Opinions of recent ones:

2008: Great primary, average election.
2004: Interesting, but not great.
2000: Poor campaign, great election night (kinda like the Yankee version of 2010)
1996: Boring as sh**t.
1992: Interesting
1988: Interesting
1984: Not worth it.
1980: Interesting, start of the "Sixth" Party System
1976: Interesting from a historical perspective
1972: Not worth it.
1968: One of the best ones - very interesting circumstances, very tight election, great primaries, etc.
1964: Not worth it, though Johnson ran a strong campaign.
1960: Interesting due to the tightness and for similar reasons to 2008 ("minority" breaking pre-concieved notions about candidates of that background)
1956: Not worth it.
1952: Boring.
1948: Great one. Biggest upset of all time?
1936-44: All of these are fairly boring.
1932: Interesting due to the start of the Fifth Party System.
