What is Chris Christie's political future. He was a U.S. attorney from 2002 to 2009, won the governorship in 2009 and was reelected in 2013. He was rumored to run for president in 2012, but declined, and ran for president in 2016. He's facing problems with the Bridge-gate issue that was revealed in 2013 and 2014. Regardless of what happens, what is his political fate?

I think Christie will be a top choice for Attorney General if Trump wins. He really wanted to be Trump's VP, but he gave it to Mike Pence, Indiana's governor. If Hillary Clinton wins, then Christie will serve out his lackluster second term as governor and probably run for president in 2020 or 2024, or may be a Republican lobbyist or lawyer.

Christie can legally run again for governor in 2021, but that's very unlikely.

N.J. biz writes, don't write Christie off yet. You have to understand that he is corrupt, but he's also politically talented. If he escapes the Bridgegate scandal this year, or 2017, he could run for president in 2020 or 2024, or N.J. governor again in 2021. He may leave politics for good, but we'll see.
