Ivison has said on Twitter he doesn't believe it will happen, but being discussed by senior establishment types. Probably the same guys who said Harper might resign after his Israel trip 2 years ago.

Agree with MacDougall here.

If Kenney runs, doubt he (or Raitt) enters before Labour Day.

Reid is spearheading an effort to draft Ambrose.

Bernier now opposes supply management. Sadly, no one who has a shot at winning will agree with him.

I'm torn between a hopeless vote for social conservatism, a hopeless vote against supply management and a hopeless vote for parliamentary reform. Tongue

His own campaign co-chair, Gourde, disagrees. As do Hus and Berthold.

DC, I count myself in that group but I won't vote for Bernier.

Not a lot. As DC said, libertarians are marginal and Bernier himself is a flawed candidate. He wouldn't have appeal here outside of where we already have seats. If you want a more free-market (Blue) candidate but don't like Kenney's social conservatism, then Bernier's your guy.

Speaking of Bernier, he compared supply management to Soviet agriculture and has advocated goldbuggery in the past. Now, Anglo friends, do you see why he isn't taken seriously here?

I'd like to see a poll without O'Leary and maybe MacKay, just to see where his voters go.

Kenney keeping door open to both arenas, pissed at the warring tribes. Also takes an even subtle shot at Reds than Poilievre did last year.

But Kenney is probably heading through the provincial door, per Radwanski ($$$).

YUGE: Kenney is leaving federal politics and heading for Edmonton, probably to commandeer the PCAA's smoking hulk. Best of luck to him, and hopefully he joins Brown and Pallister.

Flanagan says that's exactly Kenney's plan: commandeer the hulk and merge it with Wildrose.
