Okay, a couple of notes:

-This turn still has 18 hours left, it lasts until the afternoon of Sunday.
-The article is coming within the next two hours, Obama and another important candidate are dropping out.

the second one to be anyone, but I have 2 ideas as to who they are.

still wondering why Daniels would ever get within 100 miles of Chris Christie

Still, they're on opposite ends of the Republican spectrum for some issues.

From my research, Daniels and Christie held a decent and somewhat close political relationship in 2011, with public and private praise from both ends. Given that Christie looks as a plausible nominee, is beginning to recieve establishment support and Fletcher is sadly tarred with some of what happened during his Governorship, it seems more than reasonable to me that he could endorse Christie.

Not to mention Christie at this point on his career still has an ability to appeal to Republicans from different sides, something he only lost later on. Plus, Daniels didn't endorse the more conservative challengers to Romney in OTL 2012, which are in the current mold of Fletcher right now in many aspects.

Since Grassr00ts seems uninterested in playing as Obama, I wonder if I could take over for him?

Obviously, if he says no, I won't do it...but I'd hate to see Obama go down this way.

It would probably be a more compelling narrative, but the players have pointed out it is a bit unfair and expressed their preference for Obama dropping out. You could join as another Democrat of course, the news article is going to be up in a few minutes and it would be credible for new challengers to emerge after the President has left the race.

I think Obama should stay if someone is willing to play as him.

Well, in that case, assuming Vice-President Biden has not endorsed any other candidate, I can play as Biden.

I would also ask for a turn extension to allow me to catch up with the rules, as well as write a schedule, etc.

Hey, who’s the Secretary of State? Just wondering since Clinton’s still a Senator in this TL

Should be John Kerry.

Sure thing, unless there are any objections I'll be pleased to welcome you as Biden. Turn was ending tomorrow and had been extended already, so I don't want to draw it too much. Is Monday afternoon enough?

That should be enough time for an abbreviated schedule for November...assuming there are no debates this month.

Thanks! Also, couldn’t have been more eloquent on the exits of Obama and Romney.

Also, no objection to an extension. Wanna see what a Biden candidacy looks like.

It will be assumed Biden entered the race after the debate. There are more debates to come of course.

Assuming no one else has any objections to Biden entering the race, I will begin writing his Schedule Sunday Afternoon...which may or may not include an announcement speech...unless Lumine deems that unneeded.

Biden makes sense and makes the democrat primary more interesting.

Fwiw I was very surprised that the republican primary has the most active people picking rather low energy candidates Tongue if we'd had Palin/Perry/Huckabee etc it would have been much harder for Christie

Has only 1% in the next polls to show him at low energy

Can the turn not be extended anymore? Just let Biden come in next turn.

Fair enough...gives me more time to prepare.
