"I would ask, dear brothers, that we remember that we must let the Holy Spirit guide us to be true to our God, our Church, and ourselves.  I pray so, as I find myself as a lost sheep looking for a shepherd."

Eugen smiles, looks befuddled, and sits down.

"This is a momentous moment that God has bestowed upon us.  As all of you know, billions of people are watching this event unfold and we must keep their views and prayers in our hearts. However, we must let God be the only motivator of our actions in this Conclave. May God be with us all.

My brothers, let me first say that I have complete faith in both God and in you all to perform the task before us today.  We must all be mindful of the fact that the decision made here will affect not only ourselves, but all people throughout the world, young and old, rich and poor.  May the Lord guide us now in our journey ahead to determine the most worthy successor to the late Pope Benedict XVI, God rest his soul.  Amen.

My brothers, we are called together on this most solemn occasion to choose a new leader for our troubled times.  We must meditate thoughtfully over our decision, so that we may cast our ballot knowing our decision is the best possible outcome.  I pray that the Father blesses our humble congregation with the strength needed to choose a wise leader for His flock.

I have questions only.  I would be willing to answer any, but I believe the answers of others is more important.

Fellow brothers of the faith, we stand today, as so often before, with tragedy behind us and the prospect of renewed joy in the service of God before us. Let us at this moment keep in mind that we are of the same faith and have a duty to God, to ourselves, to the Popes of the past and last, but not least, to the many troubled souls now waiting for our directions, to look for a path of unity and not allow regional or other conflicts over-shadow the great work we have before us, as one church.

Dear Brothers in Christ,
We are here together to choose a new Pope to lead our great faith and uphold the vaules of this great faith. We all my not agree on some issues about our faith, but we all are aiming for the same goal and that is win soul for the Lord of Father. This is a time to put aside our differences and pick a Pope who will lead and guide us into the future.

My fellow brothers, I pray that the next successor of Peter will live up to the recent examples of Benedict and John Paul. I pray that we can come together and find our new sheperd to lead us in this world which is ever  less welcoming to faiths such as our own.

Whomever that new shepherd be, I pray that he shall have the courage to  stand proudly and proclaim His word, and the wisdom to guide our Church through this new age. Amen.

Brothers,

I pray that whomever the Spirit guides us to choose, may he be as good of a shepherd as John Paul and Benedict.

Thank you all for the words the you have spoken... may they all have been inspired by the Spirit.  Now, let us move onto the first ballot.  I ask each of you to pray in your own may before casting your vote.  You may begin.

Assuming one does not have to put in every detail in the vote and further following everyone else in ignoring Supersoulty's point about being allowed to vote for oneself: Bishop Santiago

I am assuming this is a coalition building excercise on everyone's part... I certainly don't discourage it.
