Playing the original 2020 on "From Sea to Shining Sea Mode" as Trump, and managed to win a second term.

Ex-Vice Pres. Joe Biden (D-DE)/Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA): 79,502,332 (49.9%)
Pres. Donald  Trump (R-NY)/Vice Pres. Mike Pence (R-IN): 76,892,853 (48.3%)

Trump's most favorable state/district: Wyoming
Biden's most favorable state/district: DC
Closest state/district: Nevada

If this were to happen in real life, Democrats would expand there majority in the House and Senate in 2022, as well as hold on to VA Gov in 2021. There would also be tons of complaints about the EC due to Trump winning the election despite not winning the PV. Unfortuantely, TNCT does not simulate congressional district results, so idk whether or not ME or NE split their electoral votes.

Also lol at Wisconsin being closer than Michigan.

why is there a pic of trump in the background

I put that there on purpose
How do you do it lol

1. Go to the evc

2. Create your map

3. Click on "edit custom background image"

4. Go to your image (I highly recommend the image be transparent) and right-click on it

5. Click "copy link address"

6. Paste that said link into the "image URL or preset name box"

7. Adjust the opacity to how you want

8. Once you are done, click the "Change" button in the red box that appears when you make changes

Played the 2016 Scenario as Hillary Clinton and managed to barely win.

Closest state was Wisconsin, which I won by .4. If I were to lose Wisconsin I would've lost.

And once again Wisconsin is to the left of Michigan.

If this were to happen irl, 2018 would've likely been more favorable to the GOP.

Won 49 states as Bryan 2008 (all but McCain's Arizona), but ended up in Hell because I only won that big after damning the world to a massive recession.

Played again and won 329 EVs in a closer election after begging God to spare the world. Ended up still winning but getting to go back to heaven.

LOL what a crazy idea for a mod. Someone must have been stoned out of his mind when he made it. But I love it.

Admiral George Dewey (D-VT)/Fmr. Vice President Adlai Stevenson (D-IL): 262 EV, 50.9%
President William McKinley (R-OH)/Vice President Theodore Roosevelt (R-NY): 116 EV, 44.5%
Mr. Julian Carr (SR-NC)/Senator Benjamin Tillman (SR-SC): 69 EV, 4.5%

Fearful of Dewey's forceful rebuke of Carr and the south in favor of civil rights, a southerner attempted to assassinate Dewey as he visited the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, NY. Their pistol misfired, and James Parker, a black attendee of the fair, tackled the man to the ground. He would be invited by Dewey to the White House as a token of his appreciation, something decried by the South.

Results of a round as Nixon. The closest state was New Mexico, which went for Kennedy by 1,006 votes.

Trying out the 1924 mod where Warren Harding is still alive as Harding with Calvin Coolidge as Vice-President (and beginning with having Harding rest over the summer of 1923) and trying to avoid having anything to do with Teapot Dome sticking to him, only for records of bribes to be discovered as the election's October Surprise.

Despite the October Surprise, Harding managed to get re-elected by 373 electoral votes to 136 for John W. Davis and 22 for Robert LaFollete (most of Davis' states in this scenario had a stronger showing than in real life; while Harding underperformed Calvin Coolidge's real-life showing in a number of states).

The Nixon 1972 mod may be the best I've played yet. I got 400 electoral votes by running as environmentalist feminist liberal Nixon who disavowed Watergate, withdrew from Vietnam, and refused to ratf--k Muskie, then was remembered as a great two-term president along with Washington, Lincoln, and his successor Robert Redford.

The tragedy of Nixon is this really could have happened if he didn't get in his own way so much.

Wow.  I actually got a locked electoral college result as Bush in '92.

Clinton/Gore - 37,135,128 (40.2%)
Bush/Quayle - 36,167,793 votes (39.2%)
Perot/Stockdale - 18,974,407 (20.5%)

This was the after election blurb:

Quote
Sorry. You have lost the 1992 election.

Although the Electoral College was tied, the Democrats have won a solid majority in the House, and will elevate Bill Clinton to the Presidency.

If Perot won any electoral votes, you could try to strike a deal with him, maybe allowing him to become VP, but it’s unclear if he would accept such a deal.

States with margin of victory less than 1% (72 electoral votes)Sad
1.  Maine – 0.18% (1,014 votes) *over Perot*
2.  Iowa – 0.18% (2,372 votes)
3.  Idaho – 0.25% (1,027 votes)
4.  Kentucky – 0.42% (5,770 votes)
5.  Colorado – 0.48% (6,542 votes)
6.  Michigan – 0.68% (24,020 votes)
7.  Louisiana – 0.84% (13,130 votes)
8.  Montana – 0.85% (3,154 votes)
9.  Tennessee – 0.92% (15,156 votes)

States with a margin of victory between 1% and 5% (137 electoral votes):
1.  Connecticut – 1.39% (20,149 votes)
2.  New Mexico – 1.47% (7,307 votes)
3.  Pennsylvania – 1.62% (72,368 votes)
4.  Missouri – 1.82% (38,396 votes)
5.  Wisconsin – 2.24% (47,690 votes)
6.  Delaware – 2.33% (5,781 votes)
7.  Georgia – 2.77% (50,681 votes)
8.  New Jersey – 2.81% (83,519 votes)
9.  South Dakota – 2.94% (8,823 votes)
10.  Wyoming – 3.45% (6,393 votes) *over Perot*
11.  Nevada – 3.57% (12,476 votes)
12.  Utah – 3.59% (24,371 votes) *over Perot*
13.  Florida – 4.23% (189,856 votes)
14.  Arizona – 4.86% (54,311 votes)

Best Bush states:
1.  Mississippi – 50.29%
2.  Alabama – 48.29%
3.  South Carolina – 48.07%
4.  Virginia – 46.15%
5.  Nebraska – 45.97%

Best Clinton states:
1.  Washington, D.C. – 85.67%
2.  West Virginia – 50.24%
3.  Arkansas – 49.61%
4.  Hawaii – 47.11%
5.  Maryland – 46.02%

Best Perot states:
1.  Idaho - 37.16%
2.  Utah36.28%
3.  Maine34.20%
4.  Wyoming33.77%

Played the Nixon '72 mod too, I kept up the ratf***ing because it's hard not to as Tricky Dick, but I came semi-clean on Watergate and looks like I got away with it. I won nearly as big as IRL, and Nixon is remembered as a two-term President alongside Jerry Brown and Donald Rumsfeld. Meanwhile, Bush Sr is invading Cuba... Seems like there's a lot of replayability to this one.

Decided I'd give the "Peace with Honor" 1972 mod a try. As Nixon, I elected to dump Spiro Agnew in favor of John Connally but then admitted that the Watergate burglars worked for the White House while denying any knowledge and had to go through the secret bombing of Cambodia being revealed and despite peace talks being announced late Nixon ended up losing by a fairly significant amount (sweeping the South but not doing particularly well in the Midwest {barely hanging on to Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska and Virginia})

There are about 40 different possible endings and eight different Democratic candidates on that mod.

I had what may be both a brilliant and ambitious idea: A Campaign Trail mod in which various prominent Atlas posters -- OC, BRTD, John Dule, OSR, perhaps even myself -- are candidates for president or VP, and we actually can run simulations of Forum Community Elections.

I have no idea how to code it, however, and no time to learn, unfortunately. Still, it would be something to see.

Does anyone know a good alternate history mod to start with? I've tried the mod where Warren G Harding never dies and runs for 1924 and that was pretty enjoyable.

Viva Kennedy 1964-1968
The whole 1948-1956 Red series
1972 Wallace
2008 Trump
1972d

I'm sure there's a bunch more good ones I'm missing but those stand out.

Finally managed to beat Ted Kennedy after admitting to Watergate in Nixon '72 (albeit while massively losing the popular vote) - guess Daley couldn't pull out another one. The Vietnam war dragged on until 1985, and in 2005 President Jesse Ventura begins normalizing relations with Cuba. The best part is that apparently beating a Kennedy and getting off scot-free let Nixon live another 10 years or so.

Nixon/Agnew - 276 EVs - 36,854,859 - 47.7%
Kennedy/Eagleton - 262 EVs - 38,765,528 - 50.2%

Trying the 1956 mod as Adlai Stevenson. The VP spot ended up going to JFK.

How did the ticket do? Short answer: They got swept, losing every state and finishing behind Dixiecrat Thomas Andrews in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and failing to even get a single vote in Virginia.

A brand new Southern Strategy!

I really lucked out by winning LA/MS/AL/SC all by 2/10ths of a percentage point or less, but my god what a map!

OH/PA also were within 0.1%; if PA had fallen on my side it would look even better.

I played HW in the Presidents Comeback scenario and crushed Carter.

I would have given Bush WA/IA which were two states he barely lost here and given Carter GA/WV
