Romney.

Gingrich would probably be the best leader of Republicans, but Romney would be the best leader for America (and the most "presidential").

This is a hard choice.

Their leadership skills are all fairly poor, from what I have seen.

It's like there's 7 guns infront of me and I have to pick the best to shoot myself with, their leadership is that poor.

Really?  I'd think that Romney's success in venture capital and in managing the '02 Olympics should evidence some ability to lead.

Well, judging how well Palin is doing in the polls, I think it's obvious that experience is thrown out the window when many Republicans are voting.

'02 Olympics? Old news.

Venture capital? Since when do venture capitalists win the Presidency?

Obama seems to be redefining the Presidency, perhaps as much as Reagan did. One may like that or dislike that, but it will take much more than three years to catch up with the change that he brings.

I wasn't addressing Republicans.

Seriously?

Frankly, I think that any poll with Ron Paul on the site is a bad indication of judgment. I like Ron Paul, but frankly his presence on a poll reminds me of Nascar races where the hosts will ask viewers who they think will win the race, if Dale Earnhardt Jr. is an option he always wins the poll; the most annoying part is the poll is taken when he is sitting 20th and the race is half over.

Ron Paul has some nice ideas that are not what the Republican Party will address. He is not in leadership of the Republican caucus, as well as he does not sit as a ranking member in any standing committees. He is simply a movement, not a leader. I think that Ron and Rand Paul and to a differing extent Gary Johnson are easily interchangeable. Once Rand gets elected (if he does) to the US Senate, then the torch will pass to him with the Paulites. Or if Gary Johnson runs in 2012.

My point is, that I think this is a dumb assessment. I think we should grade in terms of leadership not popularity. I am a liberal Democrat, and my vote in the poll was for Mike Pence. He is a leader in the Republican Caucus and will probably have a strong religious right following in 2012 if he decides to run, if not he is clearly going to give Cantor or Boehner a run for their money in leadership.

Redefining it how? In the way George McClellan redefined the role of commanding the Union Army? The guy is a pussified George W. Bush with a tan...
