Is Herschel Walker the worst GOP Senate nominee since Roy Moore or does he take the title of his own?

Moore is "a thing in his own class". To lose statewide as a Republican candidate in present day Alabama is "something".... Much more so, then possible Walker loss in much more "purple" Georgia....

Walker would win in AL and Moore would get crushed in the first round in GA, preventing a runoff.

Moore was in a class of his own as far as terrible candidates go.

Has Herschel Walker been accused of child molestation?

There’s your answer.

Roy Moore single-handedly proved "candidate quality" matters. GA, AZ, PA, and NV saw Democrats overperform, but those states being winnable by Democrats was never in question.

Roy Moore lost Alabama, which is essentially an R+∞ electorate.

Unless Walker loses the run-off by 25 points, Moore.

Roy Moore is a once-in-a-generation level of bad candidate. He lost Republicans a special, off-year election in Alabama.

Moore wouldn’t even make into the Republican primary runoff in GA as he couldn’t even do it in 2020 AL.

Roy Moore is a once-in-a-generation level of bad candidate. He lost Republicans a special, off-year election in Alabama.

He was a bad candidate who ran a bad campaign, but special elections are finicky. He lost more because Republicans didn’t show up than because they voted for Jones. Moore likely would’ve won a regularly scheduled election as the allegations would’ve been drowned out by all the other campaign news.
