That's the end of the chapter and the story. The angel, the commander of the army of the Lord, comes to Joshua and tells him to take off his sandals...and we're not privy for the rest of the story. Chapter Six starts off later, with God (not the angel) telling Joshua the battle plan for the taking of Jericho.

Did an angel visit Joshua for the sole purpose of telling him to take his sandals off?
