish model, May would be Prime Minister and Corbyn Deputy Prime Minister, with identical powers.

May:
Favourable: 29% (-13)
Unfavourable: 63% (+16)

Theresa May: from the new Iron Lady to RL Henry Collingridge.

I just pictured Gove as Francis Urquhart because of that. Damn, that's a scary thought.

Boris Johnson is a good mental fit for Patrick Woolton.

He's Mayor of London, rightly or wrongly voters might blame him too.

Housing is a matter for the borough councils, not the Mayor.

I hope enough people knows the difference.

The electoral calendar helps. London borough councils are up next year, Khan in 2020.

I'm ashamed to admit the local government dynamics in England is very confusing to me.

New Labour was centre-left within ideological context of the 90s.

Interestingly Ashdown was initially a longtime Labour supporter. One got to wonder whether he'd achieve a high office if he stayed with the former party.

I don't want to get into any discussion whether he'd make a good PM or not, but there sure were things I admired about the guy.

The anti-Semitism might be a (valid) excuse, but think Corbyn's euroscepticism is more to blame here for the actual break.

Which was always my main issue when it comes to Corbyn.

I must say May is both extremely lucky and extremely unlucky. Lucky in short term, because due to fixed term and confidence vote rules within her own party she can cling onto the premiership, even though most of past PMs would've resigned over less devastating defeats. Unlucky in long term, because she'll go down in history as one of the most pathetic Prime Ministers.
