Thank you, thank you my fellow patriots and thank you my fellow Americans.

As a descendent of Mexican immigrants who came here to this country in quest of opportunity, I’ve always been blessed by the values of this great republic called America, including democracy, gender equity, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, free enterprise, etc.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Serving my country is all I ever really wanted to do. It runs in my blood from my father to my uncles. My wife Brianna and I pray that one day our children will find the same passion. After graduating from South Christian High School in 1999, I followed in my father’s footsteps and enlisted in the U.S. Army. There I enjoyed service for over 12 years. However, as much as I loved being a soldier, I always knew pleasure was never its intent. During my service, I had the honor of serving under the elite Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) as a bomb disposal expert. This meant that life was always dangerous and very often deadly. And one day, while clearing a path for U.S. Army Rangers in Kandahar, I took a wrong step into an IED, which resulted in the amputation of both my legs and one of my fingers. But life gave me a second chance as I can now walk again thanks to robotic legs, but it marks the terrible conditions that many of our veterans are living. But in this race, there is one candidate who has displayed proven leadership in taking care of our veterans and improving their living conditions and this candidate is Marco Rubio.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

In the U.S. Senate, he cosponsored the AGREE Act that increased tax credits and exemptions for companies investing in R & D, equipment and other capital and gave tax credits for veterans opening a business franchise. Ten years ago, he passed the VA reform law by introducing a measure empowering the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. And he also co-sponsored the Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act that helped veterans re-entering the workforce get jobs in STEM-related fields by requiring the Office of Science and Technology Policy to coordinate programs to train and transition military veterans for jobs in science, technology, engineering and math. That is the kind of support to our veterans that we need and that’s why we need Marco Rubio to ensure decent health care, social security and job training services for our veterans.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

My fellow combat veteran John James, our next Vice-President, has, after bravely serving our country in Iraq, displayed his commitment to our veterans throughout his political career. And Marco Rubio and John James have undoubtedly the best foreign policy experience to keep America safe against our enemies and that is what they will do by keeping our borders strong, by staying on offense against terror through the provision of military training and arsenal to our West African allies against Boko Haram, by normalizing relations with Polonsky’s Russia which will officially put an end to decades of escalation and diplomatic tensions and allow peaceful collaboration for the sake of global peace and by getting us to permanent nuclear security through the ratification of the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty.

Under President Rubio and Vice-President James, our veterans will continue to have full backing from the White House and the world will experience long-term global peace, thus ensuring the preservation of freedom and prosperity.

Thank you! God bless you and God bless America!

Thank you, thank so very much.

I’m proud to be from Wisconsin, a state that contributed to the expansion of freedom in America. Because Wisconsin is the birthplace of the Republican Party. Our party was born in 1854 in Ripon, Wisconsin. Meeting at a school house in Ripon on February 28, 1854, some 30 opponents of the Kansas-Nebraska Act called for the organization of a new political party to link their cause with the Declaration of Independence. The group also took a leading role in the creation of the Republican Party in many northern states during the summer of 1854. While conservatives and many moderates were content merely to call for the restoration of the Missouri Compromise or a prohibition of slavery extension, the group insisted that no further political compromise with slavery was possible. The February 1854 meeting was the first political meeting of the group that would become the Republican Party.

We will promote and defend all the values that made America great and prosperous and got us to the prosperity and the strong security our country is now : free market, free enterprise, fiscal conservatism, tax reform, small government and energy independence. We will promote all the policies that made America safe : strong military, strong alliances, strong diplomacy and strong American leadership. By defending those values, we’re going to win and move this country forward.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

When I first got elected in 2010, Wisconsin was in a turmoil with a slow economy in which Wisconsinites crushed by big government tax-hike policies and loss of manufacturing jobs. But then, we fixed Wisconsin :  we reduced taxes on small businesses, on capital gains and on income. The state’s property taxes are now at their lowest rate ever and our schools are among the best in the nation. As a result, more people are working in Wisconsin this year than ever before and our unemployment rate has been reduced to 3 %. This progress has also been made possible thanks to the adoption of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that Marco Rubio helped pass by his effort to double the Child Tax Credit, which gave America the strongest economic growth we’ve ever known.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

And Marco Rubio has the experience and the knowledge to keep this economy growing. He chaired the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and contributed to this economic growth by fighting to pass legislation that reduced taxes on small business, the blood life of our economy, and as Vice-President, he helped President Trump to pursue that progress.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

His running mate John James ran businesses like James Group International, a global supply chain management service company ensuring the safe travel of goods and raw materials for consumers and businesses across the world. He also served as CEO of Renaissance Global Logistics. He was named one of Detroit's Business Journal's 30 in 2012 and Michigan Chronicle's 40 in 2014.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

So unlike Tammy Duckworth, who wants to roll back the tax cuts of the last 8 years and make America a harder place to do business through higher taxes and regulations, our ticket understands that the best way to grow this economy is to make America the best place in the world to do business. And that’s what they’re going to do by lowering taxes, passing a middle-class tax cut, getting us to energy independence and encouraging free trade.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Our political opponents keep claiming that our party is not a champion of energy independence. Well, look at the record of my predecessors. Wisconsin Governors Tommy Thompson and Scott McCallum, both Republicans, have launched the Focus on Energy program with  the  goal  of  increasing  Wisconsin’s  energy  independence  by  helping  residents  and  businesses  implement  efficiency  and  renewable  energy  projects. Since the program’s inception, more than 56,000 businesses and 1 million  residents  have  participated,  resulting  in  energy  savings  of  1,958,770,550  kilowatt-hours  (kWh) of electricity and 97,260,374 therms of natural gas. While Tammy Duckworth’s big government irresponsible plan would try to solve the problem by depriving hardworking families and workers of their money through higher taxes and regulations on the energy industry, Marco Rubio’s energy plan will finally get our country to energy independence by taking advantage of all of America's sources of energy, by investing a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies and by making our country number one in nuclear energy production through the construction of 40 new nuclear power plants in this country by 2050, through tax credits for renewable energy products and through an expansion of early stage cooperation with countries interested in adopting nuclear energy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

My friends, in this time of prosperity, we have a golden opportunity that we can’t afford to miss, which is to achieve full-employment and that’s why we need to elect Marco Rubio and John James at the White House to make sure our economy will keep growing and that the American Dream will never die.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.

Thank you, thank so very much.

You know, it’s been a very hard-fought campaign throughout the primary. Even though I came up short and things didn't go the way I originally planned, I know that the best way to keep America moving forward and make sure that the American Dream has no limits is to come together as a united party and that’s why I support Marco Rubio for the sake of America’s future.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Because we can’t let Tammy Duckworth move America backwards and undo the progress made in the last 8 years. And Marco Rubio is the kind of leader our country needs.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco Rubio, dedicated all his life to protect the American Dream and America's status as the land of opportunity, caring about the fate of the vulnerable as well as of hard working families. When he and his family lived paycheck to paycheck, the hard working of a bartender and a housekeeper who came to this country from Cuba, he managed to earn all the opportunities that previous generations could not have earned for themselves. That's why it has always been his purpose to fight to make sure that the next generation will be better off than the previous. Thanks to his legislation effort to double the Child Tax Credit, our country passed the largest tax cuts ever, ensuring strong economic prosperity and massive job creation and strengthening America's status as the best place in the world to do business. His sponsored 2014 VA reform law empowered the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. His co-sponsored Girls Count Act forced countries receiving U.S. aid to give birth certificated to girls at birth in order to combat human trafficking, thus freeing young girls around the world from brutality and terror.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That is what I appreciate the most about Marco Rubio, he is a fighter for everyday Americans and so is John James who fought for this country in the military and then provided jobs in Michigan through his business career and then spent his time in the Senate fighting for tax reform, fiscal discipline and VA reform.

They have the right experience to pursue America’s progress and preserve our country’s status as the land of opportunity. Like I did in Puerto Rico, they will bring the people together by making infrastructure development a top priority, by getting us to energy independence through an investment of a part of oil drilling revenues, by expanding free trade while reducing taxes on manufacturing companies to make us competitive while keeping our manufacturing jobs here, by normalizing our relations with Polonsky’s Russia to ensure long-term global peace and to provide our Western African allies in arsenal and military training in order to defeat our enemies without needing to send more ground troops.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

A vote for Marco Rubio is a vote for the preservation and expansion of America’s greatness and that’s why I invite all of you to come together and make this great leader our President to preserve America’s status as the hope of the Earth.

Thank you! God bless you and God bless the United States of America!

Thank you, thank you my fellow Americans.

You know, it should not take a natural disaster, a terrorist attack, an epidemic or a global pandemic to bring us together as a nation. It doesn’t matter whether one of the victims of such disasters is a Democrat or a Republican, because we’re all Americans. Yet there is a toxic lack of bipartisanship in Congress. Both Democrats and Republicans put their party first, their political agenda second and our country last instead and are fighting each other in Washington instead of coming together to face the concerns of the American people who are worried about their jobs, about their homes, their businesses, their health insurance and the threats from our enemies abroad.

That’s why I made it absolutely clear throughout my career, whether it is as U.S. Senator or as Governor, that my political fight would always be about West Virginia and time and again I stood by that promise. That’s why I fought to protect West Virginians’ pre-existing conditions, to protect their Second Amendment rights as I vetoed restrictions on automatic weapon sales and voted against banning high-capacity magazines of over 10 bullets. That’s why I opposed the cap-and-trade bill and supported the promotion of the development of clean coal technologies that allowed America’s prosperity and are getting America to energy independence. That’s why I worked to cross the aisle for the people of West Virginia by introducing the Miners Protection Act that established pension and health care benefits to coal mine workers. That’s why I supported Brett Kavanaugh’s SCOTUS nomination for the sake of the protection of America’s constitutional rights. That’s why as Governor of West Virginia, I cut taxes to make this state a place open for business and I advocated the elimination of the Death Tax. That’s why I co-sponsored the Paycheck Fairness Act to enforce against wage discrimination based on gender. That’s why I supported the abolition of Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran - that handed billions of dollars to a country that was the world’s largest sponsor of global terrorism – and supported President Trump on his successful efforts to denuclearize Iran and North Korea. That’s why I worked with my Democratic and Republican colleagues in the Senate to fight the Opioid Crisis and co-introduced the Providing Veterans Access to In-State Tuition Act that enabled student veterans eligibility to receive in-state tuition rates from public schools in the event they decide to use their Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

I always put America’s interests first and I always will. That’s how we make our democracy and our country better. What I did for West Virginia, Marco Rubio will do for America and that’s why I’m here at this convention to support Marco Rubio for the presidency of the United States of America because my country matters more than party.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants « America First! », « America First! »]

It has always been the purpose of Marco Rubio to put the concerns, interests and needs of America first before partisanship because to him nothing is near as important as being an American. No wonder that he passed those tough sanctions on Hezbollah and brought Democrats and Republicans together to pass his sponsored VA reform law that empowered the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. Along with Democratic Senator Bob Menendez, he co-sponsored the Let Freedom Reign Act of 2019 that provided military training and material support to the Venezuelan insurgency during the Venezuelan Civil War and helped them defeating tyranny and restoring democracy, freedom, justice, stability and integrity in Venezuela. While my Democratic colleagues suggested stricter gun control laws that would have been ineffective, Marco Rubio co-sponsored, after the 2016 shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, he introduced and passed the Terror Intelligence Improvement Act that allowed the U.S. attorney general to delay a firearms' purchase for up to three days and filed an emergency court petition if someone previously investigated for terrorism tried to buy a gun. Omar Mateen has been able to buy a gun because he was no longer under active investigation and so that bill ensured that if any gun purchaser has been suspected for terror in the last decade, the FBI would be notifying that he or she has gone in to buy a gun and would have the chance to stop that sale and to investigate what you’re up to. In order to make the Trump tax cuts even broader and make them permanent and make them work for all Americans, he led the effort to double the Child Tax Credit, which benefited to all Americans, including the middle-class, and got this economy growing. He brought Republicans and Democrats together to unanimously pass the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019 that required the Department of State to assess whether political developments in Hong Kong justify changing Hong Kong's unique treatment under US law. And when Coronavirus was soaring around the world in 2020 and was threatening to shatter the world economy, Marco Rubio – who was Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship at the time – along with ranking member Ben Cardin worked with states to approve the Economic Injury Disaster Loans for businesses affected by COVID-19, which helped those businesses to remain competitive and to earn the necessary tools to pursue their economic activities, thus helping to avoid an economic slowdown and to allow America to pursue the economic growth of the last 8 years. He knows that the best way to avoid a recession is to make America the best place in the world to do business because 7 out 10 jobs are created by small businesses.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Of course, our Democratic colleagues will be trying to paint Marco Rubio as just another go-along partisan politician. But Americans know better than this.

If Marco Rubio was just another go-along partisan politician, he would not have fought to convince Jim Inhofe to commit to authorizing the Central Everglades Planning Project in the water resources bill for the sake of the restoration of the Everglades. But he did.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

If Marco Rubio was just another go-along partisan politician, he would not have called for a ban offshore oil drilling off the Florida coast. But he did.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

If Marco Rubio was just another go-along partisan politician, he would not have been among the 22 Republican senators who broke with their party majority in their support to the approval of a $2 billion emergency funding to combat the Zika virus while Florida accounted for 20% of the recorded cases of Zika in the U.S.. But he did.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And let me tell you this, if Marco Rubio was just another go-along partisan politician, then I am Michael Moore’s favorite Democrat.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And I’m not. So, Marco Rubio has always put our country first. No wonder that the Lugar Center ranked him as the 10th most bi-partisan U.S. Senator on a total of 100. That is exactly the kind of leadership we need in our next President and that’s why Marco Rubio is the best choice to bring our country together and lead America forward.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Meanwhile, his opponent Tammy Duckworth is ranked as the 84th most bi-partisan Senator by the Lugar Center. During her seven-and-a-half years in the Senate, she has not reached across party lines to get accomplish anything significant, nor has she been willing to take on powerful interest groups in the Democratic Party to get something done. No wonder that she voted 80 % of the time with Chuck Schumer and Sherrod Brown as well as with Nancy Pelosi and Andre Carson for higher taxes, strict regulations on energy production, stricter gun control and cuts in funding for our military.

[Crowd boos]

That is a big contrast with the record of one of the last Democratic presidents, Bill Clinton, who stood up to some of those same Democratic interest groups, worked with Republicans, and got some important things done, like welfare reform, middle-class tax cuts, free trade agreements, and a balanced budget.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco Rubio has the courage to put partisanship aside in order to get things done because he knows that is the way to make things better in America. That’s why, in order to ensure the continuation of America’s progress, he will bring both parties together to reduce middle-class taxes to 15 % and to index capital gains for inflation and create a tax-preferred savings vehicle so our economy can keep growing and make small businesses even more competitive.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

He will work with both parties to get this country to energy independence and he’ll do it by taking advantage of all of America’s sources of energy (including oil, coal, gas, wind, solar, hydroelectric, geothermal, etc.), by investing a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies instead of doing it through higher taxes and regulations on energy and by making us number one in nuclear energy production and export through the building of 40 new nuclear power plants in the U.S. by 2050 and through tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for building new nuclear power plants.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

As President, Marco Rubio will get us to soaring development of our country’s infrastructures by lowering the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; giving back the control of the highways to the states; preventing Washington special interests  from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; abolishing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions annually and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

On foreign policy, he will bring both parties together to normalize our relations with Sergei Polonsky’s Russia so we can ensure long-term global peace and work together for the maintenance and expansion of peace, freedom, human rights, stability and territorial integrity in the world, including in Europe and in Middle East where we and our allies recently won Operation Ceasefire and led to the recognition of Kurdistan’s independence thanks to the provision of military training and arsenal to the Kurds. As President and Commander-in-Chief, Marco Rubio will bring both parties and our allies to accomplish our path to a nuclear free world by ratifying the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material from being used for the construction of nuclear weapons or WMDs, thus ensuring peace through strength.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

In addition of defending taxpayers’ interests and advocating VA reform, John James is a man who, when Detroit was deeply hit by the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, brought change company after company during his business career at James International Group by managing and optimizing its customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes by designing and implementing complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. As CEO, he grew the company into a major trading partner with Michigan’s auto industry and created jobs in the city he was born.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Senator James is a reformer who took on special interests, focused an important part of his political career advocating fiscal discipline and the advancement of a balanced budget amendment. This is a leader we can count on to help Marco Rubio to keep moving America forward.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That’s why I believe that the real ticket for change is the Rubio/James ticket.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And you know, our first President George Washington has warned America that the spirit of party could be the worst enemy of our democracy and enfeeble our government's ability to do its job. That is exactly the kind of nightmare we are living today in Washington and we need to overcome that nightmare. So my fellow Americans, Republicans, Democrats, independents, Reagan Democrats or Clinton Democrats, we need you to come together and vote for the person you believe is the best to unify this country and keep it moving forward. And Marco Rubio is that kind of leader and as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, as a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President he has the best experience to get our economy growing and keep America safe, he knows how to get things done and he always put America first. So, my fellow Americans, Democrats, Republicans and independents let’s come together to elect Marco Rubio as President and to pursue America’s progress, strength and greatness.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.

Thank you, thank you so very much! Thank you, my fellow Americans.

Melania, my sons and daughters and me are honored and grateful of this wonderful welcome here in Atlanta, a city symbolizing America's status as the land of opportunity where everything is possible. Atlanta became a major organizing center of the civil rights movement, with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Ralph David Abernathy, and students from Atlanta's historically black colleges and universities playing major roles in the movement's leadership. That's how our country went on to guarantee equal rights for all Americans, no matter your ethnicity, your religious belief or your origins. That is another element of America's greatness.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Eight years ago, our country was rising from the ashes after the slowest economy in history caused by big government and tax hike policies that killed jobs and businesses, after deep national divisiveness caused by police shootings on unarmed African-Americans as well as by assaults on America's constitutional rights and by strong threat represented by radical Islamic terrorism. But right now, thanks to your support, to our efforts and to the restoration of American leadership, there is no doubt about it : America is great again!

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

In the last 8 years, we created 7 and-a-half million new jobs thanks to tax cuts, free enterprise and stronger advantage over America's sources of energy, protected our constitutional rights thanks to the most pro-Constitution Supreme Court, secured our borders and defeated ISIS and made the world a much safer place thanks to a rebuilt, strong and modernized military and to strong diplomacy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

All of that progress has also been made possible thanks to the service, the compassion, the character, the experience and the leadership of a great American and the next President of the United States, Marco Rubio.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

After Mike Pence announced plans of retirement at the end of his term, I knew there was a lot of qualified Americans to pursue Mike's efforts and help me to move America forward. Chosing Marco to be my Vice-President is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Even though, we've once been rivals for the nomination 8 years ago, he accepted because he knew fully well that America's future and everything that was at stake was far more important than either of us. And for 4 years, I earned the priviledge to be guided by his intelligence, knowledge, judgement and discipline, all skills and qualifications that helped us to get America to where we are today.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

This is a man and a fighter who dedicated all his life to protect the American Dream, caring about the fate of the vulnerable as well as of hard working families.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

In 1956, his family came to Miami from Cuba, fleeing Batista's opression and in search of better economic opportunities. In the first place, they were struggling to adapt in this new society, they were living paycheck to paycheck, they not speaking English and didn't have access to higher education. But the hard work of a bartender and housekeeper allowed Marco and his siblings to earn all the opportunities that their parents couldn't have earned for themselves. Since then, throughout his career he made it his purpose to ensure that the next generation will be better off than the previous one and that's exactly what this election is all about.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco Rubio is a proven leader who, time after time after time, has been there on the ground in service of the American people. In 2013, he stood up to the big government and tax-increase policies of the previous administration by introducing the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act, which required the Small Business Administration to conduct an annual study to estimate the total cost of regulations on small businesses. Because, unlike our opponents, Marco Rubio knows that 7 out of 10 jobs in America are created by small businesses, the lifeblood of our economy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

A few years later, Marco was there in the frontline of the debate to pass the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act when he led the legislative effort to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000 as an amendment included in this tax-cut bill, which helped our country to adopt the largest tax cuts ever in American history, thus providing the strongest economic growth ever in American history through the creation of 7 and a half million jobs, a reduction of our national unemployment rate at its lowest rate since 1970, a stronger middle-class earning higher wages and the lowest African-American and Hispanic unemployment rates ever recorded because we preserved America's status as the best place in the world to do business.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Two years later, Marco Rubio chaired the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and so he lead the way fighting to pass legislation reducing taxes on small businesses, protecting their interests and increasing their ability to compete, to produce and to create good-paying jobs, thus making great contributions to the strong economic prosperity that America is now living and as Vice-President he provided such knowledge and expertise in the White House, thus helping our country to pursue such strong economic progress and to make it work for all Americans.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Like we have repeatedly saw throughout history, we can't lower our guards and we can't lead by following. But that is exactly what the previous administration did by gutting and weakening our national defense, thus depriving us of the tools needed to combat our enemies and to keep America safe, which allowed Russia to invade countries like Ukraine, allowed the old Iranian regime to earn the necessary capitals to sponsor terrorist organizations. Marco is still seared with the memory of every American he met who lost loved ones during this mass shooting at the Pulse nightblub in Orlando, which was the deadliest attack on the U.S. soil since 9/11. That is why, as a Senator from Florida, he introduced the Terror Intelligence Improvement Act and brought Republicans and Democrats together to pass it, which allowed the U.S. attorney general to delay a firearms' purchase for up to three days and filed an emergency court petition if someone previously investigated for terrorism tried to buy a gun, ensuring that if any gun purchaser has been suspected for terror in the last decade like Omar Mateen (until he was no longer under investigation, which made him able to buy a gun), the FBI would be notifying that he or she has gone in to buy a gun and would have the chance to stop that sale and to investigate what you’re up to. And that's why Marco Rubio advocates a strong national defense as well as strong American leadership and strong alliances in order to keep America safe. That's why he passed those tough sanctions on the Hezbollah to stop them from harming the American people and co-sponsored the U.S.-Jordan Defense Cooperation Act to provide assistance to our Jordanian allies in the battle against ISIS and in dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis. And because we rebuilt and modernized our military and stood up with our allies, we made strong progress, we went after terrorists, we freed all the territory that they once occupied in Syria and Iraq and we eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

As Vice-President of the United States, Marco Rubio helped our country to make remarkable progress in terms of foreign policy and national security. We defeated ISIS. Thanks to strong diplomacy, we got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and an improvement of our bilateral relations. And three years ago, Marco was there on the ground leading the diplomatic mission that got Iran to denuclearize, to stop state-sponsoring global terrorism and to normalize our relations between the United States and Arsham Parsi's Iran, thus reinforcing peace, freedom and stability in the region.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And more recently, we and our allies won Operation Ceasefire by providing the Kurds in military training and in weapons, which helped them to defeat Erdogan's Turkish troops, thus leading to successful peace talks that resulted to Istantinople's becoming an independent city-state after a territorial dispute between Greece and Turkey over the city and to the recognition of Kurdistan as an sovereign and independent nation. So we obtained victory without having to send ground troops in Turkey and without airstrikes there.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco has a clear and decent record and commitment when it comes to taking care of our veterans to improve their living conditions and grant them the best post-military service career they can imagine. That's why he sponsored the 2014 VA reform law by introducing a measure empowering the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. He co-sponsored the Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act that helped veterans re-entering the workforce get jobs in STEM-related fields by requiring the Office of Science and Technology Policy to coordinate programs to train and transition military veterans for jobs in science, technology, engineering and math. Under our administration, the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022 has been adopted after the withdrawal of our troops from Syria and Iraq in 2021, making the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco Rubio's life prepared him to make tough decisions that fall solely to a President. He knows what's at stake in the decisions related to a global crisis, the decisions concerning the working family, the small business owner, the combat veteran. Even in the midst of a crisis, he listens to people, keeps his cool and treats everybody respectfully. This is a man who never quits.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That is the kind of character and leadership that we need in a President. Marco Rubio has the experience, the knowledge and the judgment needed to lead our nation. He is ready to lead America, to expand our country's prosperity and to keep our people safe. And, believe me, there's no person more qualified than Marco Rubio to serve as President of the United States of America.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

By the way, his judgment has also been displayed by his choice to select Senator John James as his running mate. John bravely served our country, protecting America's freedom and security against terror as an Apache pilot in Iraq. He then ran businesses and created jobs by managing and optimizing its customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes by designing and implementing complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. And as a public servant, John James fought for fiscal discipline, tax reform, strong national defense and for veterans. I know that he will be a great Vice-President and he will make Marco a better President just like Marco himself and Mike Pence made me a better President. Marco Rubio and John James are the right team to move America forward.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

On the other hand, there is Tammy Duckworth, who I respect for her service in Iraq but who wants to move America backwards. Instead of focusing on America's concerns, she and her colleagues attempted to block policy after policy after policy and they twice attempted to impeach me.

[Crowd boos]

Despite the positive results and of the strong benefits of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act on the American people, including the middle-class, Senator Duckworth voted against this legislation and wants to roll back those tax cuts.

[Crowd boos]

Based on her record and agenda, Tammy Duckworth's answer to everything is to increase taxes. She is seeking to raise taxes on hard-working Americans and businesses, to increase the size of government, make our country more dependent on foreign energy through higher taxes and regulations, which will kill jobs, send jobs overseas and make America a harder place to do business.

[Crowd boos]

She wants to nominate liberal judges that will deprive the American people of their right to self-defense through restrictions on the Second Amendment and award Guantanamo detained terrorists with constitutional rights.

[Crowd boos]

Her record doesn't display the qualities of somebody who has the judgment to keep America safe. In 2014, even when ISIS was controlling 70 % of Iraq's territory, Tammy Duckworth opposed airstrikes aimed at combating ISIS.

[Crowd boos]

She supported Obama's nuclear deal with the old Iranian regime that handed billions of dollars to a country that was, at the time, the world's largest state-sponsor of terrorism and handed them the necessary capitals that could've been used to develop nuclear weapons that could have been used against us and our allies.

[Crowd boos]

And she wants is seeking to cut defense spending and slash our homeland security, which is exactly the mistake that gave us strong terrorist threat ten years ago and will make America an easier target for our enemies.

[Crowd boos]

But Marco Rubio is a man of solutions. As President, he will lower taxes so our economy can grow and so our businesses across this country can compete. He'll reduce middle class taxes from 22 % to 15 % to make our middle class even stronger, which is key to economic prosperity. He'll reduce spending to bring our deficit under control. His energy plan will make America energy independence by taking advantage of oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar and hydroelectricity. Under a Rubio Administration, a part of the revenues from oil drilling will be invested into the development of renewable energies, so we can favor both economic growth and a clean environment. Marco Rubio will make us number one in nuclear energy production and exportation through the construction of 40 new nuclear power plants in this country by 2050 in order to reach to a total number of 100 nuclear power plants on the U.S. soil by the end of the first half of this century with the ultimate goal of building 100 new nuclear power plants, which will be done through tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for building new nuclear power plants.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

On infrastructure, he will reduce the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; veto any gas-tax increase; turn back control of the highways to the states; stop special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; free states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; remove barriers to public-private partnerships; repeal the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. A part of future budget surpluses will be invested into the development of infrastructures, which will favor the implementation of new businesses in America, thus favoring further job creation and prosperity. Marco's economic agenda will keep America great.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco Rubio will keep our country safe by keeping our military strong and modernizing it. He will keep our country on offense on terror, provide our Western African allies in military training and arsenal in order and through drone airstrikes on Boko Haram key targets, including their controlled oil refineries, to defeat these terrorists. As President and Commander-in-Chief, he will, in order to accomplish our planet’s path to a peaceful and nuclear-free world, work with our allies to ratify the proposed Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material for the building of nuclear weapons. In a time of restoration of freedom, democracy and integrity in Russia through the election of a pro-American President, Marco Rubio hold a summit to normalize our relations with Moscow in the first 100 days of his presidency. He and Polonsky will work to dismantle dangerous Russian nuclear weapons that are representing a threat to global peace. They will be strong partners for the maintenance of peace and human rights around the world.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

He also has a great project to strengthen America’s status as the leader in space exploration. As President of the United States, he will make the establishment of Lunar Gateway his top priority in terms of space exploration, which will give us a springboard to a crewed mission to Mars and guarantee that the accomplishment of our objective to send astronauts to Mars by 2030 will be fulfilled and that the United States will be the first country to achieve that goal.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

So we have a lot of good reasons to be optimistic about the future and that's why on you to mobilize at the highest possible number to fight for America's future, for your future, for your children's future in order to elect as the next president of the United States Marco Rubio, a talented, skilled, experienced and great leader and to defend and expand our majorities in both houses of Congress so Marco Rubio can earn the help of a team that will reduce taxes, keep America strong through a strong national defense, reduce the budget deficit and appoint judges to preserve America's rights. Thanks to the experience, the strength, the skills, the agenda and the determination of Marco Rubio, we will get America to full-employment, permanent economic prosperity, get us to long-term global peace and national security, protect the Constitution and preserve and expand America's greatness and status as the land of opportunity and as a shining city on the hill.

Thank you. God bless you all and God bless the United States of America.

Thank you! Thank you Georgia for hosting this great convention! Thank you Florida, for the first time in the history of the Republican Party, we have a Floridian at the top of the ticket : Marco Rubio.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

As you all know, Florida has saved the nation so many times in modern history as it often decided which way a presidential election turned out and which direction this nation takes, especially in 2000 when we won that state by just 537 votes with George W. Bush, thus ensuring, notably, strong response to the terrorist threat after 9/11 and eventually took out the perpetrators of 9/11.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That's why every single vote counts, including in such a battleground state like the Sunshine state. So for Floridians and Americans who are still undecided and wondering who to vote for, I can tell you this, they have a proven fighter and champion in Marco Rubio.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco Rubio has the kind of qualification, integrity and leadership that we need in a President. And I'm proud to be supporting my fellow Floridian for the highest office in the world.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

I proudly served our country as Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy, fighting terrorism and tyranny along with my comrades in Iraq in defense of democracy, freedom, integrity and security. And our men and women in uniform have the confidence, the loyalty and the respect of President Trump and Vice-President Rubio. That’s why Marco sponsored the VA reform law that empowered the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. A few years, later, he led the effort to pass the VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act in order to protect any whistleblower denouncing any mistreatment and abuse towards our veterans. Under President Trump and Vice-President Rubio, John James, America’s next Vice-President, introduced and passed the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022, making the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans. And throughout his political career, Marco Rubio stood for a principle making sure that our soldiers’ fight for our country’s security and liberty would not be in vain and that’s why he passed these tough sanctions on Hezbollah and he helped President Trump to keep this country safe, to secure our borders, to defeat ISIS and to get the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran, which are accomplishments that have been made possible thanks to a strong and modernized military and to the restoration of American leadership by this great and talented team leading our country. As a result, our country is now safer than ever before.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

As Governor of Florida, I took strong leadership in protecting this great and beautiful state from climate change challenges by $2.5 billion executive order for water quality and Everglades restoration work. I created a chief science officer position and created an office of coastal protection and resilience.

And every time, every time Florida suffered a tragedy, whether it’s a hurricane, an epidemic a terrorist attack or a shooting, Marco Rubio was there to help.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That is why he worked hard getting Senator Jim Inhofe, former Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman, to commit to authorizing the Central Everglades Planning Project in the water resources bill. In addition, thanks to Marco's efforts, Inhofe featured the Everglades as one of the reasons why we needed to pass the water bill. And Marco also helped secure funds and resources for the for Everglades restoration so we make sure that in the years to come our children and grandchildren can have the same wonderful memories of the Everglades than we earned.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

On June 12th 2016, America suffered the deadliest terrorist attack on its national soil since 9/11 with 49 people cowardly murdered by a radical Islamic terrorist named Omar Mateen. This monster has attacked our country for the values we believed in, including democracy, freedom of the press, freedom of speech, freedom of religion and gender equity. This is also an act of violence against the LGBT community, which is profoundly outrageous. But we won't back down in the face of terror and protect America's freedom against our enemies.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Shortly after that shooting in Orlando, the Democrats, including Tammy Duckworth, in their attempt to restrict the Second Amendment, tried to politicize this tragedy which was a terrorist attack by radical Islamic terrorists which we could have already defeated at that time had Duckworth and her colleagues not advocated those devastating cuts in the military imposed by the Obama administration. But Marco Rubio brought real solutions by introducing and passing the bi-partisan Terror Intelligence Improvement Act that allowed the U.S. attorney general to delay a firearms' purchase for up to three days and filed an emergency court petition if someone previously investigated for terrorism tried to buy a gun. The reason why Omar Mateen was able to buy a gun is because he was no longer under active investigation, and so this bill made sure that if you have been suspected for terror in the last decade, the FBI would be notifying that you’ve gone in to buy a gun and would have the opportunity to stop that sale and to investigate what you’re up to. That is the right solution to keep this country safe while protecting the Second Amendment and your right to defend yourself.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

As you know, Florida is among the states mostly hit by the Opioid Crisis : this great state is ranked 13th in the nation in terms of youth affected by this epidemic. Florida medical examiners reported 5,725 opioid-related deaths in 2016, a 35 percent increase from the year before. There were 211 deaths in the Sarasota-Manatee area in 2016 in which oxycodone, hydrocodone, methadone or morphine were present in the person’s body. As a result, Florida, along with Ohio and Illinois, suffered 52.0 per 100 000 drug overdose deaths of the 64,070 overdose deaths in the US in 2016. Under my tenure as Governor, we led multi-pronged efforts to address the state’s opioid abuse crisis, including bringing back the state Office of Drug Control and establishing a statewide task force on opioid abuse. Marco Rubio is the only candidate in this race who displayed strong leadership to combat the Opioid Crisis. He successfully co-introduced the Fentanyl Sanctions Act of 2019, a bipartisan anti-opioid measure to impose sanctions against Chinese and other foreign traffickers of fentanyl. He championed provisions to the SUPPORT Act, the single largest legislative package addressing a single drug crisis in history, to help stop payments to middlemen referring patients to illicit sober homes and treatment centers; an amendment to improve the quality of care provided to newborn babies suffering from opioid withdrawal by providing states additional funding to research babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome; the Hospice Safe Drug Disposal Act to allow hospice providers to safely dispose of unused opioids so they do not end up in the wrong hands; the Sober Home Fraud Detection Act to help states, law enforcement, private insurers and patients identify potentially illicit sober homes to make sure those who need care are able to find reputable legitimate facilities; the SALTS Act that made it easier for law enforcement to prosecute those that sell and distribute synthetic drugs that are substantially similar to other illegal drugs by closing a loophole that enabled wrongdoers to avoid prosecution by simply labeling the deadly drug as “not intended for human consumption”; and the Synthetics Trafficking and Overdose Prevention (STOP) Act, legislation to interdict fentanyl, synthetic opioids, and other narcotics by requiring international shipments through the U.S. Postal Service to provide advance information on where the shipment is coming from, where it is going, and its contents, and to instruct U.S. Postal Service and Customs and Border Protection to develop technology to identify fentanyl and illicit opioids entering the United States by mail. As President, he will do even more about it by reducing demand and over-prescription, including educating Americans about the dangers of opioid misuse; cutting down on the supply of illicit drugs by cracking down on the international and domestic drug supply chains that devastate American communities; and helping those struggling with addiction through evidence-based treatment and recovery support services. And with your help, your support and your vote, he will lead this fight, because our security, the American people's health and our children's future depends on it, because our children’s future is worth fighting for.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Time and again, Marco led a distinguished and effective fight to protect Florida’s citrus workers and producers. In 2017, after Hurricane Irma roared across the peninsula, he worked with his colleagues to secure the creation of a $343 million block grant for Florida citrus as part of the 2017 hurricane disaster supplemental package. Shortly after my inauguration as Governor of Florida, he asked me to disburse citrus funding to restore confidence in Florida’s signature crop. And that’s exactly what I did by approving more than $173 million for citrus growers recovering from Hurricane Irma. Ten years ago, when South Korea had levied a 54 % tariff on orange products, which was harming Florida orange juice producers, Marco visited South Korea where he pressed officials there on this harmful tariff. Upon returning home, he helped fast-track a solution by urging South Korean Ambassador Ahn Ho-young and his colleagues to tour Florida facilities and resolve their concerns, which they did a month later. In the aftermath, this dispute between the United States and South Korea over frozen orange juice concentrate was settled and thanks to this free trade agreement, Florida natural juice sales reportedly have gone from $4 million to $40 million in three years and the sale of fresh grapefruit went from $1 million to nearly $5 million over the same period. And by keeping taxes low and by promoting free trade, Marco Rubio will increase the competitiveness of our citrus industry and of the U.S. economy in general competitive in the world economy, thus increasing international consumers' access to American citrus products.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

In Florida, we promoted tax cuts in order to encourage economic growth, free enterprise and prosperity for all. In 2017, President Trump provided the largest tax cuts in American history and this has been made possible mostly thanks to Marco Rubio’s efforts to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000 and as a result, these tax reform policies, America is now living the strong economic growth in our nation’s history with the creation of 7 million new jobs and a drop of the national unemployment rate at its lowest rate since 1969. And as a result, Florida has the 12th lowest unemployment rate among all the 50 states. Marco chaired the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and took strong leadership in protecting the interests of small businesses for the stake of a strong economy and so unlike Tammy Duckworth, who is seeking to impose job-killing taxes on the American people and on businesses, he knows that economic growth requires lower taxes, promotion of free enterprise, making America the best place in the world to do business and that is exactly what he will do as President in order to get this country to permanent economic prosperity, to full-employment and guarantee that we will preserve and reinforce America’s status as the land of opportunity so the American Dream can reach all the American people.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

There is no more qualified, prepared, experienced and tested presidential candidate in this race than Marco Rubio. That's why I call on you, my fellow Americans, including my fellow Floridians, to elect as our next President a leader who spent his entire life fighting for you, for everyday Americans, for the hardworking family, for the hard working taxpayer, for the veteran, etc. and will keep doing so as President of the United States of America for the sake of the continuation and expansion of America's prosperity, freedom and security and to make sure that America's future will be shining like the Sunshine State.

Thank you all. God bless you, God bless Florida, God bless Marco Rubio and God bless the United States of America.

-Tom Barret, Michigan Senator (introducing John James)
-John James, Michigan Senator and Republican nominee for Vice-President of the United States :

Own creation
Thank you! Thank you so very much! Thank you Atlanta for your welcome and for this amazing acceptance from all of you and thank you Tom for introducing me!

Mr. Chairman, delegates and my fellow Americans, it is with great honor, patriotism and enthusiasm about the future of our great and wonderful country that I accept your nomination for Vice-President of the United States of America.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

What a journey I have had, huh? In just six years, I've went from a nobody to one of the biggest political figures in either major party all before I'm in my mid-late 40s. I don't know about you, but I think that's quite an accomplishments for myself and an example that, yes, anything is indeed possible in this great country.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That's an important lesson that Marco Rubio learned in life as the hard work of a housekeeper and a bartender coming from Cuba and who were living paycheck to paycheck opened to their children all the doors that were closed for themselves. And that's why he made it the purpose of his political engagement to ensure that the next generation will inherit an America better off than we have known. That is the way to preserve our country's status as the land of opportunity and expand the American Dream and I accept the priviledge to help him to protect the values that make America great.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

My father, who is standing right here in the crowd, is the greatest storyteller I've ever known. He told me how the son of a slave became a sharecropper, the son of a sharecropper became a mason and the son of a mason became an entrepreneur. My parents grew up in the Jim Crow South. My dad was unable to enroll in the university across the street because he was black. So he enrolled to a school Mississippi Vocational College. After graduation, he honorably served our country in Vietnam as a Commissioned Officer in the Corps of Engineers and received a Bronze Star, an Army Commendation Medal and the equivalents of these awards, which the Vietnamese government also issued to him. Coming home in 1969, he got busy starting his own company. He had to move mountains to do so. His initial application to the Interstate Commerce Commission for operating authority was in 1971. He went through these various appeals for an entire decade, which included a trip to the U.S. Supreme Court. As a result, they received operating rights to engage interstate and foreign commerce in the United States, becoming the first African-American nationally to receive such authority. That's my father's humble way of saying that the government finally got out of the way and allowed him to be an entrepreneur.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And I am proud, just like all of you, to teach my children and all of our children across this great nation that America is the only country where you can go from slave to senator in four generations and from poverty to prosperity in one. That is what our fight is all about and that is what this country is all about and that is what this campaign is all about.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

At age 17, I enrolled into the United States Military and became an Army Ranger-qualified aviator before I served eight years in the military and did several tours during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Like many Americans, I was ready to put my life and body on the line to serve and keep terrorists and the forces of evil at bay and thankfully, I was able to return home unharmed. I was extremely humbled by my service to this great country and it makes me proud to be an American, knowing that I ensured the freedom we enjoy everyday shall continue thanks to the service of myself and many like me, some of whom sadly didn't make it back.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And throughout his career, Marco Rubio fought to make sure that the service and the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform will not be in vain, which is why he advocated a strong and modernized national defense as well as strong American leadership because he understands, like I do, that the world is a safer place when America is the strongest military power in the world and when America leads. That's how he has, as Vice-President, helped President Trump to defeat ISIS and to get the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran when he led the diplomatic mission on the ground in Iran getting Arsham Parsi’s Iran to denuclearize and to stop state-sponsoring terrorism, which is what Parsi officially officially announced in a Joint Session of Congress presided by Marco Rubio and the Speaker of the House in the aftermath of that visit.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

After my military service, I finished my education and received both a Master of Supply Chain Management and Information Systems degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan and shortly thereafter, in 2012, I joined James Group International with my father, who was the CEO at the time. Now, many of you might not know this, but the business I worked in is a global supply chain management service company, meaning that we ensure the safe travel of goods and raw materials for consumers and businesses across the world and eventually, I became it's director of operations and the President as well as CEO of Renaissance Global Logistics, leading me to be named one of Detroit's Business Journal's 30 in 2012 and Michigan Chronicle's 40 in 2014, giving me plenty of Business experience for the future.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

In 2017, I announced my intention to run for Senate in the state of Michigan and I saw many media pundits saying that I had no chance, that I was going to lose in a massive landslide and the polls showed me trailing Senator Stabenow by either high single digits or low double digits and throughout 2018, not once did the polls ever tighten. Then, on Election Night, the media was stunned as I won by 4.8% and became Michigan's first African American Senator.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Ever since, I have been a firm ally of President Trump, former Vice President Pence, and my friend Vice President Rubio, who currently sits as my running mate and the next President of the United States of America!

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

During the last six years, I've sat on the Senate Committee for Veterans Affairs and the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, where I worked hard and diligently to make sure the best laws are passed for both Veterans and Small Business Owners, having been both myself at one point. So I had the opportunity and the priviledge to appreciate Marco Rubio's leadership skills as he chaired the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Senate Committee during my time in that committee and together, Marco Rubio and I worked hard to put forward, pass and adopt bills and legislation that made America the best place in the world to do business, reduced taxes on small businesses across this country and drastically reinforced their ability to compete, to grow, to expand, to sell, to produce and to create jobs, thus strongly contributing to the strong economic growth and prosperity that America is now living through the creation of 7 and a half million new jobs and gave us the lowest unemployment rate in more than 50 years as well as the lowest Hispanic and African-American unemployment rates ever.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And as a member of the Senate Committee for Veterans Affairs, I helped Marco Rubio to pass the Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act that helped veterans re-entering the workforce get jobs in STEM-related fields by requiring the Office of Science and Technology Policy to coordinate programs to train and transition military veterans for jobs in science, technology, engineering and math. Under our administration, I co-sponsored the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022 and we passed it and adopted after the withdrawal of our troops from Syria and Iraq in 2021, making the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And as Vice-President, I will help Marco Rubio to improve the living conditions of our veterans and to provide them decent social services by eliminating the income tax on military retirement income and by investing a part of the money that our country saved through our troops withdrawal from Iraq and Syria in the development of new social security and job training programs for our veterans to make sure they will earn the best post-military service they can ever imagine.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And while the Democrats continue to attack us, I recommend we stay above it. Whereas Michelle Obama in 2008 said 'For the first time, I am proud to be an American...', I am here to say that I will always be proud to be an American! When the Democrats try to slander us, we shall ignore it, turn the other cheek, and instead remind voters of the constant mis-truths they speak on a daily basis! My friends, it is time for unity and Marco Rubio and I shall bring it!

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

We will do that by reducing middle class taxes from 22 % to 15 % indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle, which will reinforce purchasing power and consumption in America and make sure that our country's prosperity will reach all Americans.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We will do that by getting America to energy independence through taking advantage of all of America’s sources of energy (including oil, coal, gas, wind, solar, hydroelectric, geothermal, etc.), by investing a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies instead of doing it through higher taxes and regulations on energy and by making us number one in nuclear energy production and export through the building of 40 new nuclear power plants in the U.S. by 2050 and through tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for building new nuclear power plants.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We will do that through making the development of new infrastructures a top priority by cutting the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; turning back control of the highways to the states; stopping special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; repealing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. We will use a part of the money saved through the withdrawal of our troops from the Middle East (that has been made thanks to our victory over ISIS and to the reinforcement of peace in the region) and a part of future budget surpluses into the development of infrastructures, which will encourage economic activities across the country, favor the implementation of new businesses in America, thus favoring further job creation.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

On foreign policy, we will defeat Boko Haram through the provision of military training and arsenal to our Western African allies to make them fully ready to handle their countries’ security and by promoting the use of drone airstrikes on Boko Haram’s key targets, including their oil refineries to deprive them of the revenues they get from oil exploitation to fund their war effort and their plans of terrorist attacks. As a result, we won't need to send additional ground troops there and it will cost our country less as drones are significantly cheaper to purchase, fuel, and maintain than regular airplanes.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco Rubio and I will bring Republicans and Democrats together to normalize our relations with Polonsky’s Russia to provide long-term global peace, thus getting Washington and Moscow to work together for the development of decent trade ties and stand up for the expansion, preservation and respect of human rights, freedom and peace on the global stage. We will also bring unity in this country by ratifying the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material to build nuclear weapons and WMDs, which will accomplish our world's path to permanent nuclear Security and eliminate any risk of nuclear war.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

So we ask all of you, whether you are Republican, Democrat or Independent, whether you are black, white, Hispanic or Asian-American, whether you are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hinduist, Buddhist, Protestant or Mormon to stand together for opportunity, to join our cause and to elect Marco Rubio as the next President to make sure that America's greatness and promise will keep going and that our children and grandchildren will be the most prosperous, the most free and the safest generations of Americans that ever lived.

Thank you! God bless you and God bless the United States of America!

-Mary Taylor, Ohio Senator :

Own creation
Thank you! Thank you so very much!

For 60 years now, my home state of Ohio has played a major role in deciding the next President as it went to the winner of every presidential election since 1964. So I'm proud to be here at this convention to talk about what is at stake for America, including the Buckeye State.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Fourteen years ago, Ohio was experiencing a very serious turmoil caused by Governor Ted Strickland's big government and tax-hike policies that raised Ohioans' taxes by $840 million, cost Ohio 350 000 jobs during his governorship, brought Ohio's unemployment rate at 10.3 % at the point that Ohio was ranked the 48th state in the nation in terms of job creation. This is another example of the ineffectiveness of big government and that tax increases is not the answer for America.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Yet, the Democratic ticket led by Tammy Duckworth is seeking to puit forward the same failed big government job-killing and tax-increase policies adopted by Strickland that shattered the state economy.

[Crowd boos]

Tammy Duckworth simply doesn't understand the economy and what it takes to create jobs. We can't afford to repeat the mistakes of the past. But fortunately, when I became Lieutenant Governor of Ohio in 2010, John Kasich and I and then Governor Mike DeWine after us as well as President Trump and Vice-President Rubio promoted tax-cut, small government and free enterprise policies that made Ohio a stronger business-friendly environment and encouraged job creation through free enterprise and free market, which brought Ohio's unemployment rate from 10.3 % in 2010 to 4.1 % today. Thanks to those policies, we balanced Ohio's budget numerous times and Ohio's energy industry has been diversified through the promotion of oil production and the development of renewable energy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

My business experience at Deloitte also helped ensuring and providing such strong prosperity in Ohio as we understood that the right solution to our problems is to make America best business-friendly environment in the world just like John James' business experience of creating jobs as well as Marco Rubio's experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship will help our country to pursue and expand the economic growth of the last 8 years, which is what they will do by preserving America's reputation as the best country in the world to do business, by keeping taxes low, adopting a middle class tax cut, taking advantage of all of America's sources of energy to get us to energy independence and by championing free trade to make us the most competitive nation in the world economy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

When I was Lieutenant-Governor, I have learned that the city of Toledo, Ohio has been identified as the fourth-largest recruitment site for human trafficking in the US. But Marco Rubio made strong contributions in combating human trafficking by introducing and passing his Girls Count Act in the Senate, a bill that forced countries receiving U.S. aid to give birth certificated to girls at birth. And he knows what it takes to keep America safe, which is why he advocated a strong national defense and strong American leadership, a philosophy that helped our country to get to where we are today in terms of national security : ISIS is defeated and North Korea and Iran are denuclearized.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

As President, Marco Rubio will preserve and reinforce America's strength and security by staying on offense against terror through drone airstrikes on key Boko Haram targets and through the provision of military training and arsenal to our allies in West Africa. He will noramlize our relations with Polonsky's Russia for the sake of stronger peace, stability and freedom in Eastern Europe and in the Middle East and for peaceful collaboration and the development of decent trade ties between our 2 countries. And he will ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to make the world permanently safe from any eventuality of nuclear war by prohibiting the use of fissile material to develop WMDs or nuclear weapons.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

So, my fellow Americans, we need to work together to win Ohio and all across this great nation and to elect Marco Rubio as the next President of the United States to get America to long term economic prosperity and make this economy work for all Americans, to protect our constitutional rights and to get the world to long-term security and global peace through strength.

Thank you and may God bless America.

Thank you! Thank you so much!

You see, 2024 is the most important election in our lifetime because this election is about preserving America's freedom and pursuing America's promise. That's why we are here at this convention to support Marco Rubio and John James.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Marco Rubio and I have a few things in common. Sure, we both ran for the nomination in 2016, but more importantly we are both sons of Cuban immigrants who came to this country in quest of the American Dream. My father Rafael Cruz fled Batista's opression and was imprisoned and tortured in Cuba, beaten nearly to death. His siter participated in the counter-revolution against the Castro regime. He fled to Texas in 1957, not speaking English, with $100 sewn into his underwear. He washed dishes making 50 cents an hour to pay his way through the University of Texas, and to start a small business in the oil and gas industry. My father is here tonight. When he came to America, él no tenía nada, pero tenía corazón. He had nothing, but he had heart. A heart for freedom. Thank you, Dad.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

So myself and Marco Rubio know what it looks like to lose the gift of freedom and that's why we need to fight to preserve America's freedom and that's what Marco Rubio will do as President of the United States for the sake of our freedom, our Constitution, our way of life and our democracy.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

That requires making America the best place in the world to do business. Seven years ago, as we inherited the slowest economic recovery in history caused by high taxes, big government and regulations and were risking a recession, President Trump put forward the largest tax reform legislation in the history of this nation : the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. And in order to make those tax cuts even broader and permanent, Marco put forward an amendment doubling the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000 and thus we passed that legislation. As a result, the economy is booming with the lowest unemployment rate in modern history, the lowest Hispanic unemployment rate ever recorded, the lowest African-American unemployment rate ever recorded, higher wages and the creation of more than 7 million new jobs.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Despite those great results, Tammy Duckworth and her Democratic colleagues in Congress voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, wants to roll it back and raise your taxes, which will cost America, including Texas, jobs, businesses and wages.

[Crowd boos]

But on the other hand, our nominee, our next President Marco Rubio will do even more to keep this economy growing and he’ll do it by championing tax reform and even reduce the middle-class tax rate from 22 % to 15 % in addition of indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle, which will give the middle-class as well as all Americans a fair chance to prosper, to appreciate the American Dream and to succeed. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, he has the right experience to protect the interests of taxpayers and hard-working families and preserve America’s status as the best business-friendly environment in the world.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And in that process, he will be helped by John James, a man who created jobs through his hard work, ingenuity and entrepreneurship, thus ensuring that this economy will keep going thanks to such skills.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Texas is a leader in energy production : Texas is number one in the nation in terms of production of crude oil and natural gas but also in the generation of renewable wind power as well as in net electricity generation. We’re number five when it comes to solar energy production. And thanks to the approval of the construction of Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, we made strong progress in our path towards energy independence. So we understand that America’s energy independence requires taking advantage of all of America’s sources of energy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

But that is not Tammy Duckworth’s intention, and that’s why she supported, along with Nancy Pelosi, a $10 per barrel tax on oil and voted against fracking and natural gas exports, which could have put 137 000 jobs at risk and driven up gas prices by 25 cents per gallon. And she wants to make us more dependent on foreign energy through higher regulations on America's energy industry.

[Crowd boos]

But Marco Rubio has the right plan to get us to energy independence, which will be done by encouraging oil drilling and approving the construction of pipelines to facilitate oil transportation. He will also use a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies. He will also make America the world’s leader in terms of nuclear energy export and production by encouraging the building of 40 new nuclear power plants in the US by 2050 and that will be done by investing a part of the revenues from oil drilling in the development of renewable energies, including nuclear, and through tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for the building of new nuclear power plants. That way, America will become energy independent, strengthen its status as the world’s largest energy producer and improve its ecological footprint.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We now have the most conservative SCOTUS in history, thus ensuring the protection of our constitutional rights. In this presidential race, there is only one candidate who defended the Second Amendment time and again and will continue to do so and this candidate is Marco Rubio.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

All of us have been horrified as we’ve seen these school shootings. Santa Fe High Schol is about half hour from my house. I was home that morning and I jumped in a truck and headed down there. I spent the entire time at Santa Fe High School that entire day with students, teachers, first responders and parents. Governor Abbott and I were in a hospital visiting a dozen of students who were shot. And we asked them what is the answer to this. We kept our mouth shut and listened. Every one of those students said almost word for word that gun control is not the answer, they said that taking away our guns will not make us safer and will just mean that the killers and murderers have guns. And we asked them what is the solution to such disasters and the number one answer I heard from students, teachers and families at Santa Fe is more armed police officers at schools to keep our kids and our schools safer. And in my very first year in the Senate, I led the way introducing the legislation that would provide $300 million in additional funding to put metal detectors. But unfortunately, the Democrats filibustered that legislation because their only focus was trying to undermine the Second Amendment.

[Crowd boos]

They filibustered that legislation just like Tammy Duckworth and her colleagues in the Senate filibustered Brian Sandoval's SCOTUS nomination even though Justice Sandoval has no baggage and has put the people of Nevada first before partisanship. No wonder that Tammy Duckworth also opposed the SCOTUS nominations of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, no wonder that she wants to nominate Supreme Court Justices who will overturn the Second Amendment, clear the way to more abortions and award Guantanamo terrorists with constitutional rights.

[Crowd boos]

Marco Rubio will nominate Supreme Court judges who will respect the Constitution, protect your Second Amendment rights as well as the life of the unborn and state powers.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

It was in Garland, Texas, that ISIS started taking on America through their 2015 terrorist at Curtis Culwell Center where they injured 1 security officer. But thanks to the vigilance and courage of our policy officers, we stopped this terrorist attack by killing the 2 perpetrators. And despite the serious threat represented by ISIS, Tammy Duckworth voted to cut in the military and in intelligence programs, which would make America an easier target for our enemies.

[Crowd boos]

Since then, we made strong progress against terror under President Trump and Vice-President Rubio by rebuilding our military and by being on offense against radical Islamic terrorism and that’s how we defeated ISIS in the Middle East and as President, Marco Rubio will keep our military strong and modernize it, provide our allies in military training and arsenal, expand our alliances and by promoting strong American leadership and he will defeat Boko Haram, normalize our relations with Polonsky’s Russia, accomplish our path to a nuclear free world through the ratification of the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty and get us to long-term global peace and national security.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

So my friends, if we mobilize at the highest possible number, we will get the job done and elect Marco Rubio as our President and John James as our Vice-President for the sake of the preservation of America's freedom and values, to move America forward and to achieve full-employment and long-term global peace through strength.

Thank you and may God bless the United States of America.

Thank you! Thank you Atlanta! Thank you my fellow Georgians! Thank you my fellow Americans!

Moving America forward means being able to get things done. That's what we did when we put forward the Contract with America. And Marco Rubio is the one candidate in this race who knows how to get things done.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

During my time as Speaker of the House, when we controlled both houses of Congress under a Democratic President, we adopted welfare reform and balanced the budget. We reduced taxes for the middle-class and adopted free trade agreements, which are the factors of the strong economy in the 1990s.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

The Job Creation and Wage Enhancement Act encouraged job creation by cutting taxes on capital gains, reducing taxes on small business and enforcing the Regulatory Flexibility Act. The National Security Restoration Act reinforced our national securit by establishing guidelines for the voluntary integration of former Warsaw Pact nations into NATO because strong alliances are key to global peace.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That's how President Trump and Vice-President Rubio managed to keep America safe because they promoted strong alliances, strong American leadership and a strong U.S. military, leading us to victory over ISIS and to a denuclearization of Iran and North Korea.

In that process, Marco Rubio displayed his ability to get things done by leading the diplomatic visit in Iran that got Tehran to stop state-sponsoring global terror and to denuclearize, which is something President Arsi officially announced during a joint session of Congress presided by Marco Rubio. And thanks to his co-sponsored Let Freedom Reign Act, we helped the people of Venezuela to achieve its path to democracy through a provision of military trainin and arsenal to the Venezuelan insurgency against the Maduro regime.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And to help our economy grow, Marco Rubio led the effort to double the Child Tax Credit, thus helping us to pass the largest tax cuts in American history, thus providing the strong economy that America is now living through 7 million new jobs created and the lowest unemployment rate in 5 decades.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

As President, he will get things done by adopting a middle class tax cut to make this economic growth reach all Americans, by getting us to energy independence through an investment of oil drilling revenues into the development of renewable energies instead of doing it with taxpayers money, by keeping our military strong and modernizing it and by normalizing our relations with Polonsky's Russia for the sake of stronger global peace.

If we elect him at the presidency in November, we will get things done thanks to such strong leadership because bringing people together to move America forward is what is needed for a bright future for this country, to defend the American Dream as well as our freedom and our security.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Thank you! Thank you very much!

I'm honored and humbled to have served America and to have fought for the preservation of our freedom throughout all my adult life. Like it has always been throughout history, America is worth fighting for and that's why we need Marco Rubio at the White House.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

The honor and memory of our veterans is worth fighting for and that's why I led the successful lawsuit against the Department of Defense's military policy that required U.S. and U.K. servicewomen stationed in Saudi Arabia to wear the body-covering abaya when traveling off base in the country and that's why Marco Rubio introduced the 2014 VA reform law introducing a measure empowering the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

America's freedom and national security is worth fighting for and that's why I led the effort to preserve the military assets in southern Arizona such as Fort Huachuca and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base and I fought to increase information sharing by the Department of Homeland Security both within the agency and other authorities at a time ISIS multiplied attacks on the U.S. and our allies. That's why Marco Rubio advocated a strong national defense throughout his career and helped President Trump to defeat ISIS and denuclearize North Korea and Iran and to achieve peace through strength he will keep our military strong, stay on offense against terrorism at home and abroad and stand up with our allies through the provision of military training and arsenal to our West African allies to defeat Boko Haram, normalize our relations with Polonsky's Russia and ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to accomplish our path to a nuclear-free world.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

America's prosperity is worth fighting for and that's why Marco Rubio helped pass the largest tax cuts in American history through a double of the Child Tax Credit, helped create 7 million new jobs and gave us the strongest economy in modern history and that's why he fought, as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepneurship, to strengthen America's status as the best place in the world to do business. And as President, he will reduce taxes, pass a middle-class tax cut, reduce the cost of doing business in America, take advantage of all of America's sources of energy to get us energy independence and expand free trade to make us the most competitive nation in the world economy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And because America's future and our children's future is worth fighting for, we need all of you to mobilize, to go to the polls and to keep and strengthen our majorities in both houses of Congress and to elect Marco Rubio as the 46th President to achieve full-employment, expand America's prosperity, to preserve our Constitutional rights and to get us to long term global peace and national security so that America's best days are ahead and that we will preserve America's status as the hope of the Earth.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.[/i]

-Jenean Hampton, Kentucky Governor
-Carly Fiorina, CEO of Hewlett Packard and candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016
-Adam Laxalt, Nevada Governor
-Ivanka Trump, First Lady of the United States
-Matt Gaetz, U.S. Representative from Florida's 1st congressional district
-José R. Oliva, Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives
-Amanda Rubio, Marco Rubio's daughter (introducing Marco Rubio) :

Thank you! Thank you very much!

As we unanimously nominate my father Marco Rubio for President of the United States, I'm here to tell you that one of the qualities needed to lead is compassion and to care about all the people and to put the interests of the American people first before one self's interests. And these are all qualities describing Marco Rubio. He is a great father and he will be a great President.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

I remember in 2012 when my father was campaigning for Governor Romney in Florida that while visiting with classmates, I was a passenger on a golf cart involved in a collision in a private gated community and was airlifted to Miami's Children Hospital with a head injury. He learned that on the campaign trail and then immediately headed to the hospital. For my dad, my health status was by far more important than politics. This is a man who cares about all the American people.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That's why he sponsored the 2014 VA reform law introducing a measure empowering the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. That's why he introduced the Girls Count Act that forced countries receiving U.S. aid to give birth certificated to girls at birth. Because Marco Rubio spent his entire life defending the American Dream and caring about the fate of the vulnerable as well as of hard working families and he will keep doing so as President of the United States of America.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

During my mother's childhood, her mom struggled a lot and it was very difficult for her when she became a single mom since she had to figure out how to put food on the table, how to make sure they have access to electricity. During his childhood, my dad was raised paycheck to paycheck, my grand parents were not speaking English and they struggled to adapt in this new society. But thanks to the hard work of a bartender and a housekeeper, they prevailed and they made their children better off than they were, just like my dad made sure, as President, that our generation and the next generations to come are the most prosperous Americans that ever lived. He knows that free enterprise is the only economic system where this goal is possible.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

As you know, my brothers Anthony and Dominick are fans of football just like our father who coached ourfootball team during the weekends. This is something they inherited from him. As he taught us, sometimes in life we're going to win and sometimes things aren't going to go the way we like. That's why we must work together and fight for this and it will all work out.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Our father has once said that sports is among the best teachers of life's lessions. To be able to use situations in a game, win or lose, positive or negative, to take a kid aside and say what just happened wasn't only about football. We're going to face something like this in life. We need to remember the lesson we learned that day and reinforce that for us. What's important for young people like me and what we all understand is that we all have a passion for something and it's whatever we want to do with our talents and ability and we must pursue that. This is a country where anybody can do that. That is exactly the leadership my father used throughout his political career and will use as President to make sure that we as well as future generations earn all the opportunities that previous generations couldn't have. You know why? Because the reason why Marco Rubio is running is because he has a sense of passion and commitment about America. That's why me, my sister, my 2 brothers and my mom Jeanette are on the road with him and are actively campaigning for him because we love our dad too much to be on the sidelines just like he loves us as well as every single American from the buttom to the top and from the middle to the side.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

So as President, he will invest his energy to ensure that all Americans can earn the opportunity to find a good-paying job and to restore America's status as the land of opportunity. He will do it by reducing taxes for all Americans, which will make their purchasing power stronger, reinforce consumption, make busineses competitive again and encourage strong job creation. He will also do it by promoting school choice which will costing families, including these immigrant families living paycheck to paycheck, less and produce higher outcomes compared to public education. It will grant parents the power to orientate their children out of poorly-performing schools assigned by zip code and look for better education elsewhere. It will expand opportunities for low-income students—especially minorities—to attend high-quality schools that would otherwise be accessible only to higher-income families, thus increasing their chances of success and of entry into the workforce.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And in order to keep America safe and free, my dad also invested his energy to combat terrorism and he did by rebuilding our military, working with America's allies and putting terrorists on defense, which is leading us to victory against terrorism. As a result, he ensured that kids like me as well as future generations can grow up in a safe and free country and inherit a world of peace.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Our parents have always taught us the principles and values that make America a special and great nation. Because being in America is a gift. When you grow up as children of parents like Marco and Jeanette Rubio, you develop a special appreciation for how blessed we are to live in this great country called the United States of America.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Just like it's the case in football, America is a team and that's why we have to support that team. That's why we all need to work together as a team to elect my dad Marco Rubio as President and we will make sure that the progress our country made in the last 8 years that brought strong job creation and economic prosperity, kept us safe against terrorism and defended the American people's freedom will continue in the next four years and that way we will get to full-employment, total victory against our geopolitical foes, lead America and the whole world to permanent peace and freedom and guarantee that we can do all the things previous generations couldn't have done thanks to the preservation of the American Dream.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

My fellow Republicans, my fellow Americans, I am proud to introduce to you the next President of the United States of America, Marco Rubio.[/i]

-Marco Rubio, Vice-President of the United States and Republican nominee for President of the United States :

Own creation
Thank you my friends! Thank you Atlanta! Thank you my fellow Americans! And thank you Amanda for introducing me.

Mr. Chairman, delegates and fellow Americans, it is a great honor for me to accept your nomination for President of the United States of America.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And I accept it with great honor, gratitude, humility and love for our country. Every challenge can’t be met without a good fight and this nomination isn’t any different. That’s a tribute to other candidates who ran in this primary and their supporters. As much as I do, they love our country and wish to keep moving this country forward. It is for that reason that they are now supporting me and I thank them for this support because together as a united party we will pursue America’s promise and lead America to even better days.

I’m grateful to the President of the United States for leading America to where we are today : strongest economic growth ever recorded in modern history, to a world much safer than ever before from the terrorist threat and to the protection of our country’s constitutional rights.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

I’m grateful and happy to share my walk in life with the Second First Lady of the United States Jeanette Rubio, a woman of goodness, kindness and strength. I love you Jeanette.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

It was 34 years ago today that Jeanette and I started dating and I became the luckiest man on Earth when I proposed to Jeanette at the top of the Empire State Building and when she  accepted to marry me. My life got better every single day since then. I am grateful to have Jeanette as my wife and partner.

With a background similar as mine, in which her family that came here from Columbia struggled to figure out how to put food on the table and how to have access to electricity underlines her concern for those less fortunate than we are, including children born in poverty, victims of human trafficking, disabled combat veterans, etc. It shows her compassion, she is a great mother and I know she will be a great First Lady.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

I am father of 4 spirited, intelligent, adorable and lovely children and I am proud to have them on the road with me and to see them inheriting a rising shining country where they can grow up safe and become, just like all of our children and grandchildren around this country, the most prosperous generation of Americans that ever lived.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And I am proud to have found the right partner to help me move this country forward and keep it prosperous, safe and free, Senator John James of the great state of Michigan.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Just like me, John spent all his life to fight for America’s future. At the age of 17, he made the decision to serve our country. After graduating from West Point, he became a Ranger-qualified aviation officer for 8 years. He went on to serve with distinction in Operation Iraqi Freedom, defending our country's freedom, democracy, security and values against terrorism and tyranny and where he earned a Combat Action Badge (CAB) and two Air Medals while logging 753.7 flight hours in theater leading two Apache platoons.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Then he came back home and joined his family business James Group International and created jobs by managing and optimizing customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes through a design and implementation of complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. He made that company a major trading partner with Michigan’s auto industry, which is a major pillar of our economy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

He also served in the Veterans Trust Committee and in the Workforce Development Council. He found ways to serve his community as he continued his education, raised a family as the wonderful father of 3 children, and created jobs in the city where he was born. And in the Senate, he’s proven himself to be a strong advocate for taxpayers by fighting for lower taxes and he took on special interests and he will be an excellent Vice-President.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And our ticket is clearly the best team to protect and expand America’s greatness and promise.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Sixty-eight years ago, my parents came in Miami from Cuba, in the quest of better living conditions and better economic opportunities. Though they were not speaking English at that time, had no access to education and were living paycheck to paycheck, the hardworking of a bartender and a housekeeper allowed them to be successful and to make their children's lives better than theirs, to give them access to higher education and to give them all the opportunities they couldn't have earned themselves.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

But they were successful people, because, despite the fact that they weren’t well educated and had the jobs that they earned, they made enough money to buy a home in a safe and stable neighborhood, retire with dignity, leave all four of their children better off than themselves.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Es una historia fabulosa del Sueño Americano que representa un ejemplo de nuestro deber para nuestro país : reforzar nuestra prosperidad económica y garantizar que nuestro niños dos estarán la más próspera generación de estadounidenses.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

My father was grateful for the work he had, but that was not the life he wanted for his children. He wanted all the dreams he once had for himself to come true for us. He wanted all the doors that were closed for him to be open for me. My father stood behind a small portable bar in the back of a room for all those years, so that tonight I could stand before you as the Republican nominee for President of the United States.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

My political engagement is obviously a real huge record of accomplishment. As Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, I put forward a book titled 100 Innovative Ideas for Florida's Future. And 24 of these ideas became law and another 10 were partially enacted. Among the items from his 2006 book that became law were multiple-year car registrations, a requirement that high schools provide more vocational courses, and an expanded voucher-like school-choice program. And I supported the state legislature's Black Caucus' request that the legislature apologize for slavery because I know that every human being, regardless of your ethnicity, your origins or your religious beliefs, is a creation of God that our Constitution as well as all the freedoms offered by this great country protects. That’s what Martin Luther King, who was born right here in Atlanta, understood and that’s what we believe and that’s why we stand up for equal rights for everyone.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

During my time in the Senate, our veterans got a strong advocate in me. I co-sponsored the AGREE Act that expanded tax credits and exemptions for businesses investing in R & D, equipment and other capital, gave tax credits for veterans starting a business franchise. And I got passed the 2014 VA reform law that the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. During that period of time, we made strong progress in keeping America safe thanks to my effort to pass those sanctions on Hezbollah and I brought Republicans and Democrats together to pass my Girls Count Act to fight human trafficking as well as the Let Freedom Reign Act that provided military training and arms sales for the Venezuelan insurgency during the Venezuelan Civil War and helped lead the people of Venezuela to victory over Maduro’s oppression, tyranny and terror and to achieve this country’s path to democracy, freedom, justice and integrity.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

For the sake of the preservation of America’s prosperity and to help hard working Americans in their quest for good-paying jobs and higher wages, I passed the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act which required the Small Business Administration to conduct an annual study to estimate the total cost of regulations on small businesses, thus avoiding devastating regulations that would have meant a disaster for our economy through free enterprise's decline and job losses. And then, after 8 years of slow economy caused by tax-hike and big government policies from the previous administration, I was on the frontline, leading the legislative effort to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000, which helped us to pass the largest tax cuts in American history.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And thanks to the adoption of those tax cuts, along with efforts to produce our own energy and the ratification of the USMCA, we created 7 and a half million new jobs in the last 8 years, reduced our unemployment rate at the lowest ever in 50 years, brought the Hispanic and African-American unemployment rates at the lowest ever in history and our middle-class is much stronger than ever before. In addition, Latino-owned businesses now make up more than 10 percent of all businesses in the United States, providing jobs for more than 2 million American workers.  These businesses contributed nearly half a trillion dollars to our economy in 2018 alone. Latinos are also starting new businesses at three times the national average. Why? Because we made America the best place in the world to do business.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

I have helped our country to pursue such strong economic growth as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship by fighting to pass legislation protecting the interests of small businesses and reducing their fiscal burden in order to reinforce their competitiveness and their ability to innovate, to expand, to produce, to sell and to create good-paying jobs. And as Vice-President, I helped President Trump to continue such successful economic policies for the sake of America's prosperity.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

So, for Americans who have yet to decide who to vote for, who are giving me their consideration and who care about their jobs, their wages, their families and their future, you can see that my record and approach is a huge difference to the approach of my opponent, whom I respect for her service to our country.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

But despite the clearly positive results of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, and to the benefits of those policies to the middle-class and hardworking families, Tammy Duckworth voted against the TCJA.

[Crowd boos]

Time and again, she stood in the way of more competition, more jobs and higher wages. No wonder that she opposed the elimination of the death tax and of the marriage penalty tax. And despite the fact that 70 % of the jobs in America are created by small businesses, Senator Duckworth voted against the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act. And she wants to undo the progress of the last 8 years by increasing the size of government as well as taxes on hardworking Americans and businesses, make us more dependent on foreign energy through higher regulations on America’s energy industry and wants our country to sell only to 5 % of the world’s population instead of advancing America’s competitiveness in the world economy through free trade. These are all policies that will move our country backwards, that will kill jobs, ship jobs overseas and make our country a harder place to do business.

[Crowd boos]

But our approach has proven to be effective over the last 8 years. And with my experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and with John James’ business knowledge, we’re going to encourage job creation and make sure that all Americans will have good-paying jobs, decent wages and a fair chance to appreciate the American Dream. We believe in rewarding hard work and risk-takers, not punishing success like our opponents want to do.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We will keep this economy growing by encouraging fiscal discipline, free enterprise and lower taxes for all Americans. We will preserve and expand America’s status as the best business-friendly environment in the world by reducing the cost of doing business in this country. We’ll reduce middle-class taxes from 22 % to 15 % while indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle for the sake of a stronger American middle-class.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Under my presidency, we will get America to energy independence by producing more energy here at home so we can be more free from foreign energy, including those from unstable countries in throes of anti-American forces, so we can make our country safer and more prosperous. That requires taking advantage of all of our own sources of energy, including oil, gas coal, nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, tide, hydroelectric, etc. That is what we’re going to do by encouraging more oil drilling and production, by using a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies instead of doing so with taxpayers’ money, like Senator Duckworth wants to do. So the energy policy that we propose will favor both job creation and a clean environment.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We will increase the use of wind, tide, solar, and natural gas. We'll encourage the development and use of flex-fuel, hybrid and electric automobiles. As our country is now dependent on nuclear energy from Russia and China who are currently beating us in terms of nuclear energy production and exportation, our energy agenda will also make America the world’s leader in nuclear energy power exportation by building 40 new nuclear power plants in America by 2050, by approving tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for the building of new nuclear power plants to further improve the American people's access to heat, encourage more job creation and improve our ecological footprint.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We’re going to promote free trade to make America the most competitive nation in the world economy through the ratification of free trade agreements with our allies and friends in Europe, Latin America and in the Asia-Pacific region to counter-balance China's trade power and to ensure strong job creation by lowering tariffs, increasing exports and imports, reducing the cost of trading and allowing American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. And to make sure our free trade deals will be favorable for our workers, we’re going to reduce the corporate tax rate from 21 % to 15 % as well as taxes on American manufacturing businesses in order to convince manufacturing workers that America is the best place for them to do business, thus keeping American manufacturing jobs here in this country while promoting free trade at the same time.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And the reason of Mexico's advantage over us in terms of auto manufacturing was because Mexico had free trade agreements with 45 countries while the U.S. had free trade deals with only 20 countries. So if we expand free trade, we will reinforce auto manufacturing and make America number one again in auto production.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

My administration will promote investment in America’s infrastructures and ensure the development of new infrastructures by reducing the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; turning back control of the highways to the states; stopping special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; repealing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. That infrastructure plan along with the investment of a part of future budget surpluses in infrastructures will encourage economic activities all across this country favor the implementation of new businesses here in America, thus favoring further job creation, growth, opportunity and prosperity.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

A strong economy also requires a decent education system and make sure we keep America’s privilege to have the best schools in the world so we can ensure decent education for our kids and form tomorrow’s workforce. My youngest son Dominick is about to start his final high school year next month. So I want to make sure that all of our children across this country, including my children, will have access to have all the necessary tools that they need to succeed in America’s schools, help them to succeed in life and favor the creation of the jobs of tomorrow.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That will be done by promoting school choice, which will cost families, including these immigrant families living paycheck to paycheck, less and produce higher outcomes compared to public education. We’ll also breaks for individuals and companies that donate to school scholarship funds or help parents who home-school their children, which will expand elementary, secondary, and vocational education opportunities for students in addition of provide training for postsecondary students and workers seeking to gain new skills and advance their career through career and technical education, apprenticeships, certifications and other forms of workforce training. We’re going to remove barriers to qualified instructors, attract and reward good teachers.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

While my opponent wants our schools to answer to unions and entrenched bureaucrats, I want our schools to answer to the needs of parents, children and students. That’s the right way to educate our kids, help them to achieve success in life and ensure a strong workforce.

2024 Republican National Convention
Day 4, Part 6.2

Location : Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
Date : August 17 2024-August 20 2024

Own creation

Own creation
Tuesday, August 20–Together for Leadership
-Marco Rubio, Vice-President of the United States and Republican nominee for President of the United States :

Own creation

We are living in a world of challenges. And those challenges can’t be met successfully without American leadership and we have the responsibility to stand for the preservation of freedom, liberty, democracy, stability, integrity and peace on the global stage. America must lead by leading, not by following. We understood that and that’s exactly what we did in the last 8 years. Prior to that period of time, the world was facing a very dangerous situation : strong terrorist threat represented by ISIS that launched several attacks on us and our allies, Vladimir Putin invading Eastern Europe and nuclear threat and these challenges were getting worse because of deeps cuts in the military, cuts that deprived us of the tools needed to keep us safe.

Now, here we are today : because we rebuilt and modernized our military, strengthened and expanded our alliances and restored American leadership, America is now safer than ever before.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

We achieved great progress against terrorism as we liberated all the territory once occupied by ISIS in Iraq and Syria, we and our allies went after these terrorists wherever they were and we eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

And I am proud to have, as Vice-President of the United States, helped the President to lead America and our allies to victory over ISIS in the Middle East.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Under our administration’s leadership, we have, thanks to strong and effective diplomacy got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and to remarkable improvement of our relations between our country and allies with Pyongyang, which will lead to strong stability, peace and freedom in the Korean peninsula after 7 decades of conflict.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And three years ago, I was there on the ground leading the diplomatic mission that got Arsham Parsi’s Iran to denuclearize, to use their nuclear energy only for domestic purposes, to stop state-sponsored terrorism, to stand up for human rights and freedom in the world. I was there in Congress presiding a Joint Session of Congress during Parsi’s address officially announcing the measures that I just mentioned. And that’s exactly what they did in the aftermath, strengthening security, freedom and peace in the Middle East.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

After 2 decades marked by tyranny and oppression by Vladimir Putin, by escalation with Putin’s Russia in terms of military power, by Putin’s invasion of countries like Ukraine and Georgia and by rising inflation, the Russian people has chosen change last spring by electing Sergei Polonsky as their new President, thus finally restoring freedom and integrity in Russia as well as peace and stability in Eastern Europe and in the Middle East.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

This, along with Polonsky’s decision to withdraw Russian troops from Turkey, to our country’s contribution to Operation Ceasefire by providing the Kurds in military training and arsenal, helped our allies to defeat Erdogan’s Turkey in Operation Ceasefire, thus leading to peace talks with Turkey that resulted to the recognition of Kurdistan as an independent nation as well as to the restoration of Middle Eastern peace and stability.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

Meanwhile, during that period, throughout her time in Congress, Senator Duckworth has headed on the wrong side of the major national security issues that faced America. Ten years ago, even during a time ISIS was controlling 70 % of Iraq’s territory, she opposed combat operations against ISIS in Iraq.

[Crowd boos]

Then she supported Obama’s nuclear deal with the old Iranian regime, an anti-American deal that lifted sanctions and handed billions of dollars to a country that was, at the time, the world’s largest state-sponsor of global terrorism and gave them the necessary revenues to sponsor terrorist organizations and to get nuclear weapons that would have been used on us and our allies, including Israel.

[Crowd boos]

And now she wants to impose deep cuts in our military, which is exactly the same mistake that gave terrorist organizations like ISIS the opportunity to surge, will make America an easier target for our enemies.

[Crowd boos]

But we all know that the world is a safer place when America has the strongest military power and when America leads. And believe me, when I’m President, America will lead.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That’s why we’re going to keep our military strong and modernize it. That’s why we’re going to face the threat represented by Boko Haram that attacked us in San Francisco, two years ago, and cowardly assassinated Senator John Thune last winter and that will be done by providing our Western African allies in material support, intelligence partnership and military training to their troops in order to get them fully ready to handle their countries’ security and defend them against any threat, thus helping them to defeat Boko Haram. That will also be done through drone airstrikes through drone airstrikes targeting Boko Haram key targets as well as their controlled oil refineries to deprive them of revenues from their oil drilling activities to fund their war effort and their plans of terrorist attacks. That way, we will defeat our enemies without needing to send additional troops in Africa and through lower cost as drones are significantly cheaper to purchase, fuel, and maintain than regular airplanes. As a result, we will keep America safe without putting more American lives in harm's way and help us to save money to be invested in America’s future.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

In the first 100 days of my presidency, we’re going to normalize our relations with Polonsky’s Russia and we’ll be strong partners for the protection of human rights, peace and stability on the international stage. And together, we’ll work to develop decent trade relations between the United States and Russia for the sake of our prosperity and peaceful collaboration.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And to accomplish our world’s path to permanent nuclear security, I will work with our allies to ratify the proposed Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material for the building of nuclear weapons, thus eliminating any risk of nuclear war and strengthening global peace thanks to strong American leadership and diplomacy.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

That way, we will give our children and grandchildren will inherit a world in which they will earn the opportunity to experience peace, liberty and safety.

[Crowd cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

My fellow Americans, the reason why I'm running is because I believe in America, because I believe in the American Dream and because I believe in the promise of America. As my father used to tell me all the time : En este pais, ustedes van a poder lograr todas las cosas que nosotros no pudimos. “In this country, you will achieve all the things we never could.”

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

And because we did everything it takes to restore the American Dream as well as America's promise by defending the Constitution, restoring free enterprise, promoting education reform, lowering the size of government, fighting terrorism and tyranny and keeping us safe it is now possible for our children and grandchildren to do all the things previous generations never could and we will keep fighting to secure such bright future for them to make sure all the doors will be open for them.

[Crowd cheers and applauds]

So my fellow Americans, I ask for your vote because if you cast your vote for me, we will keep bringing both parties together to preserve America’s strength, to expand opportunity and to keep us safe. We will get America to full employment, to permanent security and to long-term global peace and we will finally balance the budget. If we come together and keep working together, the American Dream will never die and will be accessible for all Americans. America will keep its status as the hope of the world. So let's move forward to secure our future and fight for it and our freedom and to keep America moving forward.

Thank you. God bless you all and God bless the United States of America!

Marco Rubio's response to Tammy Duckworth in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Senator Duckworth doesn't have the judgment needed to handle America's national security challenges. First of all we are not lone actors in the talks with Pyongyang : we have Japan, South Korea, Australia and Russia on our side in that process. She talks about President Trump dealing with North Korea. I need to remind the Senator that North Korea has promised to release political prisoners and that they announced, last year, that free and open elections for the DPRK Parliament will be held on October 23rd, 2024 and that reforms will be brought to the local government and that ties between themselves and South Korea will be developped as North Korea is opening its economy to the rest of the world. That's enormous progress. So democracy is about to be restored in there and human rights will be fully respected in the Korean peninsula. All of that has been made possible thanks to strong diplomacy, sanctions and strong American leadership that got North Korea to denuclearize. We all know that the summits between Ronald Reagan and Mikhael Gorbatchev and the ratification of the INF Treaty by them in 1987 gave the advantage to the U.S. in the Cold War through the shutdown of Soviet land-based ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and missile launchers, which eventually led the Soviet Union to political and economic reform as well as the reunification of West Germany and East Germany into one and unified Germany. That's why American leadership is needed and that's exactly what I will promote as President of the United States.

On Iran, Senator Duckworth supported a nuclear deal with the old Iranian regime, a deal that handed billions and billions of dollars to a country that was the world's largest state-sponsor of global terrorism, including when they allowed the Taliban to open an office in Zahedan, Iran and when the Quds Force, a special forces unit of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, attempted to orchestrate a terrorist attack against the Israeli embassy and the U.S. embassy in Azerbaijan, were running a terrorist cell in Bahrain that was planning to carry out a series of dangerous bombings on the kingdome before it was dismantled in 2016 by the Bahraini security forces and unsuccessfully attempted a bomb plot against the National Council of Resistance of Iran (an opposition group which styled itself as Iran's government-in-exile at the time) at a rally in Paris, France in 2018 after which France froze the old Iranian regime's financial assets. Despite those actions by this regime against our national security interests, Senator Duckworth supported that deal, putting our national security in danger and displaying her recklessness and lack of judgment. Look, even John Kerry, the Secretary of State who was a major architect of that anti-American deal, has aknowledged that some of the revenues from the lifting of the sanctions on the old Iranian regime would fall in the hands of the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps) or of other entities, some of which are labeled terrorists. So it is false, naive and dangerous to say that such deal had accountability. Meanwhile, our administration toughened sanctions on Iran, thus depriving them of the capitals they would otherwise have used to sponsor terrorist organizations and reinforce their war effort and to build nuclear weapons that could have hit the United States and their allies. And I'm the one candidate in this campaign who has displayed proven leadership when it comes to handling such kind of threat by helping our country to get the world to the denuclearization of Iran. After Arsham Parsi's election to the presidency of Iran in 2021, I was there on the ground leading the diplomatic mission that got Parsi’s Iran to denuclearize, to use their nuclear energy only for domestic purposes, to stop state-sponsored terrorism, to stand up for human rights and freedom in the world. I was there in Congress presiding a Joint Session of Congress along with the Speaker of the House during Parsi’s address officially announcing the measures that I just mentioned. And that’s exactly what they did in the aftermath, strengthening security, freedom and peace in the Middle East. So the fact of the matter is when Tammy Duckworth was attacking our successful policies, I was there on the ground leading.

When it comes to working with allies, Senator Duckworth has missed the opportunity to welcome the restoration of freedom in Russia through the election of Sergei Polonsky at the presidency of Russia earlier this year. Instead, she disregarded Polonsky. Last winter, when Polonsky was gaining ground in the 2024 Russian presidential election based on an isolationist agenda at a time of frustration by the Russian people towards Vladimir Putin at the point of restoring integrity and freedom in Russia as well as peace and stability in Eastern Europe, Senator Duckworth and her colleagues called Polonsky a puppet of Donald Trump even without any evidence of any interference by Washington in that election and attempted to impeach President Trump. That is offensive, that's not how we win friends and allies and you're never going to have better relations with Moscow with that kind of attitude. So Senator Duckworth was more motivated by partisan politics than America's national security and the Putin regime's use of power against us that ended through the ascension of a pro-American Russian President at the Kremlin. But when I'm President, I will hold a summit in the first 100 days of my presidency to normalize our relations with Polonsky's Russia and we're going to stand up for the respect, maintenance and expansion of freedom, justice, human rights, stability and peace on the world stage, develop decent trade relations between and ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to accomplish our path to a nuclear-free world through a prohibition of the use of fissile material for the building of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction.

I have the best and the right foreign policy experience to keep America safe and to work with our allies. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, as Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and as Vice-President, I've been tested time and again throughout my political life. No wonder that I passed those tough sanctions on Hezbollah, passed the U.S.-Jordan Defense Cooperation Act to provide assistance to our Jordanian allies in the fight against ISIS and in dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis, passed the Let Freedom Reign Act of 2019 that helped Venezuela to free itself from Maduro's opression through the provision of training and arsenal to the Venezuelan insurgents, helped getting Iran to denuclearize and stop state-sponsored terrorism through my 2021 visit in Tehran and helped President Trump to defeat ISIS. I know what it takes to keep America safe and as Commander-in-Chief I will do so by staying on offense against radical Islamic terrorism, by normalizing our relations with Russia, pursuing the effective efforts that are eliminating any risk of nuclear war, keeping our alliances strong and expanding them and promoting strong American leadership, which are keys to long-term global peace and national security and to the maintenance and expansion of freedom.

New Hampshire's prosperity is strong. Now, New Hampshire's unemployment rate is at 2.6 % has the 4th lowest unemployment rate in the nation. Such economic progress has been allowed thanks to the fact that New Hampshire has no general sales tax, nor income tax; to Manchester's status as the second tax-friendly city in the nation with the second lowest overall tax burden and as the 13th best place in America to do business ; to New Hampshire's status as the 6th best business tax climate in the nation. This progress has also been made possible thanks to the tax-cut and free enterprise policies adopted by Governor Sununu as well as by our administration in the last 8 years that helped create 7 million jobs and put our economy in the right direction. That progress would not have been possible if Tammy Duckworth had it her way through her big government tax-hike, regulation-hike and job-killing policies that will bring our country backwards. But we have a plan to do even more, we will reduce taxes for all Americans, pass a middle-class tax cut to strengthen our middle-class and lower income Americans, preserve and reinforce America's status as the best place in the world to do business, take advantage of all of America's sources of energy to get this country to energy independence, make infrastructure development a top priority, promote free trade to make us the most competitive nation in the world economy and promote school choice to make sure that all our children will earn a fair chance to have access to decent education and to encourage the creation of the jobs of tomorrow. With my leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and with John James' business expertise and proven accomplishment of creating jobs thanks to entrepreneurship and competitiveness, you can count on us to protect your jobs, to protect and increase your wages, to pursue economic growth and job creation for all Americans, to get our country to full employment and to balance the budget. So the choice of this election is either we move backwards through higher taxes on hardworking Americans, families and businesses, higher regulations on America's energy industry which will make us more dependent on foreign energy or we keep moving our country forward through tax reform, free enterprise, exploitation of our own sources of energy here at home, competition in the world economy and infrastructure development to provide good-paying jobs for all Americans and to preserve and expand our country's status as the land of opportunity. That way, our economy as well as hardworking Americans will be as hard to crack as the Granite State.

Own creation
For months now, China gave asylum to Vladimir Putin and advocated to his return to power in Russia as many Chinese citizens earned social credit for such backing and for trying to hack the system in Russia. In response to it, an unnamed group struck back against the Chinese system by inserting a number randomizer into the database of social credit scores, resulting that Xi Jinping has ordered a temporary shutdown to the social credit system.

If I'm elected President of the United States, our country will continue to stand up to tyranny and that's why I will, as President, work with President Polonsky to form a US-Russia Cybersecurity Unit to counter China's cyber-attacks in order to ensure the preservation and maintenance of freedom and democracy in Russia and to protect international infrastructures, including our infrastructures against China's cyber warfare. That way we're going to derail any attempt by China to restore Putin's tyranny and opression or any kind of dictatorship regime over Russia. That way, we will stand up for the preservation and protection of freedom, liberty, justice, integrity and democracy around the world.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Today, on Labor Day, we celebrate the American Dream, our country's status as the land of opportunity and the hardworking of all of the people of America.

Eight years ago, our economy was experiencing its slowest pace in history due to increased taxes and big government and the stock market was starting to stagnate and our GDP annual growth rate was stuck under 2 % in the few months preceding President Trump's coming to office. We lost 300 000 manufacturing jobs, including 37 000 right here in Ohio and 45 000 in Pennsylvania. Under the previous administration, the Hispanic unemployment rate has hit one of its highest rates in history and the youth unemployment rate their highest in our nation history. We had a lot of work to do and we started that work by providing the largest tax cuts America has ever known and I helped passing it by putting forward legislation doubling the Child Tax Credit, thus ensuring strong economic growth that made America the best place in the world to do business, reduced taxes for all Americans, helped create 7 and a half million new jobs, brought our national unemployment rate at its lowest rate since the early 1970s and brought the Hispanic and African-American unemployment rates at their lowest ever recorded. In addition, thanks to those pro-growth policies, our manufacturing industry is thriving as we added 500 000 jobs in that industry in the last 8 years and our middle-class is stronger than ever before as the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy reports that a family of four with annual income of $73,000 (median family income) saw a tax cut of more than $2,058, a 58 percent reduction in federal taxes. A single parent with one child earning $41 000 a year saw a tax cut of $1,304, a 73 percent reduction in federal taxes. Nine out of ten taxpayers with annual income between $64,000 and $108,000 earned an average federal tax cut of $1400 in 2018. These are not my words, these are the words of the left of center Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy. Similarly, 90 % of taxpayers winning between $40,000 and $64,000 got an average federal tax cut of $810, while 87 percent of taxpayers with annual income between $108,000 and $232,000 saw an average federal tax cut of $2,710. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act doubled the standard deduction for an individual from $6,000 to $12,000 and for a family from $12,000 to $24,000. 105 million Americans took the standard deduction in 2015 according to the IRS statistics of income (SOI) database. We also allowed such economic growth by starting to take advantage of our own sources of energy and by the successful renegotiation of NAFTA.

There is still work to do to achieve prosperity for all Americans and thanks to my experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and my running mate's business knowledge, we're going to get there. We will achieve prosperity by keeping taxes low so you can keep more of your hard-earned money, by reducing middle-class taxes from 22 % to 15 % while indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle for the sake of a stronger American middle-class, which is key to a strong economy. We're going to get America to energy independence by taking advantage of our oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, tide, hydroelectric energies, invest a part of oil drilling revenues into the development of renewable energies instead of doing so by taking away taxpayers' money as our opponents are suggesting. We'll promote free trade with our allies to make our country the most competitive nation in the world economy and to make certain that American businesses will be able to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. We need to provide strong infrastructure development by investing into it as well as by reducing the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; turning back control of the highways to the states; stopping special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; repealing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. That way, thanks to new infrastructures, we will facilitate economic activities and encourage the implementation of new businesses here in America as well as further job creation. That's how we're going to keep moving our country forward and make sure that all Americans will have good-paying jobs, get America to full-employment and to provide long-term economic prosperity and to expand the American Dream and America's status as the land of opportunity.

Thank you! God bless you, God bless you all and God bless America!

Many times in the past, Ohio has determined America's future as it went to the winner of every presidential election since the 1960s and 2024 certainly won't be an exception. And America's future will also depend on the balance of power in Congress. That's why I'm here to campaign for Anthony Gonzalez.

Just like me, Anthony is a son and grandson of Cuban immigrants. In 1960, his grandparents fled Cuba under threat of execution from the Castro regime. Along with their children, they came to Ohio in search of a better life inspired by a belief in our democratic principles and the ability to create their own American story. His maternal grandfather was a World War II veteran who fought for our country against tyranny and terror. Los valores de gobierno limitado, mercados libres e igualdad de derechos para todos los estadounidenses inspiraron su viaje a nuestro país, y continúan permitiendo que cada generación sucesiva de estadounidenses cree la nación más próspera más libre de la historia humana. Just like me, he knows what it looks like to lose the gift of freedom.

His father founded a steel company named Ferragon Corporation, a processing facility on the west side of Cleveland. Growing up in the business and working summers alongside my family, it was there that he first gained a true appreciation for the dignity of a hard day’s work, the value of a good paying job, and the importance of being able to put food on the table. He learned those values from his family and the incredible men and women who helped build that once small plant into the thriving business that it is today. He knows what it looks like to start a business and he knows what it takes to get this economy growing and create jobs and preserve America's freedom. The same can't be said about Sherrod Brown. He voted against the Small Business Tax Fairness Act of 2000 that reduced taxes on small business and increased the minimum wage while we all know that most of the jobs created come from small businesses. He voted over 35 times in favor of raising taxes on Social Security, on small businesses and on hard working families, including middle class families. He voted for Medicare taxes on seniors citizens. In 2012, Senator Brown voted against the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act that cut regulatory burdens on small and medium-sized businesses making it easier for them to raise capital and create jobs. And despite the positive effects of the TCJA that helped provide the strong economic growth and job creation in the last 8 years, Brown voted against it. Even after 9/11, the deadliest attack that was orchestrated against our country, Sherrod Brown opposed establishing the Department of Homeland Security, a measure that reinforced our national security and prevented further terrorist attacks against us until the previous administration's failed foreign policy that weakened our security measures, cut in the military and increasingly withdrew us from the fight against radical Islamic terrorism, gave us ISIS who attacked us in our national soil in Garland, San Bernardino, Philadelphia and Orlando. While we all knew that the old Iranian regime was using the revenues from the lifting of the sanctions to develop nuclear weapons and to sponsor, fund and arm terrorist groups around the world, he voted against describing the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist group even though the Quds Force, a special forces unit of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, attempted an attack on our embassy in Azerbaidjan.

In the House of Representatives, Anthony Gonzalez has time and again protected the interests of Ohians as he fought to lower their taxes and their constitutional rights. He co-sponsored the Middle Class Health Benefits Tax Repeal and the Never Forget the Heroes: Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act. As your Senator, he will keep fighting for you by advocating lower taxes and free enterprise to provide growth, jobs and prosperity, by protecting of your constitutional rights and by promoting strong national defense to keep America safe against our enemies. That's why we need all of you to come out on Election Day at the highest possible number both on the senatorial and presidential levels to make sure we will win the White House and also reinforce our majority in Congress to help me to put forward policies that will get us to long-term prosperity through tax reform, free enterprise and energy independence, to long-term global peace through a strong military and alliances and to the protection of our constitutional rights through the nomination of conservative judges at the Supreme Court.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

On this day, we commemorate a tragic day that will never be forgotten and that held us together as a nation as well as the courage and the sacrifice of those who stood up to terrorists and prevented further attacks us. Twenty-three years ago, we've been attacked by Al Qaeda for cherishing the values we believe in, including democracy, gender equity, justice, freedom of religion, freedom of the press and freedom of speech. They killed 3000 Americans by hitting the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. And Flight 93 was also hijacked by Al Qaeda and the terrorists were planning to hit the White House or the U.S. Capitol. But Flight 93's passengers sacrificed their lives in order to stop another terrorist attack from being committed by revolting against the terrorists controlling the plane and by making this plane crash in in Stonycreek Township, Pennsylvania, in the very state our nation was born in a time of war against tyranny in which our Founding Fathers signed, almost 250 years ago, the Declaration of Independence, which gave birth to a free country called the United States of America. This act of heroism by Flight 93's passengers saved many lives as well as the American democracy.

After that tragedy, we were united together against a common challenge no matter our political differences and we stood together against terror. After 9/11, we striked back by declaring war on terrorism, by strengthening our security measures, by reinforcing our military and our partnerships with our allies and by intervening militarily in Afghanistan, thus toppling the tyrannical Taliban regime and destroying Al Qaida's bases. Then, our brave soldiers killed Osama Bin Laden, the responsible of 9/11 attacks. And in the last 8 years, we made strong progress in keeping America safe as we rebuilt our military and modernized it, giving us the necessary tools to counter the threat represented by ISIS that attacked us in Garland, San Bernardino and Orlando. In the last 8 years, we have thanks to a strong military and strong alliances and the courage of our troops defeated ISIS in the Middle East and eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. And thanks to strong diplomacy, we got Arsham Parsi's Iran to denuclearize and to stop Iran's past state-sponsored terrorism, thus depriving terrorist organizations of supply and war effort. Our final victory against radical Islamic terrorism is imminent and that requires keeping our military strong, by standing up with our allies and expanding our alliances and providing our allies in West Africa in weapons and military training to ensure their full readiness to handle their countries' own security and defeat Boko Haram. That way, we will guarantee that America will not suffer another 9/11, we will keep America safe, protect our democracy, freedom and Constitution and make sure that our children and grandchildren will inherit a world in which they will earn the opportunity to experience peace, liberty and safety.

Thank you! God bless you and God bless the United States of America!

Marco Rubio's response to Duckworth's attacks in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Senator Duckworth is starting to get desperate as I'm now leading her by double digits and decided to pursue her phony attacks in order to mischarecterize my record and mislead American voters. She once again displayed her misunderstanding of the economy. She doesn't have a plan, basically it's an echo. She doesn't know what it looks like to start a business. No wonder that she hasn't created a single job in her entire life except her own job. But as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I contributed to the thriving economy of the last eight years by passing legislation that reduced taxes on small businesses, reinforced their competitiveness and their ability to produce and to create jobs. But Senator Duckworth opposed all those policies. Even though 7 out of 10 jobs in America come from small businesses, she voted against the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act. My running mate John James ran a supply-chain business and created jobs through ingenuity, competitiveness, hard-working and entrepreneurship. So we both know what it takes to grow this economy and ensure decent wages and good-paying jobs for all America, we're running on the right ideas that got this economy to the strong prosperity that we're living today and that's why we are the right to handle the economic challenges facing this country.

Senator Duckworth is challenging the credibility and the numbers of the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy, a non-partisan center, because she wants to be able to say that the middle-class and lower income Americans got crushed by the economic policies adopted in the last 8 years. You can't succeed in this effort if you're not willing to recognize the progress made in helping the middle-class to rise from the ashes. This institute says that thanks to the adoption of the TCJA and to the repeal of the death tax and the marriage penalty tax, the middle-class is thriving as a family of four with annual income of $73,000 (median family income) saw a tax cut of more than $2,058, a 58 percent reduction in federal taxes. The TCJA doubled the child tax credit from $1,000 to $2,000 per child, benefiting 22 million families that took the Credit. The TCJA raised the threshold of the Alternative Minimum Tax so fewer taxpayers are forced to comply with the provision. More than 4,464,430 families and individuals paid the Alternative Minimum Tax in 2015. When it comes to married small business owners with income of $100 000 per year, with $60,000 from wages, $25,000 in compensation from their non-corporate business, and $15,000 of business income, they enjoyed a tax relief of more than $2,600. Their tax bill has been reduced from what they would pay next year, around $10,982.50, to paying around $8,379 instead—a reduction of $2,603.50. This represents a reduction in their tax bill of nearly 24 percent. So it also helps small businesses across this country and their ability to create jobs. So you can realize that the middle-class is benefiting from the TCJA and yet Senator Duckworth voted against it. She is just out of step with the middle-class. But we're going to do more in order to get this economy growing by strengthening America's status as the best place to do business and by reducing middle-class taxes by 7 % while indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle because a strong economy requires a strong American middle-class and that's why I have the best knowledge, experience and agenda to get this economy growing.

And I've never changed my mind on deficits, unlike my opponent I've always championned fiscal discipline. Senator Duckworth wants you to believe that we have deficit and debt because of tax cuts. She just got it wrong. The right solution to reduce the deficit is to encourage economic growth and job creation and thus that requires lowering taxes, which is someting Senator Duckworth opposes, because there's nothing better for getting us to a balanced budget than having more people working, earning more money, paying more taxes. So my friends, the reason we have deficit and debt is not because we cut taxes in order to spur the economy. The reason we have deficit and debt is because Congress keeps spending and that’s why we need to stop out-of-control spending, to pass a balanced budget amendment, veto bridge-to-nowhere projects, veto earmarks and encourage fiscal discipline and responsibility in order to reduce government spending and balance the budget. That’s exactly what I’m going to do as President of the United States in order to bring spending under control, to bring our deficit and our debt under control and reduce them and get us to a balanced budget.

On health care, Senator Duckworth wants to reimpose the same regulations that were costing the American people their health care coverage and took away their purchasing power to bailout big pharmaceutical companies. Meanwhile, I have a plan to ensure health care coverage for our people which is to protect the pre-existing conditions and allowing small employers to offer flexible coverage options using Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) which typically cost less for employers than group plans and as a result, the addition of HRAs to the health care ecosystem could result in 11 million workers seeking coverage from them. This plan will help millions of hardworking Americans have greater access to affordable health care coverage that best meets their needs. Over the last decade, because of Obamacare, employment at businesses with fewer than 50 employees has fallen 25 percent. The of HRAs will make sure that millions of Americans will once again be able to use employer-funded HRAs to pay for health insurance and out-of-pocket expenses. And that will be done through helping 800,000 small companies in the U.S. build their workforce by offering affordable health care options. Our plan will also allow people to buy health insurance across state lines, make  the insurance marketplaces and subsidies to help people afford coverage and more competitive and provide tax credits to help people buy insurance among state lines while at the same time providing funding to fix Medicare and Medicaid with no cuts. While Senator Duckworth trusts the government, I trust the doctors to handle the American people's health care.

I find that strange that Senator Duckworth attacks me on free trade because she supported the USMCA Implementation Act. And she was for fast-track before she was against TPP. I guess that she decided to run on anti-free trade agenda because Jeff Merkley started to gain on her during the Democratic primaries based on a populist record. So if there is anyone trying to have it both ways on trade, you can see that this person is Senator Duckworth not me. In her opposition to free trade and in her belief that we can achieve prosperity by selling to just 5 % of the world economy, is in favor of higher tarrifs, which will hurt the economy, kill opportunities for businesses to expand and to create jobs through stronger competition in the world economy. She opposed TPP, which would give China greater authority to dictate the terms of international trade. But my plan, on the other hand, will lower tarrifs and champion free trade with our allies in Europe, Latin America and in Asia-Pacific in order to make America the most competitive nation in the world economy and so it will reduce tarrifs, increase exports and imports, reduce the cost of trading, allow American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. That is the way to achieve and expand prosperity.

On energy, I have the right plan to get us to energy independence that will actually be effective unlike my opponent's plan that will sacrifice American taxpayers' hard-earned money, their purchasing power and jobs by using it into the development of renewable enrgies. But we will do so through a part of oil drilling revenues, which will allow us to develop renewable energies, including wind, solar, nuclear, tide, geothermal and hydroelectric energies, which will ensure both job creation and a clean environment. Instead of taking advantage of all of our sources of energy, my opponent would rather keep handing money to terrorist organizations through our energy dependence and our energy imports from unstable countries in the throes of anti-American forces, including dictators and terrorists who would use those revenues to fund plans of attacks on America and our allies. So my plan will deprive those anti-American forces of war effort by making us free from foreign energy and that requires taking advantage of all of our sources of energy, including oil, gas, coal, nuclear, solar, wind, tide, hydroelectric, geothermal energies. And when it comes to Senator Duckworth's attacks on me for promoting oil drilling, they just prove her hypocrisy because Senator Duckworth received more than $30,587 of campaign contributions from the oil and gas industry (if we include all the amounts of campaign contributions she has ever got from that industry in all the cycles she ran for political office from 2006 to 2024) and she supported Dan Brouillette's nomination as Secretary of Energy even though Brouillette is a proponent of oil drilling and production and coal. That kind of record is the proof that she is the one who is inconsistent on issues and that she changes her positions depending on political pressures just like she flip-flopped on airstrikes on ISIS in Iraq as in June 2014 she voted against prohibiting combat operations in Iraq and then shortly there after the same day, during an interview with ABC News, she declared her opposition to airstrikes against ISIS even at a time those jihadists were controlling 70 % of Iraq's territory and were using it as a base to launch attacks on us and our allies like they did in San Bernardino, Garland, Orlando, Paris and Brussels. She also changed her opposition on supporting the Benghazi Committee as in March 2015, she touted her place on the Benghazi Committee and promised to hold Hillary Clinton accountable for her misuse of her email account as she used a private email server instead of a public one during her time as Secretary of State and deleted 33 000 emails in order to hide the truth from Americans, thus putting our national security in danger. Then in September 2015, Duckworth changed her mind by criticizing the committee even though Secretary Clinton has consistently lied to the American people about her email server just like she lied about Benghazi telling the Benghazi victims' family that a video was responsible while she knew this was a terrorist attack. You've got to be firm and consistent when you're the President, there's a lot of pressures. But « consistent » is not a word describing Tammy Duckworth. Meanwhile, I've been consistent on my principles as I have always advocated a strong national defense and strong alliances to keep America safe and to defeat our ennemies, I have always fought for fiscal discipline through small government, lower taxes and promotion of free enterprise and I have always advocated energy independence through America's advantage of all of its energy sources.

On gun rights, Senator Duckworth has no solutions. Her only answer to everything is to undermine the Second Amendment and deprive the American people of their right to self-defense. Meanwhile, after the shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, a radical Islamic terrorist attack which Senator Duckworth and her party tried to politicize and that we could have prevented had our opponents not supported those devastating cuts in the military, I was there on the ground on the solution mode. I sponsored the Terror Intelligence Improvement Act that allowed the U.S. attorney general to delay a firearms' purchase for up to three days and filed an emergency court petition if someone previously investigated for terrorism tried to buy a gun. And another example of the fact that gun control is not the right solution is that after the shooting at Santa Fe High School, every of the students who were shut said, word for word, that gun control is not the answer and they've been asked what was the right solution to prevent gun violence in schools and their answer was to have more armed police officers at schools to keep our kids and our schools safer and metal detectors and that's exactly what we're going to do under my presidency. That's the right kind of leadership and plan to prevent such gun violence while preserving your constitutional rights.

Now, Senator Duckworth talks about being supported by special interests, she is one to talk because in effect she is supported by special interests. She pretends wanting to take on Wall Street but she is a tool of Wall Street as the non-partisan Center for Responsive Politics indicated that Duckworth received $162 372 from Wall Street to fund her senate campaign and that she also received more money from the securities and investment industry than all but 22 other House members in the 2016 cycle, more than all but 5 other House Democrats and more than any Democratic House member from Illinois. And she is supported by Super PACs that got more than $2.4 million of funding from George Soros, the 19th wealthiest person in the world. Meanwhile, I took on Wall Street by cosponsoring the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011 which sought a full audit of the Federal Reserve. And for years, Wall Street has been getting rich helping Chinese companies raise money on U.S. stock exchanges, without those firms being required to meet basic U.S. standards for transparency. Millions of Americans have unknowingly invested hundreds of billions of dollars in Chinese companies whose audits have never been verified by U.S. regulators because the Chinese government did not permit its companies to submit to basic scrutiny and oversight in the United States. Hundreds of Chinese companies are listed on U.S. stock exchanges through a variety of creative investment mechanisms. Their financial audits, according to Chinese law, couldn't ever be checked. Even worse, when a Chinese firm is revealed to be involved in fraudulent activity, as happened all the time, U.S. investors had zero recourse in China. As a result, Chinese companies were bilking U.S. investors and U.S. markets were carrying huge and incalculable added risk. Something had to be done about it and that’s why I worked to introduce a bill that would give any foreign firm three years to make their audits available to U.S. regulators or face increased disclosure requirements if they don’t comply, which would delist them from U.S. exchanges. Because my political engagement's purpose, as I displayed time and again, is to fight for the American people not George Soros and special interests that are supporting Senator Duckworth.

When it comes to foreign policy and judgment, my opponent is once again trying to obscure and justify her flawed judgment, recklessness and record of heading on the wrong side of every national security issue. Actually, Senator, I've been able to admit when Donald Trump was wrong and that 's why I have taken him on when he said things that are wrong on policy and I've condemned them. When he said things that are agressive, vulgar, inappropriate and offensive, I've condemned them. When he questioned John McCain's war hero status, I called him out on it. And in 2018, when he called for a US-Russia Cybersecurity Unit with Putin, I called him out on it but now that Russia is governed by a pro-American and pro-democracy President such kind of policy is possible. Meanwhile, Senator Duckworth is the one who is unable to admit when she was wrong as she supported for President a Secretary of State who deleted 33 000 emails, used a private email server and let 4 brave Americans die in Benghazi and lied about the purpose of their deaths. At a time ISIS was conquering a large territory in the Middle East, she opposed airstrikes, suggesting that we should wait until the next attack to display any kind of strong leadership and forcefully defending America but I would argue that we have already been attacked and we need to do whatever it takes to keep this country safe and our troops and our allies can't defeat the enemy by being armed with spitballs. Senator Duckworth supported a deal that handed billions of dollars to a country that was the world's largest state-sponsor of terrorism at the time. And even without any proof of interference by Washington in the recent Russian election, Senator Duckworth called Sergei Polonsky a puppet of Donald Trump and in her party's obsession to bring down the President and the progress made in the last 8 years instead of focusing on protecting our national security interests she voted to impeach him. She claimed that the last 8 years were marked by a lack of leadership abroad. If that was true, we would not have defeated ISIS in the Middle East, we would not have eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, something Obama has failed to do, we would not have got North Korea and Iran denuclearizing and transitioning towards democracy (as Iran is now governed by a Arsham Parsi a pro-American President and as Pyongyang announced last year that free and open elections for the DPRK Parliament will be held on October 23rd, 2024 and that reforms will be brought to the local government), we would not have got Venezuela achieving its democratization thanks to the provision of material and training to the Venezuelan insurgency in the Venezuelan Civil War and we would not have won Operation Ceasefire without a single American casualty (as we haven't sent troops in Turkey) and led to the recognition of Kurdistan as an independent nation through sanctions on Turkey and the provision of military training and arsenal to the Kurds. But that is exactly what happened in the last 8 years. Why? Because we restored strong American leadership, because we rebuilt and modernized our military (which Senator Duckworth voted time and again to weaken) and because we displayed strong diplomacy, which are all policies that made America much safer than ever before. The fact of the matter is that the next President must be ready to be Commander-in-Chief on Day One. If you're seeking such qualities in a presidential candidate then I am clearly your candidate. I served as a member of the Senate Committee, I chaired the Senate Intelligence Committee and as Vice-President, I helped President Trump to defeat ISIS and to denuclearize North Korea and Iran (where I led the 2021 diplomatic mission that officially got Iran to denuclearize and to stop state-sponsoring terrorism). So I know what it takes to keep this country safe and we will do so by keeping our military strong and staying on offense against terror by providing our Western African allies in military training and arsenal in order to ensure their full readiness in handling their countries' own security and by destroying key Boko Haram targets, including their infrastructure and their controlled oil refineries, which will help us to defeat Boko Haram without needing to send additional ground troops there. We're going to normalize our relations with Polonsky's Russia and work together for the respect, maintenance and expansion of human rights, freedom and democracy on the global stage and to protect international infrastructures against China's cyber warfare we will establish a US-Russia cybersecurity unit. To eliminate any risk of nuclear war and to get us to a nuclear-free world, I will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material for the building of nuclear weapons. That's the way to guarantee long-term global peace and national security and that requires strength and leadership. That's why we have the right view to keep America free and safe. So if you want a candidate who dedicated all his life fighting for the American people, for everyday Americans, for the hardworking family, for the hard working taxpayer, for the veteran, to protect your interests and who will fight every single day for growth and opportunity through free enterprise, fight to protect your constitutional rights and to keep this country safe through strong American leadership then I am your candidate and I ask for your vote.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to rebuke Tammy Duckworth's phony and false attacks on Marco Rubio and to portray Duckworth as a flip-flopper and inconsistent on the issues facing America, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an attack ad featuring a weather vane turning and flipping depending on the wind's direction to emphasize on Duckworth's record of changing positions depending on political pressure.

Title : Weather Vane

Airing : Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska's 2nd congressional district, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin

Tammy Duckworth : Americans deserve to know where their President stands and to know that she won't change her mind based solely on who is in office, and that's what I can promise you I'll do as your President.

Narrator : Really? Well let's take a look at Tammy Duckworth's record that actually displays a tale of 2 Duckworths.

Own creation
Today is the beginning of the National Hispanic Heritage Month, a month where we celebrate the Hispanic community’s contributions to America’s exceptionalism and prosperity as well as the strength of the common values that unite and enrich our nation. I'm very proud to have represented in the U.S. Senate a state that has a very large Hispanic population.

Thanks to the tax cut and free enterprise policies that we passed in the last 8 years, not only did we create 7 and a half million new jobs and brought our unemployment rate at its lowest rate ever but we also brought the Hispanic unemployment rate at its lowest rate ever (2.9 %) in the history of this great, wonderful and diverse country.

An important part of these people came from places like Cuba or Venezuela, where they were deprived of human rights by a two-bit dictator depriving them of their opportunities to move forward.

Gracias. Que Dios bendiga los Estados Unidos de America.

Recently this month, my youngest son Dominick started his final high school year, which is a very important step in life as it leads to high school graduation. So I want to make sure that all of our children across this country, including my children, will have access to have all the necessary tools that they need to succeed in America’s schools, help them to succeed in life, which will further strengthen our country's economic growth through an even stronger workforce.

That will be done by promoting school choice, which will cost families, including these immigrant families living paycheck to paycheck, less and produce higher outcomes compared to public education. We’ll also allow tax breaks for individuals and companies that donate to school scholarship funds or help parents who home-school their children, which will expand elementary, secondary, and vocational education opportunities for students in addition of providing training for postsecondary students and workers seeking to gain new skills and advance their career through career and technical education, apprenticeships, certifications and other forms of workforce training. We’re going to remove barriers to qualified instructors, attract and reward good teachers.

That way, we're going to make it certain that our children will have all the tools and the skills that they need to succeed in the best schools in the world and give them a fair chance to succeed in life by opening to them all the doors that were closed to previous generations, which will favor the creation of the jobs of tommorrow.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Rubio takes on the occasion to call on the people of Florida's 13th congressional district to mobilize at the highest possible number in order to elect Frank Hibbard as their U.S. Representative in November so he will keep fighting to advance their interests and their needs and protect their freedom, prosperity and security in the House of Representatives through the promotion of tax reform, free enterprise, school choice, constitutional rights and strong national defense so he can help Marco Rubio to keep moving this country forward as President of the United States.

Marco Rubio's response to Tammy Duckworth in Minneapolis, Minnesota

First of all, what Senator Duckworth got her claims wrong. This is not 2016 anymore (referring to Duckworth's comments on size of hands). So let's be serious, Senator. This campaign is not about the past but about America's future, about how to get this economy growing, about how to keep America safe and from the very beginning I stayed focused on these issues. And for having chaired the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship as well as the Senate Intelligence Committee and as a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President I have the right experience and leadership skills to lead this country and pursue America's progress.

Now what I mean about Senator Duckworth not having created a single job or having started a business is that there is only one presidential candidate in this race who has chaired the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and this presidential candidate is me, so unlike Senator Duckworth I know what it takes to get small businesses rolling and to help creating jobs. But Senator Duckworth, on the other hand, stood in the way of stronger competitiveness for small businesses even though they create 7 out of 10 jobs in America, no wonder that she voted against the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act and voted in favor of the death tax that was sucking farmers, ranchers and small businesses into it. And during my leadership as Chairman I helped our country to pursue the economic growth that we're now living by passing legislation that reduced taxes on small businesses, which reinforced their competitiveness, their productivity and their ability to create jobs, which is we created 7 and a half million new jobs in the last 8 years. Meanwhile Senator Duckworth stood in the way of more jobs and higher wages by voting against every single tax reform and free enterprise policy that we adopted in the last 8 years. While Senator Duckworth kept attacking our policies, I was there on the ground leading the way to make our country the best business-friendly environment in the world to encourage job creation. So the fact of the matter is that unlike Senator Duckworth I know what it takes to help create jobs and grow this economy which is to reduce taxes, make America the best place in the world to do business, get us to energy independence and make our country the most competitive nation in the world economy, which are all policies that Senator Duckworth opposes as she believes we can achieve prosperity by raising taxes on hard-working Americans and families and businesses, making America a harder place to do business, making us more dependent on foreign energy and trading with only 5 % of the world market.

And I'm proud to have selected Senator John James as my running mate, a veteran who has also proudly served our country and a man who has ran a supply-chain business (the James Group International) that created jobs thanks to ingenuity, entrepreneurship and hard work. So our ticket has the right skills, knowledge, experience and agenda to keep this economy growing which is to lower taxes, pass a middle-class tax relief, taking advantage of all our sources of energy, expanding free trade for the sake of America's competition and making infrastructure development a top priority. That's exactly what we will do thanks to our proven leadership and that's why we ask you, my fellow Americans, to join my campaign for the sake of America's future because the choice of this election is whether we move backwards through punishment of success and hardworking through higher taxes and regulations that will kill jobs and ship businesses overseas, deeper dependence on foreign energy or we keep moving this country forward through proven leadership that will get our country to full-employment and long term economic prosperity through tax reform, free enterprise, energy independence, free trade and fiscal discipline. And that's why I ask for your vote. Thank you, God bless you and God bless America!

Recently, Istantinople has seen an increase in violence since its formation, with nationalists and religious extremists from both Greece and Turkey committing terrorist acts as they attempt to bring the new nation into their respective folds, leading the United Nations sending a force of peacekeepers to the city, backed by a Russian fleet sent to aid. Thanks to these efforts, we have a chance to prevent any escalation of violence. And to prevent any genocide in Istantinople, we need to end impunity through judicial action in national and international courts and also gather information and set up an early-warning system. We also need going to work with our allies to ratify an international treaty recognizing ethnic cleansing as a specific crime because we the United States of America are unapologetic and determined defenders of the freedom of all peoples on Earth, including Muslims and non-Greek people and we are defenders of freedom of religion, which is a major element of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. That's what we're going to do under my presidency to make sure there won't be any ethnic cleansing and prevent any further escalation of violence in Istantinople so we can preserve this new Republic's independence, stability and freedom.

My friends, this senate race in Arizona may be the one race that will decide Senate control and which direction this country takes. Keeping this economy growing, preserving America's freedom and constitutional rights and keeping this wonderful country safe are the issues that are at stake in this election.

Here in Arizona, I'm running against Tom O'Halleran, a man who received and accepted a total of $8100 between October 2016 and January 2017 from Backpage, a child sex trafficking scheme encouraging human trafficking, even after Backpage's CEO Carl Ferrer has been arrested. Meanwhile, our presidential nominee has fought human trafficking by introducing and passing his Girls Count Act that forces any country in the world that receives American aid to give birth certificates to little girls when they are born, which saved thousands of girls around the world from exploitation, brutality and slavery, thus reinforcing our security.

And despite the fact that Obama's nuclear deal with Iran handed billions of dollars to a country that was the world's largest supporter of global terrorism at the time, including through the old Iranian regime's move to allow the Taliban to open an office in Zahedan, Iran, the Quds Force's attempt to attack the U.S. embassy in Azerbaijan and theit unsuccessful bomb plot against the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Paris in 2018, Tom O'Halleran and Tammy Duckworth supported this anti-American deal, thus putting our national security in danger. But fortunately, this administration restored sanctions on Tehran, thus depriving them of the revenues that they would otherwise have used to fund terrorist organizations' war effort and to build nuclear weapons that would have been able to reach the United States and our allies. Then in 2021, after Iran elected a pro-American and pro-democracy President like Arsham Parsi, Marco Rubio was there on the ground leading the diplomatic mission in Tehran that has officially, after constructive and peaceful diplomatic talks, got Iran to denuclearize and to stop state-sponsoring terrorism, thus also leading to a normalization of our relations with Iran as well as to strong economic, geopolitical and defense collaboration between our 2 countries and to a reinforcement of peace, stability, freedom and security in the Middle East and put the state of Israel out of danger of being wiped out from the face of the Earth through nuclear weapons as it would have occured under the old Iranian regime. So you can also count on Vice-President Rubio's foreign policy expertise to keep America safe as he passed those sanctions on Hezbollah, the U.S.-Jordan Defense Cooperation Act to provide assistance to our Jordanian allies in the battle against ISIS and in dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis and the Let Freedom Reign Act and helped President Trump to defeat ISIS and to denuclearize North Korea and Iran. As President, Marco will lead us to victory against Boko Haram through the provision of military training and arsenal to our Western African allies to ensure they will be able to take full responsibility of their own security, normalize our relations with Polonsky's Russia for the sake of democracy, freedom, human rights and and long-term global peace and ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to eliminate any risk of nuclear war and to get us to permanent nuclear security. And as a military veteran, who proudly served our country as Colonel in the U.S. Air Force during Operation Southern Watch, Operation Allied Force and Operation Enduring Freedom I will help President Rubio to keep this country safe, strong and free through the promotion of peace through strength if I'm re-elected to the Senate.

And thanks to the tax-cut and free enterprise policies provided both by this administration as well as by Governors Jan Brewer and Doug Ducey, Arizona's economy is booming : more than 500 000 new jobs have been created in Arizona in the last 10 years, Arizona is ranking 4th in the nation in terms of GDP growth (3.57 %) and even outpaced California, Florida and Texas on that level, the Grand Canyon State is ranked 3rd in the U.S. for economic momentum and Arizona's median household incomes have reached a record high of $61,125. And despite those positive results, both Tom O'Halleran and Tammy Duckworth as well as her running mate Ruben Gallego want to raise your taxes, which will cost your wages, your jobs and the opportunties that this country gives you. No wonder that they both voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. But if I'm re-elected to the Senate I will fight each and every day for jobs, growth and opportunity and thanks to Marco Rubio's leadership of leading the legislative effort to double the Child Tax Credit in order to help the TCJA to pass (which helped create 7 and a half million jobs in the last 8 years and brought our unemployment rate at a 50-year low), his experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship that passed legislation that lowered taxes on small businesses and increased their ability to grow, to expand, to compete, to produce and to create jobs, and his efforts to help this President to pursue this strong economic growth, we will get America, including Arizona, to full employment and long-term prosperity by promoting free enterprise, tax reform, fiscal discipline, a balanced budget, energy independence and free trade.

Arizona has the 6th highest gas prices in the nation, which is $13.69/thousand cu ft (while other toss-up states like Florida have the 2nd highest gas prices, New Hampshire the 5th, Georgia the 9th, etc.). Yet, Tom O'Halleran and Tammy Duckworth want to make us more dependent on foreign energy by imposing higher taxes and regulations on America's energy industry, which will only make the problem even worse and embolden our enemies by handing them revenues from our energy dependence and our energy imports from countries in throes of terrorism or tyranny. But Marco Rubio's energy plan will finally, finally, get America to energy independence by encouraging oil drilling, building 40 new nuclear power plants by 2050 in order to reach to a total number of 100 nuclear power plants on the U.S. soil through encouraging tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and through an expansion early stage cooperation with countries interested in adopting nuclear energy to make us number one in nuclear energy production and exportation. He will use a part of oil drilling revenues into the development of renewable energies, including wind, solar, nuclear, hydroelectricy, geothermal and tidal energies. We'll encourage the development and use of flex-fuel, hybrid and electric automobiles. This is an ambitious and responsible plan that will create millions of new jobs and make sure that we will, at the same time, improve our ecological footprint and provide a clean environment.

This is an agenda that will also reinforce Arizona's status as a leader in energy production as Arizona is ranked as the third best state in the nation for solar energy production (since the state added 416.6 megawatts of new capacity statewide in 2017, making it the 7th fastest growing solar market in the U.S. for a total of 3,399.5 megawatts). It will also deprive anti-American forces of revenues from our dependence from foreign energy through our imports of energy from countries either opressed by anti-American regimes or in throes of terrorism, revenues that would have otherwise financed their plans of terrorist attacks on us and our allies. So this plan will also keep this country safe against anyone seeking to harm our people.

My friends, the stakes of this election are too high for you to stay home on Election Day because this election is about America's future and that's why we need all of you to go to the polls to keep our Senate majority and to elect Marco Rubio as our President so we can move this country forward and get America to long-term prosperity and full employment through free enterprise, tax reform, middle-class tax relief, energy independence, free trade and infrastructure development, to the protection of your constitutional rights, to decent access to health care and education for all and to get us to long-term global peace and national security through a strong national defense, strong diplomacy, strong alliances and strong American leadership. That way, America's best days will be ahead of us and our children and grandchildren will inherit a rising shining America and we need your support to make it happen.

Thank you! God bless you! God bless Arizona and God bless the United States of America!

Iowa is a great example of tax reform and free enterprise as the right solutions to our economic challenges.

CNBC's list of "Top States for Business in 2010" has ranked Iowa as the sixth best state in the nation. Scored in 10 individual categories, Iowa was ranked 1st when it comes to the cost of doing business, 12th when it comes to business friendliness, 16th in education, 17th in both the cost of living and the quality of life, 20th in workforce, 29th in technology and innovation and 32nd in transportation. While Forbes Magazine ranked Des Moines among the top 10 of the best places in America to do business, it ranked this city at the first place in 2010 and 2013, which means that Des Moines was described as the best place to do business in the United States. This is mostly due to strong educational attainment (with 36 % of Des Moines' population who has a college degree and 92 % of this city's population who possesses a high school diploma) and also because energy costs here are 22 % below the national average, the cost of living in Des Moines is 10 % below the national average and business costs here are 18 % below the national average. Economic growth here outpaced the U.S. as a whole by 68 % since 2010. Here is an example of this matter of fact : Des Moines is a major center for the insurance industry and has a sizable financial services and publishing business base. And Des Moines is the headquarters for the Principal Financial Group, Meredith Corp., Ruan Transportation, EMC Insurance, Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, MidAmerican Energy Company and Firestone Agricultural Tire Company.

So Des Moines is a remarkable symbol of the fact that America's prosperity comes from free enterprise and free market as well as ingenuity, hard-work and entrepreneurship of the American people, not come from tax-hike and big government policies. But unfortunately, that is exactly the kind of agenda that Tammy Duckworth adopts as she voted time and time again against reducing taxes and in favor of increasing them. She wants to roll back the tax-cut policies of the last 8 years and increase taxes on hard-working Americans, families and businesses and make America a harder place to do business, which will kill jobs, ship jobs and U.S. companies overseas in addition of seeking to make us more dependent on foreign energy through higher regulations and taxes on America's energy industry instead of taking advantage of all of our sources of energy here at home and she wants us to trade only with 5 % of the world economy (which is the percentage the U.S. are representating in the world market).

But as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I know what it takes to encourage job creation as we did in the last 8 years through the tax cut and free enterprise policies adopted by President Trump that created 7 and a half million new jobs and brought our unemployment rate at a 50-year low. And through his business expertise, John James, my running mate, knows fully well that America's success and expanding opportunity requires promoting free enterprise and tax reform. Under a Rubio Administration, we will keep taxes low, reduce middle-class taxes, preserve and strengthen America's status as the land of opportunity. We will fully utilize our energy resources so we can get America to energy independence by taking advantage of all of our sources of energy and investing a part of oil drilling revenues into the development of renewable energies so we can promote both job creation and an improvement of our ecological footprint. And we'll expand free trade to make our country the most competitive nation in the world economy as goods and services crossing borders will favor new ideas and models and allow our producers to learn about the market through the failure and success of traded products. While learning more, they will be able to innovate to remain competitive. And in the process, we will also allow American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. That way, we will get America to long-term economic prosperity and full-employment and preserve America's greatness, promise and status as the land of oppportunity.

Thank you. God bless Iowa and God bless the United States of America.

He reiterates that as President he will put forward adoption laws in order to promote adoption as an alternative to abortion as it would allow couples who don't want a baby or are not ready to have a baby not to have one without killing him. That way, this baby will have the privilege to live and to be loved. That's how every child, born and unborn, will be protected in law and welcomed into life.

Michigan needs a fighter who will stand up for the interests of Michiganders and all the American people and stand up to big corrupt special interests. But unfortunately, Gary Peters has sided time and again with special interests. Peters is a hypocrite : he talks about getting tough on Wall Street but Wall Street isn't worried about him. Peters spent 20 years as a Wall Street insider himself and he took more than $2 million of campaign donations from Wall Street bankers and the financial industry in addition of helping to make too big to fail Wall Street firms even bigger. His record doesn't reflect with the interests of American automakers. At the time he ran the Michigan Lottery, Peters allowed outsourcing a state contract to China. And he supported a half billion dollar taxpayer funded loan to a company that built cars overseas then went bankrupt, before being sold to Chinese owners. With American automakers struggling, Gary Peters outsourced our money on bad loans to foreign car manufacturers. Using our taxes to hurt our auto industry isn’t putting Michigan first, that is not putting America first. But you have a fighter in John James. He ran businesses that created jobs right here in America by managing and optimizing customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes through a design and implementation of complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. He made that company a major trading partner with Michigan’s auto industry, thus contributing to a thriving American auto industry. And in the Senate, he spent each and every day to keep taxes low for the sake of a strong economy, of a strong purchasing power for the American people and the preservation of our America's status as a place open for business in addition of providing strong support to our veterans. That's why we need all of you to mobilize on Election Day so we will keep our majority in Congress and keep Michigan red so we will put America first and pursue America's economic growth through lower taxes and keep this country safe.

Pennsylvania is among the states mostly hit by the Opioid Crisis. In fact Pennsylvania has the 11th highest rate of youth affected by the opioid epidemic and the state suffered 37.9 per 100,000 of the 64,070 overdose deaths in 2016.

During my time the Senate I have successfully co-sponsored the Fentanyl Sanctions Act of 2019, a bipartisan anti-opioid measure to impose sanctions against Chinese and other foreign traffickers of fentanyl. And in 2018, I championned provisions to the SUPPORT Act, the single largest legislative package addressing a single drug crisis in history, to help stop payments to middlemen referring patients to illicit sober homes and treatment centers; an amendment to improve the quality of care provided to newborn babies suffering from opioid withdrawal by providing states additional funding to research babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome; the Hospice Safe Drug Disposal Act to allow hospice providers to safely dispose of unused opioids so they do not end up in the wrong hands; the Sober Home Fraud Detection Act to help states, law enforcement, private insurers and patients identify potentially illicit sober homes to make sure those who need care are able to find reputable legitimate facilities; the SALTS Act that made it easier for law enforcement to prosecute those that sell and distribute synthetic drugs that are substantially similar to other illegal drugs by closing a loophole that enabled wrongdoers to avoid prosecution by simply labeling the deadly drug as “not intended for human consumption”; and the Synthetics Trafficking and Overdose Prevention (STOP) Act, legislation to interdict fentanyl, synthetic opioids, and other narcotics by requiring international shipments though the U.S. Postal Service to provide advance information on where the shipment is coming from, where it is going, and its contents, and to instruct U.S. Postal Service and Customs and Border Protection to develop technology to identify fentanyl and illicit opioids entering the United States by mail.

And here's my plan on that issue : #1 Reducing demand and over-prescription, including educating Americans about the dangers of opioid misuse. #2 Cutting down on the supply of illicit drugs by cracking down on the international and domestic drug supply chains that devastate American communities. And #3 Helping those struggling with addiction through evidence-based treatment and recovery support services.

That's why I ask you to join us in this fight, because our security, the American people's health and our children's future depends on it because our children's future is worth fighting for.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to appeal among voters who selected the economy as the most important issue, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an ad emphasizing on the economic growth of the last 8 years thanks to the tax cut and free enterprise policies adopted by the Trump Administration as well as on the Republican ticket's qualifications to keep this economy growing and pursue job creation.

Title : Forward

Airing : Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska's 2nd congressional district, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin

Forward ad narration :

Source(s) : Own creation; Own creation
Narrator : Eight years ago, our economy was experiencing its slowest pace in history due to increased taxes and big government imposed by the Obama Administration and supported by Tammy Duckworth. The stock market was starting to stagnate and our GDP annual growth rate was stuck under 2 % in the few months preceding President Trump's coming to office. We lost 300 000 manufacturing jobs, including 37 000 in Ohio, 18 000 in Wisconsin and 45 000 in Pennsylvania. Under the previous administration, the Hispanic unemployment rate has hit one of its highest rates in history and the youth unemployment rate its highest level in our nation’s history.

But here we are, 8 years later : thanks to the adoption of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act by President Trump, the largest tax cut legislation in history that Marco Rubio helped pass through his legislation effort to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000, and to the elimination of the death tax and of the marriage penalty tax we provided the strongest economic growth in modern history that made America the best place in the world to do business, reduced taxes for all Americans, helped create 7 and a half million new jobs, including 500 000 manufacturing jobs, brought our national unemployment rate at its lowest rate in more than 50 years and brought the Hispanic and African-American unemployment rates at their lowest ever recorded.

Thanks to those pro-growth policies, our middle-class is stronger than ever before as the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy reports that a family of four with annual income of $73,000 (median family income) saw a tax cut of more than $2,058, a 58 percent reduction in federal taxes. A single parent with one child earning $41 000 a year saw a tax cut of $1,304, a 73 percent reduction in federal taxes. Nine out of ten taxpayers with annual income between $64,000 and $108,000 earned an average federal tax cut of $1400 in 2018. And 90 %  taxpayers winning between $40,000 and $64,000 got an average federal tax cut of $810, while 87 percent of taxpayers with annual income between $108,000 and $232,000 saw an average federal tax cut of $2,710. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act doubled the standard deduction for an individual from $6,000 to $12,000 and for a family from $12,000 to $24,000. 105 million Americans took the standard deduction according to the IRS statistics of income (SOI) database.

Despite those positive results, Tammy Duckworth voted against the TCJA in addition of opposing the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act as well as the elimination of the inheritance tax and voting in favor of the death tax and the marriage penalty tax. No wonder that she wants to increase taxes and make America a harder place to do business, punish success, ship jobs and businesses overseas and make us more dependent on foreign energy, which will undo the progress of the last 8 years.

There is still work to do in order to achieve prosperity for all Americans and the right person for the job is Marco Rubio.

In 2013, he co-sponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act which required the Small Business Administration to conduct an annual study to estimate the total cost of regulations on small businesses. He served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, making strong contributions to America's prosperity by passing legislation protecting the interests of American small businesses and reducing taxes on them, thus reinforcing their competitiveness, productivity and their ability to expand, to innovate, to sell and to create good-paying jobs. No wonder that small businesses such as Industrial Weldors & Machinists in Minnesota, Guy Chemical Company in Pennsylvania, Hinee Gourmet Coffee in Texas, Deckscapes in Virginia, Advanced Superabrasives in North Carolina, Rockford Ball Screw in Illinois, Northwest Motor Services in Washington, WebHobby Shop in Michigan and Junk King in Nevada are expanding operations, increasing wages, providing new benefits, and hiring more employees.

Marco Rubio will be helped by John James, a man who ran businesses such as the James Group International and created jobs by managing and optimizing the company's customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes through designing and implementing complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. As CEO, he grew the company into a major trading partner with Michigan’s auto industry. And as a U.S. Senator, he fought every single day for the promotion of economic opportunity through lower taxes and free enterprise.

There's no more qualified team to manage the economy than the Rubio/James ticket.

Under their leadership, we will keep taxes low so you can keep more of your hard-earned money and so we will preserve America's status as the best business-friendly environment in the world, we will reduce middle-class taxes from 22 % to 15 % while indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle for the sake of a stronger American middle-class, which is key to a strong economy.

We're going to get America to energy independence by taking advantage of our oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, tide, hydroelectric energies, invest a part of oil drilling revenues into the development of renewable energies instead of doing so by taking away taxpayers' money. We'll promote free trade with our allies to make our country the most competitive nation in the world economy and to make certain that American businesses will be able to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments.

We will make infrastructure development a top priority by investing into it as well as by reducing the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; turning back control of the highways to the states; stopping special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; repealing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund.

The choice of this election : either we move back to economic sluggish through job-killing tax-hike and big government policies or we pursue America’s progress through the promotion of tax reform and free enterprise. And that's why the Rubio/James ticket is the clear choice for this election in the process of moving America forward and guaranteeing prosperity for all through their proven and steady leadership.
