DC Fine's last post is something that I am not going to get into right away, because there is a lot to respond to and it would be better to discuss the many talking points one by one.
It would be better to discuss it in a different thread, however.

I agree that the thoughtless have a hard time with the Golden Rule Christianity style.

The bible disagree with it as well as it says to turn the other cheek, which rewards evil, and is the opposite of a reciprocity law that wants us to give back in kind, which is to not reward evil with good.

Your quotes  show why we are to judge carefully as we follow this quote.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.

Even God, as how would we know God is good or evil unless we test his laws, behavior and rules?
