I'm surprised it isn't already banned there. You'd think WA along with OR would have been the very first to ban it.

The West has a strong "law and order" streak.  Look at California.

But the Pacific Northwest has been the most socially liberal region in the country, at least in recent decades.

- Oregon was a state that rejected giving illegal immigrants driver licenses by nearly a 2:1 vote :

- Oregon rejected GMO labeling in 2014: https://ballotpedia.org/Oregon_Mandatory_Labeling_of_GMOs_Initiative,_Measure_92_(2014)

GMO labeling is mostly advocated by conservative aligned conspiracy theorists.

Most liberals oppose GMO labeling (Sanders is an exception).

Mre than Half the Countries in Europe banned GMO's : https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn28283-more-than-half-of-european-union-votes-to-ban-growing-gm-crops/

I would say its definitely advocated more by liberals than conservatives.

One of the surprising things is that West Virginia doesn't have the death penalty.

On Crime issues, I would say West Virginia never was that Conservative. Just look at the 1988 election

Well, you say a lot of things that aren't true. It's never stopped you before.

Europe is more liberal than America and they were the ones who did this

Also Jeff Merkley is a liberal and he supports gmo labeling too : https://www.google.com/amp/s/articles.oregonlive.com/politics/index.ssf/2016/03/gmo_labeling_fight_still_alive.amp
