Results:

Progressive Conservatives: 61 (-12) 47% (-15%)
Liberals: 17  (+12)  29%  (+2%)
New Democrats: 4 (+2) 10% (+2%)
Alberta Alliance: 1 (no change) 9% (+9%)

Notes: The PC's only won 2 seats in Edmonton, and the Liberals won three in Calgary. The Alliance, despite being shut out of the debate was able to win in Cardston (along the Montana border) with a no-name candidate. All 4 NDP seats in Edmonton. Conservatives won all the rural seats except for Cardston.

Wow! That is a pretty bad result for the Conservatives!  ....and to lose seats in Calgary?! Amazing.
What was the reason for this poor showing?

Would've been nice to see them defeated in Alberta, but obviously there's no chance of that. Still, a poor result like this is good enough for me! Smiley
