What state would you say has the most influence, through its senators, on Capitol Hill?

I'd say Kentucky or California.

This by a country mile. I'd go as far as to say that Schumer has more influence than Reid (who is a pretty bad majority leader) and Gillibrand has become the de facto voice of the women's agenda.

If Republicans get the majority in 2014 it'll be Kentucky.

Most Powerful would either be Schumer+Gillibrand and McConnell+Paul

Most Powerful bipartisan pair would be Rubio-Nelson and Grassley-Harkin.

Least Powerful would probably be Schatz+Hirono or Risch-Crapo

Least Powerful bipartisan pair is Coats+Donnelly or Johnson-Baldwin.

Heinrich and Gillibrand might make a cute couple.

McCain and Schumer would make an all-too-familiar gay couple.

Hatch and Feinstein would be like the couple in House of Cards

Arizona is the first to come to mind with Kyl and McCain.

Impressive considering Jon Kyl isn't in the Senate.

McCain and Schumer would make an all-too-familiar gay couple.

This just makes me think of the ambiguously gay duo from SNL.

Just three years ago, Indiana had Evan Bayh and Richard Lugar. Now they have Coats and Donnelly. Few states (Hawaii, I suppose) have fallen so sharply in Senate power in such a short span. Embarrassing.

New York seems to be the obvious choice for me.

I'd say Massachusetts is a contender for quickest loss of power as well between Kennedy's death and Kerry's resignation.

I always thought Byrd/Rockefeller was the best a the time.

Currently, I'd probably agree with KY and NY.
