Well, my friends, we tried.  I'd like to thank all my supporters for coming to the polls, and both my opponents for a clean and hard fought campaign.

Dammit, it pains me to see that in a region that makes such a fuss about electing 'true Southerners' to represent it, that the only actual Southerner in the race loses.

Sorry to hear it Dubya, you tried hard.

Better luck next time, Dubya.  Do you have any future political ambitions?

Thanks to everyone.

LOL, didn't think about that.

Better luck next time, Dubya. Do you have any future political ambitions?

I'd rather not disclose specifics at the time, but let it be known this won't be the last y'all will see of me. Wink

Thanks for giving me and Bono a good race Dubya. Good luck in your plans for October (President?, Senate?, Governor?).

I was proud to vote for you several times, my friend.  You did a fine job as Governor.  I'm sorry you lost. Sad

However, I think that the others are right in that you have a future in here.  As you said, this and the last we all will see of ya. Wink

You haven't quite lost yet, though, Dubya.  I think there's some complications with some of your opponent's votes that could perhaps throw it into a run-off.
